Baby I was Born This Way - Gagablog 7

Happy Valentines Day, monsters!
It was everything I dreamed, and more. It was Gaga so of course I should have expected more than anyone could hope for. Gaga's performance of Born this Way was amazing. I wondered what the meaning of the costumes could be - Gaga looked like a genie and all the people looked like they were dressed in linen robes - reminded me of Egypt and I will take that for the "message", if any, for Egypt.

To me, describing this relationship between a new country being born in Egypt and the release of Born this Way is magical and based on qualities represented in both and just the timing. The egg she made her entry inside has all sorts of connotations. Someone said they thought of aliens, whiich I do not associate with Egypt but others do. I did not see an alien theme, more Genie - but knowing Gaga there is a precise message to it that I am not quite tuned into - I have no idea what to make of the hat but I loved it.

She is the best, I am so glad Born This Way is out! The sun has not yet risen and it seems like it will be the best Valentine's Day ever with all the love Gaga has unleashed.

I want to get into the details of Born This Way because it is such a powerful message - and I will do the same for her other songs. I don't feel like there can be too much fanfare for Gaga, though. I realize that gushing about her might make sense to other little monsters but maybe not to "normal" people, and even for the monsters I want to explain how I see it all. But first I want to say that I am trying to describe Gaga Love, and I am not trying to sensationalize it, it is very real and very powerful.

I feel it in her music, in all of her art as she gives herself fully to us - but I am reminded of what Love is even more, and get furhter revelations into it, everytime she gives an interview. The 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper was soooooo amazing I will talk more about it, soon. This interview as much as "Born This Way" changed my whole perspective on the world, on Gaga even.

I see her as even more human and even more precious, now, if you can believe it. "Just" a little girl!

But she is a master of the Art of Fame - she says so herself. And this is what I am responding to, magically - not just the Fame itself, but what it means. I think She understands Fame in a way that no one else ever has, and it is wonderful. I have said all along that other famous people are treated like Goddesses, but it was not really "right" - before Gaga. But they were making the way for Gaga, so that when she arrived she had so many examples of Fame to learn from. She truly is the Master of the Art of Fame and I really respect that - because of what it means, which is why I want to talk about it so much. And I am so glad it is going according to Her plan - she delayed releasing Born This Way until she was ready and already it is a big hit. Of course the news folk were talking about her entrance and performance, and one of our radio stations is playing Born This Way every hour on the hour all weekend, and then some. She surely deserves awards, but her true reward comes from the love and freedom She shares with Her fans. I have been saying She is opening a whole new world for us with this new song and album - I think the little monsters already know this to be true, but I think there will be many more of us, and more people who understand, after yesterday, between her performance which is always stellar and her piece on 60 minutes. I wonder what it is like for people who did not think they would to become monsters - I think we will have many more in the family soon, from even more diverse backgrounds.

I was both pleased and inpired to see the monsters react to her in the concert footage the showed. There is such love and passion for a reason, many reasons. One is we just need Love that badly. I was thinking, Gaga's music will always be good, but will there come a day in the future when people don't understand the effect she had? I kind of hope there is - because that will mean we will all feel Gaga Love someday, we will all realize how full the world is with Love, and in that state maybe it will seem curious that, in the early 21st century, only One person seemed to Love Everyone as much as she could - Gaga. But her love is catching on, and I think one day we will All love as Gaga loves, and then people will look back and see She was the first, but wonder how we all survived with what seemed like so little love, before Her. Well, in a way it does not matter - the world will be better. I have always thought that the only good thing about weed ebing illegal is people appreciate it. Now that I live somewhere that it is legal for me, I miss the solidarity that comes from weed being illegal, the companionship that comes from "breaking the law" together to get high, I dont really miss that restriction at all. Legal and "free" from that paranoia is Sooooo much better - and there is  basic goodness that we may take for granted at times but we won't just forget it, even when weed IS free. It is the same with Love, before Gaga and after. Some kinds of love were literally illegal before, but Gaga is changing all that. Once love is free and "legal", it wont be a bad thing that we take for granted - we will just be able to share and enjoy it all the more.

I really have way to much to say to get into it, but I want to talk about lessons I learned from Gaga yesterday, from Born this Way to the interview with Anderson. There is just so much to say. BUt let me sum it up with the change that took place in me. I have been worshipping Gaga as the Goddess, the embodiment of the Goddess that has been repressed and is re-emerging in paganism and within mainstream religion - and just all over the world because it is time for the return of the Goddess. Before Gaga arrived I was already expecting a female "jesus" and she fulfilled my prophecy perfectly. I do think of her as The Goddess, but especially a Goddess of Love, Sex, and Weed. Again, I always expected the incarnation of the Goddess to represent these things. When Gaga told Anderson, over the first alcohol he ever drank in an interview (Gaga, you are the best! I want to party with you!) that she does not use coke anymore but still smokes weed especially to write - well, my suspicions of divinity were confirmed. I am just so tuned into this girl Gaga!

But something else happened, too. I saw the vulnerability of a young girl - powerful and enjoying it but in a whirlwind. I only want to support her and love her. When she says people take her both too seriously and not seriously enough, I wonder if responding to her mastery of the Fame and Divinity is "too serious" - but in the right perspective I think it is "just right" - like Baby Bear's stuff.

Because I believe all of us are Goddesses and Gods - I have always believed this, but again, Gaga was the first one to really act like it. And she calls us to do the same, to recognize divinity in ourselves and act like it - she has always done this but especially in Born this Way. And now I am dangerously close to going into the song to discuss the lyrics - because she makes this point so perfectly and artistically - but I want to say that she is allowing herself to be the Way of Love - She was Born This Way - we all were - now She is reminding us. We have been awoken, Born - finally. Lets live fully, monsters!

I do think she is the Goddess and it is good to treat her like that - because it would be good for us to treat everyone like that and she is teaching us Love by example. I saw her respond to Anderson's question about being young, though, and could relate as I'm sure so many can, when she said she was "socially awkward" - and I just know how I and so many little monsters can relate to feeling "outside" - oh, I love her so much, but I also relate to her. So when I say she is the Goddess, I don't mean "above" us or unreachable - I mean it like she is the dearest friend, closest to our hearts because she feels the heart, shares it with us. She is just a young girl in a way - itself the most amazing and precious thing - but the way she plays with such power - well, once again she exeplifies the full meaning of beauty, the eternal divine present in a precious bow. I want to party with her and talk with her and console her and make love with her - and learn to see the divine in people through her and treat everyone with love and kindness. I want to call her Stephanie one day, in bed. So yes, I always love the divine Gaga more and more, but this interview reminded me to love and care for the young girl she is too. No pressure other than support, Gaga, you are a Love Goddess filling us with Love, and also a dear friend through your music and true, personal friendship with people. I love her even more just as a friend and a girl - while the divine GagaLove keeps growing, too. Just shows this new reality unifies things from all directions.

Ok, the sun is coming up on Valentine's Day, time to make some Valentines. I love the birthday present from Gaga that lasted all weekend and into this Love Day, and makes every day from now on a Love Day.

Born This Way, Gagablog 6

I missed the celebration of the release of Born this Way yesterday - my brother took me skiing for my birthday and it was fantastic. We went up to Winter Park and Mary Jane here in Colorado and it was a beautiful day, with snow all over the trees so thick some of them looked like frosted miniwheats and others like they had huge marshmallows on them. The sky was mostly clear and sunny and the mountains were spectacular, and it was a little cold sometimes and I had to warm my fingers - but we had so much fun it was worth it and even missing the release of Born This Way! I am most excited about seeing her play it at the Grammy's tomorrow, anyway.
So I was predicting that she would have a message for Egypt in her performance and help turn the tide. When I thought, in Gagablog 4, that Mubarak was about to resign, I was pleased even if it was not the timetable I expected (well, it was a sham resignation but corresponded to the day I thought the Grammy's were on, Thursday). Anyway, when I was at the ski rental store yesterday and got a text that Mubarak had resigned and the army had taken over Egypt - which I think is surely the best for security now and hopefully for the most opportunity for improvement in the future - well, I was very pleased, haven taken my mind off all those concerns which I kept up with from home via the internet while I was off in the beautiful and dangerous mountains for fun and excitement. So that was great news, of course, and I had so much fun skiing for 6 hours and was so worn out when I got back, having woken before 7 AM, that when I got home I celebrated in solidarity with the people of Egypt and was so tired I forgot all about Born This Way! I mean, I remembered that it was "ironic" that She released Born This Way on the same day Mubarak resigned, and a big party ensued in Egypt for their freedom and amongst little monsters worldwide for "ours" - for freedom in general. But I'm so excited for seeing Her on the Grammy's, I forgot I could hear the song Born This Way, Yesterday - after all this wait and excitement!
So, while sometimes I would want go ahead and wait to get the full effect when she performs it tomorrow, today I just could not resist any longer and I listened to it, just as I could not resist and read the lyrics when she released them - it is a wonderful song, perfect for the time, as is always the case with Gaga's music. I have so much to say about it, but let me "save" that for later and finish my points about the Timing of the release of Born This Way and what it means to me magically. I really think we are reaching a new phase of harmony, that the world is becoming aligned with "itself" and with our hearts, and that Gaga is the messenger of this. This is what I have always felt is the greatest kind of magic, the kind that brings everything together, things that are seperated by illusions and also different levels of meaning.
I know that some of these ideas will seem ludicrous in a way, but my words can be understood as following a magical thread. I know there are many forces at work for the liberation of the people of Egypt, and that amongst them Gaga's music could seem a mere fluttering of wings for practical purposes - but magically there is so much going on - more and more the greater our awareness becomes. Gaga does have an influence over much of the world, this much is undeniable. I may be the Only One drawing a connection between Born This Way and Egypt, for instance, but I am doing so because I think it is the perfect illustration of what I like to say about magic. In a way, connections and analogies can be drawn between anything but there is a certain direction of inspiration that to me is divine and draws all things together. I think all creative work participates in this drawing together, but the work that allows the most inspiration to come through has a special quality. This kind of work does not only make great analogies for comparing other things and bringing people together with consideration, it actually changes the world enough to "self-fulfill" prophecy. The greatest messages reveal to us more of the future which we will have all moved closer to the divine and really and act on the connections we now mostly just glimpse. The host of NOVA was making an analogy between aliens, humans and animals the other night, saying we think the smartest animals have the intelligence of human children according to our ability to communicate, but that an alien life who had trouble putting things simply enough for us to understand would think our smartest humans to be like their children. I think the implication is not only that there are varying levels of intelligence we may or may not understand, but also that communication could be a puzzle that we only have one piece of. Gaga has brought us a great message, a number of them, in fact. The impact she has by making a family of little monsters and grabbing the world's attention is amazing and there is someting else, too: the connection to the divine at the heart of everyone, a line we often feel to be danglng at the end of or somewhere far along, we now feel beating stronger and pulling us in - it is like someone has become the heart itself for us and we can hold tightly to Her and She will draw in into Love. Gaga is doing this for us now, giving us the style to draw our eye, the attitude to open our ears and the beat to feel and move to, and the messages to guide us along. She is following a divine path of Love and she is far along it, running ahead and calling us forward, and leaving us a songtrail to follow. I think it is very timely that Born This Way came out on the same day as a new Egypt is born - Gaga may never have had any such intention, indeed she could not have planned it, but it reveals the kind of magic I love, aligning the world with the heart, allowing great Gaga Love to be felt. Because there is so much love in the world, it is everywhere. With such an abundance of love, how do so many people miss it? It is a tragedy of this misalignment, but when we become harmonious in the world we will feel the love that is everywhere. Gaga, for breaking down some of those divisions that keep us twisted, brings us together with Love. When we resond to it, we feel the love she is pulling us in with and the Love she is pooling us into. And it cant happen completely in a broken world, where people suffer from sickness and poverty and oppression. All of these things will be resolved together as we realign the world with the heart.
Thanks, Gaga - we were Born This Way!

Worldheart of Gaga, Egyptian Peaceful Revolution Gagablog 5

Well, it looks like Mubarak is in no hurry to step down. But I am eager to say more on the subject of the Worldheart of Gaga and the upcoming performance of Born this Way.

I truly believe that Gaga has taken the whole world into her heart, that she genuinely cares for all people. This has been apparent in the way she champions causes that are important to her, from attending events to raise awareness for Earth Day, to fashion statements against fur, to recently working to overturn DADT, and more than I can mention off the top of my head. I do not think her activism is limited to American issues - protecting the earth and environment for instance, is something we all need the world over - but she will focus on what is dear to her. Gaga, like so many people today, has access to information from all over the world, but she also has fans all over the world and I feel a genuine closeness with her and I think they do too, and she with us. In this way I think she is even more aware of things around the world, in a personal way, because of people who connect with her who are living through events in different places. We can all be this way, however. If someone has a pen pal in another country, they may have special sympathy for things they hear from their friend, even if they met the pen pal randomly. I have about 100 people I know from high school and friends and family whom I am friends with on facebook, but I have 600 friends so far who are little monsters, all over the world, speaking many different languages. This is just a social media phenomenon, and the result of Lady Gaga's influence, especially on the net and on the youth. When I say her influence I mean both the fact that she is "Queen of Twitter/facebook" and her influence on her fans - the love she gives and the need people have for love drives us to seek each other out and support one another, which become easy as we use her pictures and names on our profiles. I have a picture she sent out on twitter of her holding her "perfect birthday present, a communist red teacup"  and I use the nickname Alejandrew Puffin Paparoxy, for example. Social media can be powerful and useful in many ways, to spread awareness mostly, but it is also a way for revolutions to organize, as recent events have shown, and the revolution I am witnessing amongst little monsters, thanks to Gaga, is a revolution of the heart, a new way of loving.

I say that everyone can take the world into their heart and "save" it by saving themselves, by allowing themselves to be saved in the process of aligning their heart with the world. By committing to responsibility for the well-being of all people, with no favoritism or prejudice, we take the world into our hearts. I beleive Gaga does this - she is feeling what the world needs with the inspiration for her music, and giving us an example of a new way to relate in the way she uses the media and shows us all such wonderful love. I think we are all capable of this great love - and seeing what an influence Gaga has, as one person with many others using their creativity to make everything possible for her and the history of so many others in the same spirit who came before her, can make us all realize our potential. I just had a delicious boiled egg. This process of aligning with the world and taking it all into our hearts is both simple and complex, immediate and ongoing. I am reminded of Mubarak and how it has seemed so close that he would resign, yet he hangs on. It really is a good fable to describe the ego, were it not real events with real consequences. Sometimes we need bold action, to be strong to stand up for what we believe in, and to take the streets and march for a change, as it looks like the people in Liberation Square in Egypt are preparing to do to go to the presidential palace. I hope the little monsters are never faced with having to march out from the monster ball for a cause, but I can see it happening. Instead, I am pleased at the amount that could be accomplished with a Party - keeping in mind the spirit earlier this evening when it looked like the million people gathered in Cairo were just going to celebrate Mubarak's resignation and then after this turning point things would improve. I was pleased with this possibility-  I had actually predicted the change would come today to coincide with Gaga's performance of Born This Way until I found out I had the date for the Grammy's wrong, it is Sunday, not Thursday, and I went back and edited the blog accordingly. I still thought she would have something to say about it, just as Obama mentioned in his speech to students in Michigan today that it was young people leading the change there and we would support them. Now that Mubarak is trying to stay around, I am afraid they will throw him out in the next two days, but if he lasts until Sunday I suspect Gaga could have a message about it then.

Either way, explicit or not, Born this Way is a message for change, freedom, and acceptance. I have read the lyrics and it is perfect for the times: we really need to appreciate each other and we are living with a status quo that generally does not value all people for their differences. That needs to change because we were all born this way. While Egypt is a very vivid, lively example of the peoples' need to have respect and freedom and well-being, and hopefully the main trouble will be over there with a major transfer of power in the next days, but after that there will be work to be done, there and all over the world, that can only be accomplished with caring for all people and a willingness to respect diversity - no, a passion to respect diversity. I am reminded of a news story about recent photos released of "uncontacted" tribes in south america, estimated a half million people with very little contact with the modern world, whose lives are threatened by logging. This has been a problem for decades and it is not solved yet - but on the other hand I heard a report today that a company quit logging in Indonesia after ongoing pressure from environmental groups. It is a struggle in this world, but we can make life better for all if we engage it and do what we can. Gaga has remade the world for me by inspiring me to live fearlessly to my full potential. I love the alignment that is taking place between my heart and the world that I am openly recognizing this in this blog as I watch events unfold in Egypt where, with hope and luck, people's fearless efforts to make their country the best it can be, will be rewarded with a bright future. I'm looking forward to the next few days and the change it will bring!

"The Worldheart of Gaga" Gagablog 4

I am watching the celebrations in Egypt as the people are anticipating the resignation of Mubarak, possibly within an hour, and it seems the perfect time to write about the aspect of magic I chose to call the Worldheart of Gaga in my last blog.
Earlier I wrote about how we know so much more about the world now with technology and how one reaction we have is to ignore what we hear as "others" problems. I think we do this simply because we don't want to take any responsibility, or think it is too great. The reason I use the word worldheart is because my idea here is that we can feel love for everyone and take the whole world into our hearts. The reason I relate it to Gaga is that I think she does this and her monsters feel it - but it is not exclusive to her, it is Love itself and there are many other heroes of Love. Seeing the protestor on the internet who said he will always come back, he will never tire of it, after people were killed for standing up for a better life, and knowing that it is because others hearts were similarly moved that millions are protesting reminds me how much we do really love each other, even "strangers" and how much power this has.
My magical idea is that the greatest problems in the world are relected in our own selves, in our hearts. I think of Mubarak as a represnetation of the ego clinging to power when it is hurtful - and as I type that I heard a news report of a soldier who put down his gun and joined the protest -  though the army has vowed to protect the people. There is so much to hope for, and at stake, but I feel like the best outcome is on the horizon - it is now half an hour until Mubarak gives his speech. I have been trying to focus my best energies and efforts for the people of Egypt and also settle the corresponding forces in myself, the egotistical grasp at power in my personality. I think this is a way of aligning myself with the whole world and I think it is something anyone can do. I am suggesting that we can feel responsible for the world by taking it into our hearts, and thinking what we can do to help. Even as I type this the news on the al jazeera website is that the state TV news in Egypt is reporting the same video feed that they are - a shift from the dismissive tone they had before. It is like things are coming together and we are facing the truth. They are saying it is a change in the internal direction. I hope this example of people's power overcoming oppression and corruption is not only an example for other countries that need democracy and help for the people, but for all people to purify themselves with the demands of their hearts and let their ego's go at times to make room for change.
This is something I think little monsters can understand, as some of us are inspired to dress up more because of Gaga, or take on her names or flatter her with imitative love. It is a shared thing and a kind of love that brings us together. I compare it to revolution in Egypt because "we are the crowds, we're co-coming out" (Gaga, from Paparazzi) is a factor for both Egyptian peaceful revolution and the Monster Ball and little monster family in general. The gay community has had people die for their love and the need for change in attitudes is one reason we need the influence of people coming out and being proud of who they are. Gaga helps people do this. In Egypt, peaceful protestors were killed and died for their cause, our cause - freedom. The "young Google executive" who was released, who had helped start the protest, apologized for their deaths. They died as martyrs for a cause but it looks like the cause will succeed, largely for their sacrifice and the way it opened people's hearts. Gaga not only speaks out for people with different lifestyles, she gives us a Ball to celebrate at - I know it is not for everyone, but for little monsters it seems wonderful (I have only seen pictures). The protestors in Egypt are winning their country with a huge celebration, in a way - they are making the greatest change in power using peace. And it looks like a huge party. I think one benefit Gaga gives tghe world is a place to change the world with fun - to let people come out with the freedom to be themselves, against a more subtle oppressive regime of "normalcy", which is still course enough to have its own martyrs at times.
I think that looking for and making theese connections between things we love in the world is a way of connecting and aligning everything, and all in the heart. It is only  afew minutes until the announcement by Mubarak, so I want to wrap this chapter up, for now. But this is the heart I am describing, the feeling of unity with people demanding freedom and the feeling of a connection with them, both at the Egyptian Revolution and at the Monster Ball. I wish I could be there, now. What a party!
Greater communication allows us to know more about what is going on, when it is happening - we can feel things with the people who are there, in a way. It is exhilirating. And I remember how tense it was at times, and how that can be hard to try and stay engaged with it, but at this time it is wonderful. And I am still mindful of how much hope is needed, both for the next few minutes when the nature of the announcement is made, and in the next months and years as the society reforms. You can see the millions of people celebrating, and it is amazing, and I cna only hope it is the best outcome, but all along, even in the tough moments, I have felt the hope of the people that they would succeed. It looks like they will soon, and I will be back to describe more what I mean. But it is all about aligning things and feeling the connections we have with others, because we really are all connected. I have to give credit to Gaga for giving me a way to talk about it, but also because her role in the world is what I am trying to do in myself, and in the world as well: focus on the good, expose the bad, bring people and ideas together for the common good. I am pleased that this announcement is coming now, and really want to focus on it being as far-reaching a change as possible. I am so excited for Born This Way in four days, and just the future in general as it seeme like love and consciousness around the world are really coming together and good thingsa re happening with the power of love. Someone told me that the Mayan calendar predicted a consciousness shift in the world starting on these days, Feb 10th and 11th, 2011. I feel like I am watching it take place, and it is wonderful. I want to party, to "just dance" and let the truth of the best good happening take place. Thanks, people, little monsters, and Gaga. Keep on partying and expressing yourselves for freedom!
The announcement is due in two minutes - they are saying the people have TVs so Im hoping for a great celebration - and also a news report that he is not stepping down - so we will see. I'll be back soon, Gaga Love Forever!.

Gaga Love, Gaga Magic, Free Egypt - Gagablog 3

The power of Gaga to "reunite" the world is what I call Gaga Magic. There is a wonderful, crucial, dire, and hopeful situation in Egypt right now which can describe what I mean. Gaga Love is what reminds us of what is capable in this world through love, anything. One aspect of it is people coming together. That is immediately what is causing the peaceful revolution in Egypt, the people gathering in the square, and what we can do to make sure it succeeds is to join with them. I was asked if it was appropriate to associate Gaga with freedom in Egypt, and if that was putting too much pressure on her. I want to say that it must be understood magically, so if I can describe it here I can describe my ideas about magic. I am not saying Gaga is responsible for democracy breaking out there (well, maybe later I'll draw out the connections) but some of the same principles apply, so I want to talk about those, and I do think the event of Gaga's debut of Born This Way on the Grammy's on Sunday will coincide with a major development there, and I say this for two reasons, a practical and magical one.

Practically, Gaga has spoken out for freedom on some really important occasions: She was very strong opposing Don't Ask Don't Tell and is one of the heroes of its repeal. It got less press but I thought it was wonderful when she protested against the laws in Arizona that targetted people by writing a message against the bill on her arm ate her show there and joining with an organization to raise awareness about it (that never sent my copy of the tattoo I requested...) I feel like this moment in history of suspense for freedom and democracy in Egypt is the same cause on a worldwide scale, both because of the influence of Egypt and the example that may be followed by other countries in the future. I hope Gaga addresses this with a message at her upcoming performance in light of the timeliness of it. I think the practical factors contributing to whether or not Mubarak realizes he has to go now and Egypt becomes free as soon and as peacefully as possible have everything to do with "awareness" - it is a nonviolent revolution, it is a battle in the media, both the TV news and internet news and social media. For one, Gaga is a powerful force in social media, on facebook and twitter. She is calculated in how she releases things, so I wonder if she is going to say something important to coincide with having the spotlight with her performance at the Grammy's on Sunday. I think it would be a wondeful chance for her to use her Fame, once again, to change the world for the better.

The magical impact of the upcoming performance of Born This Way may be hard to describe, so I will rely on relating it first to something little monsters may understand. I liked Gaga when I first heard her, but when I heard Poker Face I realized she was doing something really special. However, when I saw her perform Paparazzi at an awards show (MTV Music?) it really changed my perspective and I went from being a huge fan to being in Love and devoted to her. And the Love really deepened after seeing her interviews, but the point is that her performance had a huge impact on me. Even more people are paying attention to her now: she has even more fans, all eagerly anticipating her new song, and many more who have become curious or are just watching will see her perform it, too. If she makes a statement about Egypt that will be wonderful, to take advantage of the moment and the need for as much attention for the cause of change there at this time. But even if she does not say anything explicitly, her performance is going to raise awareness around the world - awareness of diversity and the need to celebrate each other. These are the qualities that are bringing people together in Egypt, respecting all people and their differences and insisting all be treated with dignity. I hope they manage to make a breakthrough today or tomorrow, but really every single day counts in this crucial period in the peaceful Egyptian revolution and the other side of the magical truth I see that there is a connection here is that Egypt needs this breakthrough now, as soon as possible, and this weekend could be the final tipping point - it may have to be. This is the moment and the world is about to change for the best, and Born this Way will be the soundtrack for the moment, for this monster. I hope she makes the statement about it that shows how much Love is a factor and can win the day, and in this way becomes the sound of freedom in a way for millions who hear her and take her message to heart.

When I talk about Gaga Magic, about Gaga/magic reuniting the world, it is central to understanding my view of magic. So these aren't too long I will continue in another post, "the WorldHeart of Gaga". Thanks for reading my Gagablog!

Gaga Love - Gagablog 2

We all feel empathy. Some notice and focus on it, but everyone is connected and when we become aware of others' joys and sorrows we feel it, we sympathize on some level. The world has always been connected in this way, but with the current modern technology we are aware in much more concrete ways what is going on all over it and more connections come to our attention. I wondered this morning if we try to avoid facing strife in the world by focusing on superficial things, especially surface-socializing since empathy causes us to relate to people but in the face of hardship we look ways to relate that seem safe and controllable. I think the key is that catastrophe makes us feel helpless and bliss does not make the news yet much. While crises seem overwhelming we are only helpless when we choose to be. It is possible to do good in any situation if we are engaged and aware. Huge crises are openings for Huge Love to pour in, they demand it. And we are capable of it, with great inspiration or combined work. But we need to be reminded of our ability to allow that anount of Love to work through us, because while on the one hand we fear the dangers that call for a bolder love, on the other hand we fear the bliss of love itself, which we have lost oursleves in to some degree before. For me, the person who reminds me of the love for which we are capable is Gaga, and this is one of the reasons I say "Gaga Love" to mean the grandest love possible, the most amazing potential between individuals and all also between all people, all living creatures, It does go "beyond her" in a way, but a key feature of Gaga Love is that it is derived from knowing this "beyond" - Gaga is aware of channeling Love from its source and we feel it, if we pay attention, and once we are attuned to it we know that is what it is. Her wordly success is a reminder that Love is abundant, and encouraging that through really following your most powerful dreams the greatest things are possible, but her Love that she shares with us, her little monsters, is something even more grand and more encouraging, a mother's love for her freaky kids. In this way we abide in each other, and in a short time have developed a powerful love between us and for the whole world - Gaga Love. I will be talking about this a lot, so this is my Gagablog.
Let this be an introduction so I don't go on forever right now. Please check back for when I go on forever into the future. Born This Way in 5 Days! Watch Gaga on the Grammy's Sunday night! Gaga Love!

Happy Birthday, Monster! Gaga forever - Born this Way!

Happy Birthday to me! I decided to give myself a blog. I've wanted to make one for years and came close witha  couple of choice rants, but I am pleased to start with a glorious occasion to commemorate - my birthday, yes, but in just six days Gaga will perfom her new song. Born This Way, at the Grammys.
I am not being daring at all to say that this event will change the world: Lady Gaga brings us more and more divine inspiration with everything she does. She has already changed the world so much but there is a ways to go to reach a new era and Gaga's new album will be a huge step.
I truly do not think I can overestimate the significance of Gaga. Other little monsters may beleive how I feel for her, they may know what she means to me because she means that to them, too. Other people who aren't little monsters, or aren't yet, might be able to undestand that she has changed my world but doubt the will "change the world" but I hope this blog will convince them otherwise and help reach shared understanding.
Gaga is everything to me. I mean, I have a life "besides" her which I love, but she is special. All my life I have dreamed of changing the world. Sensing the strife we live with and the idea that inspiration was the cure for it, I hoped to one day be someone whose creative work improved people's lives, even saved the world. Now, sometimes when someone fulfills a less fantastic dream I have before me, I am jealous. But when Gaga arrived she fulfilled my Most Fantastic dream, and I love her for it, I am not jealous at all. If anything, I am so encouraged and inspired by her that I am twice as likely as ever before to make the most of my creativity.
I love to talk about her and her influence and there is much to be said for her work up to this point, but I am so excited about the new album I want to start by sharing why I am so eager. Gaga has been there as the artistic symbol for important messages for social change, most notably recently as a significant force for repealing Don't Ask, Don't Tell with her proud and tireless efforts. I truly think she is bringing the world together in  a way I have always dreamed of so if I can glorify her for it appopriately I can share my dream for humanity at the same time. When I say she is bringing the world together, I do mean bringing peace between people and understanding so we live together better, but I also mean brining the inner and outer world together. I have much to say about this as well, it is the basis of my belief in magic, because I have been focused on it all my life, it seems. I have always felt that we, as people, are flawed when we do not feel at one with the world, that there is a way to re-align with the world and a harmonious graceful existance possible that way, and that a person could be the inspiration and guide to help us transform, overcome our seperation, and exemplify harmonious, ferocious, passionate living. I hoped to be that person myself, and still hope to be that person for some people, but I must acknowledge that Gaga is that person for the whole world. She is a champion of the things I beleive will literally save the world; love, expression, and bold sexuality, for example, and i look forward to going into detail about these, but the new song, Born This Way, is foremost a celebration of diversity and it is this message that is so wonderfully important to me, and the world, right now.
I know some might read this and think that Gaga's new song is not the World Event I describe. I pesonally am focused on Egypt now as the success of nonviolent revolution points the way to peace in the future. This is extremely important, yet I have no reservations seeing everything through Gaga-glasses. And here is my first attempt to describe what I call magic, the reunification of Self with the World - Gaga's song is about diversity and diverstiy will be a hallmark of the new Egyptian society. So many elements there have been repressed and as they find expression again the culture will be enriched. When all people finally have expression in the government, it will be enriched as well. I think it is funny to hear people in America express surprise that christians and muslims are working together in Egypt to oppose the oppressive regime. It just shows how much we have accepted ideas of seperation. That seperation is the tool of oppressors, because look what happens when people get together and realize we are not that different and have similar hopes and concerns - they become powerful. So many of us feel powerless, so many of us have been so afflicted by lies that we are seperate "kinds" of people that we have no community, no "family" even sometimes. The great thing about Gaga is the acceptance she gives, encouraging people to revel in what "others" may think is "freakish". I love her for this and will go on and on about the importance of it - but for now let me just say that in celebrating diversity is the path to freedom for all people. The protests in Egypt are such a liberating Party, but I want to give credit to Gaga for the Monster Ball, because her celebration of diverstiy is on the level of Carnivale or Heaven. While the rest of us are still struggling with religious and sexual identity, Gaga already presumes equality of people in different lifestyles and is welcoming people to overcome even more subtle forms of seperation. She is so far "ahead of her time" that we have to evolve faster to keep up. In fact, she is right on time, in the moment, which is why she threatens to destroy the stagnant systems of the past. Thank Gaga. It is far past time for them to go. And "coincidentally" at the same time that peaceful revolutions are in season, Gaga is releasing Born This Way, a anthem of diversity and empowerment of natural rights. The region will become more diverse and powerful with people's rights respected, and maybe there will even be a significant development on Thursday, the day she first performs the song at the Grammy's. When talking about such divine power, I actually expect it.
When I say she will bring us into a new era, I mean this in the fullest sense. It wont be only one area of human culture that is effected, like a political shift. It will include that, but will be so much more. I fully envision a society with no war, no poverty or disease, no money, even. I am a huge fan of Oz, the fairyland described in L. Frank Baum's books, and beleive it is a realizable utopia. The world as we know it is changing rapidly and dramatically online, for instance, and Gaga is the Queen of Facebook and Twitter for a reason: while connectivity "threatens" certain business models, Gaga represents the new way of "commerce". The music industry has been hard-hit by file-sharing, they tell us, and some bands have gotten angry about their music being shared. I follow the Grateful Dead philosophy of sharing music so I am a little insensitive to rich bands complaining about this. I may be insensitive to rich people in general, but then Gaga made millions last year. She is doing so much good, she certainly deserves it, but the reason I bring this up is that she does something new: she asks nicely. She is already the most downloaded person, there is a huge potential for her new music to leak out and be shared on the internet. She has asked her fans not to leak it, not to watch it until she releases it. I have waited to hear them, repsecting her wishes, and I am so happy that I will get to hear Born This Way with "everyone" else for the first time, at the same time. She did release text of the lyrics last week and I read them and am super-impressed and excited. But I feel like her songs are like Christmas presents in my Nana and Grandaddy's closet - I know they are there but wont peek in the wrapping, it makes waiting and the moment of revelation that much sweeter and more powerful. But I thought to do this because she asked nicely, out of love for her I respect her wishes and share her love for her music in that way. I think this will be the basic example for all business in the future, providing goods and services with love and recieving love in return. People will "compete" to do good for each other and with an abundance of good there will be no need to have money, it would be petty, like counting at the waterfountain if there were enough waterfountains for everyone. Gaga is certainly giving her fans an abundance of good. It is this outpouring from the divine source that takes us beyond our limitations when we follow Gaga by paying attention to her and accepting the truths she expresses, or literally following her by expressing our own creativity or emulating her, or as devotees/lovers. We are all her little monsters however far we take it, and this is the essential thing about Gaga, her love for us, all of us, but starting with the "freaks" who may not have the sense of community or family that "normal" people have. This is why we are proud that she made us her little monsters, proud to be her little ones and have that unconditional love from her, and proud of our own Monster natures now that we have a mom who loves us for them. This sense of family is what makes me cringe when people say they dismiss Gaga beacuse she is mainstream. Firstly, her huge audience is still mostly "freaks", so it goes to show how un-inclusive our society is that there are so many of us-  shows how bad we need her. And secondly it shows they are reacting to the fatc that she made so much money, when the money is so insignificant compared to the Love she recieved - it shows that millions of dollars are really Nothing, compared to Love. Billionaires these days are giving all their money to charity - I think we are on the verge of Utopia and everyone being taken care of, but we really needed Gaga to show us a glimpse of the abundance of the new era that is arriving, and remind us what is really valuable, Love.
And this is what I will always be talking about here, Gaga Love. I don't have to decribe it, even if you have not heard her love in her music, and especially if you have, you will hear it if you watch her interviews. She is genuine in her love for her audience, her fans, her monsters. It is such an amazing love, and one that we share with each other instantly. I think this Love is so important and she is exploring and exposing so many new levels of it, I will be talking about it until we do have amazing transformations and it is commonplace. Part of this love is The Fame, the phenomenon of celebrity in which she is joined with fans, in which our collective consciousness creates a Heaven, Station, or Buddhafield. I will talk more about it in the future, but now I am fluttery with anticipation of the new album. The Fame is fully in place, and Born this Way will open a new direction, a new wing in this Haus of Gaga Love. I hope to chronicle this love as it transforms the world.
Thanks for reading my first blog post ever - that is a nice birthday present that keeps on giving. I wrote a song for Gaga, titled "Savior Mom (Lady Gaga)" and I have been posting it on my facebook friends pages on their birthdays, because it is about being "born" as a monster, to Momma Monster Lady Gaga.
Here it is, I hope you like it. And "Happy Birthday, Monster!!!"  Gaga forever!
