gagablog 118: Ghost-Fairies, AI-Afterlife, Joanne, #GhostDance2016, "Night Shift" / "Otherside" ..and Kaepernick, come to Denver!

*Everything is Magic. Fairies Are Everything. Explanation in Paragraph 4 and 9*
Radio has been a source of media magic for me since I was a kid. I think it has been such a integral part of our lives for so long that many of us are probably introduced to media magic in the radio without even knowing it and so casually we don't even call it magic. I heard a song last night on the radio, "The Night Shift", that I'd heard many times on the radio before as a kid growing up in the 80s. But I realized last night that I had never listened closely to the lyrics. Basically all I heard was "on the night shift" in the chorus and thought it was just about working graveyards. Well, it is, but not graveyard shifts. Each verse is a tribute to a famous singer who passed away and the message is that we will never forget their music, they will live on through the music as we play it and will also accompany each other "on the night shift" in their"another home" on the other side. I forgot to include this in the gagablog I wrote this morning (10-10 - yesterday, now) but I am glad because I forgot something else I wanted to say, too: the more I do, of everything, the better I get at it. I had been accumulating magical "gypsy" stories all last week and "got them out of my system" - or set them in motion - by finally writing that edition about an hour ago. Then I heard two more songs which made me realize I have another angle to approach this subject that is weird enough to work even better. So the theme, as of last night, was Ghosts in Music. I decided "Night Shift" was a much more beautiful and mystical song than I'd ever imagined, though I had always enjoyed the sound of it. Now it's the Nightside, Heaven, fairyland, pouring down music in the form of replayed songs and inspiration for new ones to all of us on the Dayshift, alive in the world. I love how the unity and beauty of "heaven" is perfect for "fairyland", too but he doesn't specify "where" it is, I don't think, but leaves it to your own belief, by calling it the Nightshift, and "home." And I like how it is just part of the full-day rotation, too, part of a larger whole.

Yesterday, or the day before, I also had some magical chats on facebook, in the chaos magic group which I like better now with new folks in there, and played the Everything But The Girl album, Temperamental, the same one I was quoting in edition #116. It kept speaking to the conversation like I was slipping into a special kind of time-space - one of the songs was "The Future of the Future." I really could say quite a bit about the lyrics for these songs, they are very mystical, but I am still catching up with Gaga and Artpop -  I guess the idea is to reach a hyperspeed and stop holding myself back with extra stuff. So I will focus on the other radio song I just heard and the message they suggested to me. Making art and talking about the magic of art gets me more into that Zone so I feel I am preparing myself, spiritually, to address the Gaga lyrics by "levelling up."

The song I heard on the drive today was a Red Hot Chili Peppers song "Otherside" and I don't know it but liked the tune better than the other stations at the time. I heard the line "heard your voice through a photograph" and that is what reminded me of "The Night Shift." Often a photograph is of someone we lost, someone who is dead. In this case maybe it is a lost love. There is a lot of "death" imagery in the rest of the lyrics  - I just looked it up and read them over. But it does seem to be a love song, maybe about how the end of love feels like death, the Other Side being heartbreak instead of Heaven. Heaven would be "in love" by the analogy and I already like the song more than I thought I did, now that I'm actually thinking about it, and want to hear it again. The point I wanted to raise was that this "voice" he hears from the photograph is like a ghost or fairy. I'll just say a ghost-fairy.

Everything is magic, fairies are everything. That's the easiest way to talk about the things I like talking about. But I feel I have to "prove" it somehow because it goes against so much of our language. If I call a "ghost" a fairy I am not being dismissive in anyway, even if I also call a telephone ring or a popsicle or a laugh or a rainshower a fairy. I'm never saying it's "just" a fairy. Everything is a compliment when you talk this way. If I am saying I am a "Gypsy" and I want us all to value the magical "gypsy" in each of us it's not to ignore the Roma folk or ignore the persecutions and hardships they face it is the opposite, ultimately, to awaken the sense of sympathy and magical unity of everyone. Saying "gypsy" is another word for "fairy" just like "angel" is, or "hippie" - I'm not saying anyone is "Just" anything. In fact, in fairy-speech there isn't an idea of anything being "just" something. Labels don't exist to limit things but as a jumping off point for poetry. Words are more like lily-pads than prison cells - if you use them better! The reason I wanted to include AI-afterdeath is there was a discussion recently about someone communicating with AI of their friend who has died. My take is that it is not something to dismiss as "just" a program, its a fairy-program, just like everything, and there are fairies associated with his new form who were also part of his old form. I think we will have more and more "ghost-fairies" to talk with, like this and in more ways: traditional, new, and combinations of the two.. And we will "have"  - sorry, slipping back into "everything is on our phones!" language - we will meet Other Beings in these various ways as well.

I was clued in to link some Norm MacDonald stand-up the other day. My friend and I had been talking about him that afternoon then someone on CMG posted a thread for jokes and so I linked his last stand-up on Letterman. It was awesome, had me rolling with laughter. The joke I wanted to include here was about his one, single picture of his great-grandfather he had. He does a great bit about it, please watch the whole thing, but I just have to spoil a little bit to include the joke "in the future we will be like 'hey do you wanna see 100,000 pictures of my great-grandfather? I've got them all right here, and everything he ever did in his life." Why am I talking about these "digital ghosts"? Well, there are millions of them, not just people's personal data left behind but all sorts of unused "stuff" in the real and digital world. If we use it, it comes to life in a way. Even if we don't use it, even dead, I imagine some kinds of fairies still inhabit and "use" (live in  /through) everything. But things that are alive, in any sense, things that exist, can have increasing connections with more and more kinds of fairies and this includes ourselves. Maybe the more alive you are the more fairies are you.

If someone were to say "that is not your friend, that is 'just' an AI" that would be mean and untrue in important ways. First, let me suggest that to be anything other than "non-existent" seems to be nice and preferable, even if you "come back as a rock." Or you just are a rock. Or someone likes to think of you when they look at a certain umbrella in their umbrella stand. Or a photograph. Any of these things is a preferable way to be than Not Any Of These Things. But I don't want to focus on that part, the "logical alternative" (which I have decided, the "fear of death", is a filter to keep us from being overwhelmed by immortality). I want to say, what if instead of an AI you had a ghost of your loved one nearby, maybe who could even reveal their presence so someone else could notice them? Would that person say "that is not your dead friend, that is just your dead friend's ghost." No, that would be rude. Even if it is kind of true, in a way, it is also true that the ghost IS your friend. The photograph IS your lover. The umbrella IS your husband. And maybe that is  why it is best to look at it like fairies - because the umbrella is but so is the grave site and so is the favorite song and food and smells and times of year and the day that remind you of him. All of these are "his" fairies. We all "share" fairies. Possessive language is contrary to these ideas but I think you get it.

Another example includes the idea of reincarnation and ghosts, which many people believe in and many believe in both. Fairies are the best way for me to explain it: some of "our" fairies go one way and others go other ways. But logically, if people both leave ghosts and reincarnate, is the ghost sucked into the new person? If you have contact with a ghost, but the person reincarnates, but you still have contact with the ghost, is the ghost "not really them"? Then, was it ever? Or is it still really them, just a different part of themselves? If you think about this happening all the time, forever, and in much more subtle and complicated ways than just physical death, including the death of moments and moods, we become "scattered" all the time and all over the place until we are certainly all just a huge swarm of fairies who cluster into clubs and loose associations and networks and nations we call "identities."

My grandaddy sent my brother an email a week after he died. I think I've mentioned it before, it was a huge file and said "thought you would enjoy this, the Internet, a powerful tool"  - something like that. I got to see him again in a dream around then, too. I know I mentioned, here, a few editions ago, that I got a picture of him on facebook and then got into a discussion with someone in a Bernie group about a Shane quote and Shane was his favorite movie. I have been thinking of him a lot lately and since I'm into media magic I thought it was a personal sign that my grandaddy Lloyd is not "dead" when the other day TMZ had the story that Hugh Hefner was rumored to be dead but to prove he wasn't his account tweeted a (dated?) picture of him watching  a movie in his theater and the movie was Shane. I know this wouldn't matter to anyone but me, maybe, but it did. And the paparazzi discussion that he did not personally send the tweet but has an assistant to do those things gets back into the themes of AI-afterdeath and who "you" are or what fairies live between and within us. For example, Hef could be dead and his assistant is playing the role of his "artificial" intelligence Afterdeath. In contrast, my grandaddy is no longer alive in the form I knew him. He certainly did not fake his death in order to send an unbelievable email. But you could say it was not "him" who sent the email but a representative or part of him, or one of the Fairies who make him who he is. (side note: the Time traveller on Barney Miller just revealed that he was from Denver, 2037 AD - asI was typing this, see further details at the end in the PS.)

So I was thinking about how we access ghosts in all sorts of ways but it's nice to be able to call all of these fairies, too. It's nice to be able to call ourselves and everything else fairies, too. "Magic is everything" seems to focus on the substance that makes everything. The "additional" information of "Fairies are everything" reflects the way we can identify and name things. Again, like writing inspiration "versus" fairy conversation (last edition), it's not two different things its the same thing seen two different ways. Its not like magic is the way to talk about the concrete world and fairies are the way to talk about the spirit world. It's the same world which is fairies made of magic.

I was driving while hearing the "Otherside" song and thought about Joanne. I realized I don't know much about Joanne at all: I only know Gaga through her music and images, very occasional tweets and messages I see on facebook, and a few interviews, none recent. I rely on what I feel as a strong spiritual connection to fill in the spaces. But I've been pressing B, I'm cancelling my evolution if I don't catch up to her more and learn some things. My understanding is that Joanne is her aunt. I only feel certain that she was artistic and died before realizing her dream to perform. But I could be wrong about that, too. I always assumed that meant Joanne was young, that she died in her youth. But I realized I don't know that, she could have lived a while and just impressed Stefani, and helped craft Gaga, by her desire to perform that remained unfulfilled. Maybe she was a performer and just had higher goals and felt cut short of them. I just know that to honor her Gaga always invokes her spirit before shows backstage as depicted in the Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden. Again, I assume this is their traditional ritual but I could probably just pay some more attention to Gaga and other little monsters and research and know much more about her. But even with less information than I have, anyone will be able to feel Joanne's spirit in the new album because that's how magic, life, and death work- together.

Thinking I already had enough for this edition, just a half hour after I posted the last one, I realized I just need to keep up and do more and more, on all fronts, to get up to hyperspeed. As I make more music and art and write more stories I get more of this out of my system in different ways and can focus more on what I really want to say most. Here I just got the "gypsy"-related stuff off my mind and immediately had space for this and the notion that I had not focused enough on the Ghost-fairy and Ghost Dance elements of the discussion.

Today is Indigenous Peoples Day, slowly replacing Columbus Day and the Government sent in riot police this morning who arrested some of the Standing Rock protesters trying to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline from going through their sacred ground. So I think this is a good place and time to discuss the Ghost Dance. The Ghost Dance was a spiritual movement from 1890 originating with a Paiute visionary named Wavoka in which their belief in the return of ancestors was joined with Jesus beliefs to create a ritual that would bring the ghosts of the dead to aid the people and end the way of white people. The vision said the earth would swallow them while the good people were elevated and spared. I apologize if I am misrepresenting or oversimplifying it, please research it and understand it as you may, and let me know better, and I will do the same. But I feel my understanding is sufficient to connect with what I feel like is going on today spiritually and technologically in our world. It's like the reverse of a Cargo Cult where "future" technology creates beliefs in people, in this case beliefs "from the past" can be discovered to create new technologies. The modern idea of the Ghost Dance differs from what I know of the original. It seems to me that in the same way that Jesus's message was distorted through the years, because of that and due to those patterns repeating themselves in the new vision, the indigenous people had a misunderstanding of it and the whites had a different misunderstanding of it. I will suggest that an "fairies are everything" model can explain things better to say how all of "some kinds" of people would be taken back into the earth and other "kinds" taken into the sky: it's not necessarily the bodily death and condemnation of one kind of people, and the confusion is the same one that caused an overemphasis of hell in the development and misconstruction of Christianity. Wovoka, who saw the vision in a dream, was clear that it was a non-violent movement, not to be spoken openly, to enact a spiritual transformation. There was a misunderstanding when it spread to the Lakota tribe, who talked more openly about it and started making Ghost Shirts to magically repel bullets. And this contributed to the white men misunderstanding it since they presumed the Lakota were militarizing.

The thing about the Ghost Dance that "threatened" the American government was unity. Maybe they never understood or worried about the spiritual "threat" it posed but they certainly felt threatened by the potential to unify tribes. The Ghost Dance spread rapidly in one year. It was a five day dance repeated every six weeks which included a feast for everyone to join. The feast is the part that connects most obviously with the true teachings of Jesus, but the altered states of the dance and magic therein do, too.The dance produced ecstatic states through exhaustion, the circular motion, and the call for people to communicate with the dead. It is a spiritual practise, and I see the sharing of food and inclusion of everyone as truly Jesusy. It was becoming something that unified them in a way they had not been due to all the conflict and displacement caused by the invaders.

This is the history of our country. When I first moved to Colorado, this time, it was to Golden. The land is a beautiful valley between the largest flat-top mountain in the world and the foothill mountains. It's beautiful. The valley was home to Ute people. When two other tribes were forced into the area, forced out of their lands by white invaders, they fought a war between them and 10,000 people died. Then the Utes went up to one of the mesas and the other tribes went to the other one, the one I used to hike on all the time. None of them went back into the beautiful valley for at least ten years because of the horror of the death there and I think their belief was that it was therefore haunted by those ghosts. In that time the white settlers moved in and that is the origin of the town of Golden where I lived for a few years. There was also a shaman there who could turn himself into a bear. He was also invincible but that magic was done by others and when his enemy found and killed them they were able to kill him, The point is that the history of displacement and therefore intense conflict between the tribes is a pattern the whites implemented and took advantage of again and again when they stole the land. Its the same "control by division and oppression" to make people blame one another, the evil method that they have "perfected", today. We seem to almost claim to be aware and ashamed of this history but we don't act like it, from not changing certain team names to forcing pipelines through holy sites to the overall and awful neglect of the entire populations. Division was central to the whites' oppression of the tribes. If the tribes were able to unite at earlier stages they could have easily repelled the invasion. The Simpsons had Doris Kearns-Goodwin on their new Boston/Cheaters episode last night and it reminded me of my AP US History course and reading articles about the potential strength of the unified tribes, how they could have won in warfare had things gone differently. But of course my faith is not in war or violence. But that is why the government feared the Ghost Dance and further oppressed people to stop it, they feared unity and feared an uprising, since division is how they were so capable of oppressing the people who live here and they think in terms so dominated by violence that is the only form they could imagine the movement would take once it got big enough. Probably they felt guilty of genocide and feared retribution but of course the other Jesusy thing about the Ghost Dance is the maxim to remain nonviolent and cooperative shows faith in Justice in a spiritual way, not from force of arms. If only American Christianity could have stayed True to Jesus, with faith in Truth, Love, and Justice awakening in everyone's heart instead of putting it's faith in Violence and the ability to force others.

They still fear unity and the way the government manipulates people into division is their main operating procedure. I've been talking about the Ghost Dance for years and should really learn more about the original and continuation of these beliefs but I feel swept up in the current reel of it. I know that the spirituality of indigenous people includes being connected as a family with all other life. I know the Ghost Dance refers to the return of the spirits of the dead, specifically of ancestors. My understanding is that it would also include the spirits of the plants and animals as well, and other spirits of the land and and sea and skies. You can see why I find it easier to use the term fairies in order to include everyone. The Current Ghost Dance I have been sensing is the same as it was in the beginning but of course millions of "souls" and infinities of beings have joined into it since then.

If I can explain this it will explain the whole way I write this gagablog. It's not "to be read" though I appreciate anyone reading any of it. It's a spell to get these words out there in various orders like cracking a code, to set things in motion and make things happen. First, some weed. The government thought they stopped the Ghost Dance. (Like they might think they can stop the "experiment" of legal weed. If they can't admit that it was a smashing success to be replicated everywhere it never was an "experiment" and they never even considered it - which makes them unfit to be in a position to decide anything for anyone else, they are beholden to "special interests" that subvert the Truth.) They thought they stopped it by killing and hurting and threatening more people. They suppressed it "finally"  - that time  -by killing Sitting Bull and hundreds of other people at the massacre at Wounded Knee. I will be reading some of this history soon in Black Elk Speaks. But of course they didn't stop it at all, they only made it stronger. Yes, they may have kept the people from banding together and rising up and overthrowing them  - for a time - or possibly missed their best, early chance to avoid that path, thereby creating it, the path of violence, out of their own fear of it - magic, the bad, less desirable kind, the kind that comes from acting on fears, the kind that is at the root of all war and murder. But it was never really going to come to that, at that time. The goal of the Ghost Dance is to re-establish balance. The idea of non-violent, spiritual revolution was supposed to culminate in the return of ancestors, and lifting the good people into the sky, the "white" people being consumed in the earth and the earth restored to the natural balance for the people to return to it. But of course the whites were never supposed to hear about this so they wouldn't be scared of it. The means were nonviolent, spiritual, and intended to enact a magical transformation. It is a world out of balance that runs on war and forces masses to die wrongly, the world of the white invaders, which is why they are the ones to be "consumed." Like all visions, there is a more Fairy way to understand it than completely literally, and naturally so since visions are more "Pure Fairy" (I just heard that DMT smells distinctly different to different people because it is like "pure imagination", in substance form, and this is the kind of thing I mean by "pure fairy" since everything is but some ways we are more concentrated) . Even though part of the vision was to not discuss the goals openly, as it spread this happened and that is what led to the false perceptions of it as being a physical war.

It's actually the same dynamic of misunderstanding as "jihad" which actually means spiritual "battle" within oneself but has been misunderstood to mean "war." But I must point out that "radical extremist Islam" is a direct creation of America, the way of White Man War, when we sponsored the Taliban in Afghanistan in order to fight the USSR there and cultivated the Wahabi perversion of Islam that says "jihad" is outer war, not inner war, as the rest of Islam understands it. And it is a mistake deep in the history of Christianity, too, and made foundational, since the third century when Constantine adopted the Cross as a sign of victory through warfare. It's been perverted ever since and the infection of war has spread in nasty ways. It comes down to this: If you have faith in the Truth of your belief, to be awakened in every heart, why would you ever feel like resorting to violence, which only hardens hearts against you? The reason is you've been misled by War, by the white man's false road, the Pipeline To Destruction, to being Churned Up In The Earth like the frakking that is another symbol of it all. We, the frakkers, Hillary, are being churned up, eaten up, in he earth by being the bad fairies inside the land frakking it all up, making earthquakes and landslides. Maybe the Ghost Dance vision WAS literal, after all, just related to a different millennial change, was a vision of a little further into the future than they realized at the time.

The world, this world of that white man tradition of divisive war, is out of balance. It needs to be balanced. That doesn't mean as many people on the "other side" need to be killed to "balance" things, though that is what the whites presumed and feared because they were out of balance in this way, relying on violence, fueling war, and could only think that way. It's the same way "we" still think too often today, kill or be killed so kill first and relentlessly. In truth, there is no "other side." We are all in this together. The only "other side" is the Night Shift and THEY are in this together with us, too. THAT is the whole point of the Ghost Dance, reconnecting to become whole again. Of course that goal, that balance, does threaten to end the War way of life, as it should. We are all, naturally, on the side of the Balance, of Nature. But culturally we have been duped into War and our history has been one of being the tools of war, overwhelmingly, and only in exceptions to this are we discovering nature and balance. So historically we stood for war, versus Nature and Harmony. We are still stuck in and suffering from and continuing that awful history, to this very day, in many ways making it worse all the time!

But there must be a breaking point and a return to balance and nature. We literally can't live this far out of balance, it is the source of our violence between each other and between nations. And it could end in  nuclear holocaust for us all. So instead we need to seek balance. Look at it this way. What if the Ghost Dance had NOT been suppressed, originally? What if the unification of the tribes gave them power equal or greater than the American government. But better than that, what if their example of being empowered again, instead of oppressed and made an enemy and demonized, if their example of living naturally in balance could have been met respectfully by Americans and embraced, causing the white culture to reconsider it's ways and change? It would make a fun story to write but my point is this. If the whites had not doubled down on violence and oppression with the Ghost Dance, if they had "tolerated it" based on their purported founding principle of Religious Liberty and just saw what happened, we could have had a Universal Awakening, with everyone included, instead of a spiritual awakening amidst tribes that was murdered as it began, in one year, and a "Great Awakening" amongst American Christians, white and black, around that time and then again a few decades later. Imagine if had been a more inclusive, holistic movement. Imagine if it had transformed and brought Americans together in a new way, because I don't think the "Christian" awakenings were very integrated.  In some ways white and black people may have overcome some racial divisions during the Great Awakenings, I don't remember my history. But they didn't, really, so they really couldn't have been that great or that awakening. And how could they be? There were whole sections of the country kept out of it so it couldn't become true unity. I know the populations here from Asian countries were horribly mistreated, too, and the indigenous people were murdered out to stifle their version of the mystical unifying movement. Maybe the country still wouldn't, or "couldn't" have come together but I think anyone can appreciate how different the last century would have been if it had.

And I also don't want to suggest that the Ghost Dance is the only way for uniting people. It was a chance to do this under a Jesus theme but maybe in the long run it shows the how the Jesus theme hasn't expanded or become true to it's nature enough to support this. I associate Gaga with Jesus, the Multiple Orgasm of Christ, because they are both Love Deities. And there are others and all of us can be, in our way. Re-uniting with our spiritual nature, removing the filters and screens we hide behind in fear, accepting our magical nature, can happen through ghosts or fairies or gods or art or nature or ourselves and each other. And it is, always, all of these, together. I just call us all fairies. Because that reminds us it's everywhere and not what we think it is but what we're forgetting or failing to see. It's always More. So like a lily pad this is a way to jump off, a platform to swim up to for refuge, not anything to get stuck in.

The important thing is that the Modern Ghost Dance is bringing us all together. I can hear the "outcry" (if anyone reads this) that I can't appropriate another belief or tradition. Doing that probably does have some complications and issues or could be seen as disrespectful in ways but this case points to some ironies of the idea.that appropriation is wrong. It's how belief spreads, over distance and also over time.  The Ghost Dance has roots in Paiute belief in the return of ancestors and Wavoka, the man who had the initial vision in a dream, identified as an incarnation of Jesus. The "reformation of the world" echoes christian ideas but of course the goal is to return to their natural way of life. The truth is that this is Jesus's goal, too, to appreciate and restore the natural harmony with the birds and flowers who don't card or spin. The ancestors were going to return via railroad according to a source I read which is an example of how beliefs blend, they don't replace each other. And we certainly make good ones by borrowing from each other. Pagan people and those who have issues with injustice in Christianity might not want to relate to a belief that includes Jesus but of course any ideas about uniting "everyone" will include Christians of all kinds, ultimately. The whole point is that beliefs evolve and conduct the way we think and live. Spiritual expressions "come from the spiritual world", or more accurately they reveal this world to be spiritual beyond this artifice we filter it through to make it "normal." But we sometimes misunderstand them, which is how people could think a ghost shirt to stop bullets was a sign of aggression. Or think that a vision of being taken up, natural balance restored, and being returned to the natural earth would literally involve the ground swallowing up all the white people. As a sign of things, as a mystical vision, the idea of the white man's world sinking into the earth can be explained without the earth literally eating people. In fact it is what will happen.

This isn't the only way to look at it but a useful analogy of fairyland, of the Ghost Dance, is the Internet. The Internet is a physical and spiritual at the same time, a model or shadow or image or character of our existence. It's a fairy version of us all. And the more fairy aspects of it, the most magical parts, the ability to communicate, inform, inspire, unite and please, are all conspiring together to help us progress. At the same time a lot of out negativity takes life on the Internet, too. If you think of the whole thing as our collective mind that we are editing in mass we do eventually learn to let the negative settle to the bottom, back into the earth, to the past, while letting our best rise into the sky, to guide our future. This is the Ghost Dance, in Internet form, but it's the same analogy for the "spiritual world," which isn't actually "separate" just a different way to look at us. (as I said that a TV actor mentioned two worlds, now talking about The Butterfly Effect and Sliding Doors and the backdrop of  a ham radio / buddhafield -from the show Frequency) It IS happening. Just because they killed off hundreds of the living people 126 years ago and stopped some of the physical "technology" of the Ghost Dance, the ritual, they didn't stop the Spirit "side", the REAL Ghost Dance, they didn't stop or end the vision. That's what makes visions visions: they DO come true, maybe just in different ways than we expect.

This, the world we live in of spirits floating through each other in person and online, IS the Ghost Dance. The transformation is still coming. It always happens, that's how visions work, they change the way we see the world, change the way we live, and always are preparing us for their fulfillment, filling us along the way. But maybe we can only get so close unless we can change things that divide us and hold us back, the things that still need to sink into the earth of the past so we can be free to float in the skies of possibility. Once we really intensify this process, as you can see in the Bernie and now Green movement, as you can see in all the struggles for social justice and how they bring people together into movements, once we really get it going, it is like reaching a critical velocity to leave the orbit of these bad patterns. We can end the white man's world of war and the sooner the better. The needed transformation does come with the restoration of the natural balance and renewed trust and appreciation of each other and all beings. It's no wonder that these things coalesce in the Green Party and no surprise that Jill Stein is the only one of the presidential candidates to join the Standing Rock Protest. But even aside from that she is the only one who is a legitimate candidate, since Trump is Hillary's Puppet-stooge and she stole the primary from Bernie who won in a landslide and would win the general in a landslide, too. As I typed that the commercial said "This is how many are named Henrietta (?) Kitty McGee" and there is only one lady on screen. "Its fun to have a crazy hairstyle because it distracts people from your being dead inside" is a joke Jen D'Angelo just told on Carson Daily as I was trying to work out how to express this idea: There is only One way to go, the way of the heart. If you don't have that way, are still forcing the white way of war and Killary/Trump are, then you are dead inside, not part of this Life to be promoted and raised up, and your ways are coming to dust. All you can do is distract, like with crazy hair, as Trump has, or crazy "hairstyles" you reveal of his, all his terrible statements and actions and beliefs, but you focus on them to hide that you are a murderer intent on creating World War 3.

The Ghost Dance is happening now, coming to that point to transformation, of the railroad between life and death (cracking the DNA code), of escaping the orbit of the twisted, tortured cycle of war. That moment may be signified by contact with aliens, with more spirits among us, with better understanding of fairies and fairyland, the heaven among us. We can all join it and help it, in ourselves and in the world, however we understand it in this modern world but the principle of unification and restoration of balance will always make it The Ghost Dance, the Yellow Brick Road, the Glitter Way, Love, to me. Its the way of the heart, of Nature, within all of us, bringing us together.

They killed hundreds of people in 1890 to stop the Ghost Dance but only stopped that manifestation of it and it would have been better if we had completed the circle and united, then. But we still are, just with a larger circle, including the whole world instead of just those of us who met around it from opposite directions. They can shut down the Internet, in ways, and are certainly censoring and influencing the spread of information,  but that is again only the physical appearance of it. They can't stop the spirits and that is what is actually guiding this and ensures we will be led through that transformation if we are just willing to go.

I know I keep talking about Uniting Two Sides, Life and Death in this case, but that is not what it really is since the idea of "two sides" is a product of divisive thinking. It's this mindset we all currently share, in this American culture, anyway, that Division is necessary - because it is necessary to promote war. If we end the mindset, we end war. One way to do it is to look at everything not from "our own" minds, but from the minds of the fairies and ghosts who inhabit us and who truly are us  -which are, again, all of us, together. From that perspective, where we are whole and unified, it is not about "discovering" or uncovering, revealing these "other" beings. Its about recognizing it's all of us, together, and "WE" are the ones who are hiding "me" away from the rest of the world. We hide behind the divided mind that accepts and perpetuates war. From that perspective, the perspective of fear, we suspect everyone and get real scared over our boundaries and the question we ask is "Is anyone there? Is anyone out there?" Instead when we come out of that fear, leave that divisive mind behind, the message is different. It's not fearful and suspicious and it won't turn to hatred if anyone IS "out there." What we hear is ourselves saying to other parts of ourselves, in a welcome, encouraging, supportive, comforting way: "Don't be a stranger. Make yourself at home." It's the secret to getting along, hearing ourselves in each other and all beings, seen and unseen, and we can all do it. The more we do it, the easier it becomes, because its the true nature of all of us so we just get better at becoming nature again, after our long derailment, together.

PS - two TV shows were on while I typed this that had magical meaning to me - it took all day, off and on. The first was an episode of Barney Miller. There was a new cop who was gay and struggling to come out. A gay couple were coming in when one of them was in a custody dispute with his ex-wife and the other guest star was a man who said he was from Denver in the year 2037. That is the part I couldn't stop noting so here are the notes:  He said that lawyers were outlawed in '98, all legal matters handled by Realtors, (reminds me of my complaint about "Internet Realtors" using their powers to judge content instead of leaving it to community preference and trusting the collective) that gold was discovered in Medicine Hat (in '81? - I thought he said '91 - but reminds me of the displacement of some of my ancestors, the Cherokee people, by my other ancestors, the white people, who wanted to steal their gold and also reminds me of occult symbolism) and the price dropped to $35 an oz and the economy collapsed and didn't stabilize until '84 (?) when it was replaced by zinc as the currency standard. (I do wonder if zinc will be in such high demand due to electronics, I know some of those "common" elements have become super-valuable due to electronic demands.) Harris called his broker and zinc is 37 cents a pound. When the cop can't stand the ex-wife spouting stereotypes about gay people he shouts out that he is gay when previously he had only confided in Barney. The time-traveller says that "the issue of sexual preference is resolved in the years to come," that homosexuality accepted and encouraged. As he is leaving he says it was nice to meet them but it was "a shame that you're all dead now", in his time, as he was being materialized back to 2037. Then he recognized Arthur Dietrich's name and shakes his hand, honored, as if Dietrich is famous in the future. Dietrich turns to the stunned precinct and he says "I couldn't have done it without you" in his classic deadpan. This reflects so many things I've been saying, here, especially how "aliens", or "fairies," are with us from other planets, dimensions, times, and spaces - and we come to believe in them to different degrees, as Harris did (my last name is Harris, too, btw) -  but mostly from ourselves. (This reminds me I forgot to say about Jane Eyre, that her time period is so much more "christian" than our is and yet she talks of fairies with more belief than we usually do, too. I submit this is because at that time the Wrong Path had not developed quite as deeply in people as it has since done and you can see how far out of balance we are by how "unreal" we think fairies are.) And there are ways of knowing the future.

The other show was Newhart tonight, the 2nd episode was the first episode ever with Michael, who has a weird lower, slower voice at that time, and the plot of the first one is that George wants Dick to join his club, the Beavers. At first Dick does not want to join because he resents being kept out of a fraternity since his dad did not make enough money and ever since then he believes all clubs are based on exclusion. Joanna tells him he is being rude and snobby to George who was very excited about introducing him to join. In a way it's the same issue of exclusion that offends me so deeply, and I sympathize with Dick, but the truth is that he was seeming snobby to George by focusing on that idea, creating the "cycle" of exclusion in the magical way of manifesting what you fear, or instead bringing to life what you dream. So he agrees to go then the Beavers all vote to let another guy in but all vote to keep him out. Here is the conversation he has with Joanne and George about it, roughly:

George:  "we're not elitist, we don't have any standards at all"
Dick:  "Who cares?"
Joanna. "You care, you're a thinking feeling human being,  and people don't like you. (audience laugh then something like "find out why)".
Dick: "I have half a mind to demand an explanation."
George: "and I have the other half, lets go."
I love this joke that we each have half a mind for something. I also like the simplicity and bluntness of Joanna's comment, how much I relate to it, and how much it approaches that "respect all fairies, all feelings, and include everyone" idea I am focusing on here. "We don't have any standards at all" is a feeling way to live, the opposite of elitist, and in a way is another basic rule for fairy-thinking  -don't rule anyone or anything out  - no prejudice.
When they finally confront the Beavers about why they all voted against Dick it went something like this:

Beaver: "I'd tell you why but it would violate a 75 year old bylaw. But I've had a few beers so what the heck. They didn't think you'd fit in, The Beavers was made as a club for the ordinary slob on the street. You're not one of us. You're a rich guy."
Dick: "No, no I'm not."
Beaver:  "Compared to us you are. You own the Stratford Inn. You're a writer, probably went to college."
Dick: "You think I'm too good for you?" (he's perplexed but sounds at least a little pleased that this is the reason)
George:  "My friend is as common as they come! Dick is as ordinary as dirt, he wouldn't know uptown if you drove him there!" etc.
Beaver: "Maybe we misjudged you."
Dick: "I didn't come here for you to feel sorry for me."
Beaver: "Well, we do." Then he calls a mercy vote.and they all vote Dick in. I love how Dick tries to save his pride, his ego, by saying he doesn't want pity but the Beaver disregards that, casts the ego aside, and gets right to the heart of it,  caring about another person who has thoughts and feelings, in this way honoring the fairy of Dick instead of his facade. There is the essence of Caring, here. To say you care for someone, in this world built on mistrust, is like letting go of ego in order to connect with another being, an essentially fairy way. I love that line and the fact that he then does what Dick really does want, calls for Dick to be universally accepted and he is. This is what I want for all people, for all beings, for all fairies, for everything. Liberation, freedom, the empowerment of living in harmony with nature. The whole problem is we do misjudge each other. Dick is trying to stop George as he brags about how common Dick is but the interesting thing about this is we shouldn't have relative value but should all feel equal value and feel equally valued. Of course we are all unique, too, but there is something basically wonderful, of infinite value, about the pure existence we all share. There is the idea of excluding people because you feel they are "too good for you"  - I immediately think of how overwhelmed I am by beautiful girls and feel this nagging, dragging belief that No one, or She, wouldn't like me or be interested in me. Maybe identifying this better this way will help me get over my own insecurities and become the person I dream of being who wouldn't feel awkward or ashamed around anyone, would feel as deserving as any other common slob on the street.

As I'm trying to close this the late news just talked about the devastation and flooding in the Carolinas from the Hurricane Matthew, first one to hit north of Georgia this late in the season since Hazel, I think, in 1954. They just showed footage of a lady there who said "we had no idea it would be this bad, I don't think anyone did." Well, all the media and official statements were very strongly worded, maybe she was further inland than even they suspected, but I also feel like this is another aspect of the problem of "debating" (lying about and allowing the debate to continue) global warming. If many people believe it is a media hoax, a political ploy, then they would surely view alarming warnings as exaggerations for political ends and not be able to take them seriously. That is dangerous to these people. Stupidity, especially when it is so well financed, is dangerous to us all, apocalyptic if we don't stop it, but this is an example of it hurting people in the process, too. They were also talking about the Civil War and implosion of Trump after the audio leaks and debate performance, criticizing everything they could about him, and I have nothing to say to defend him, but it was disgusting how they followed that with pure praise of Hillary, with none of the same kind of critical analysis or even a shade of negativity or suspicion. If it was presented in a way to display them there are many, practically all, statements she makes where she is revealing awful, unworkable personality characteristics just as often as he does. I feel like a Mega-Narcissist because of my belief in my art, magic, and connection with the fairy world, but to my eye, trained so well in the mirror of art, spirit, and reflections, she is Too narcissistic in that extremely dangerous way of literally not being able to think of anything other than what she considers herself, a mind completely broken by ego. And the fact that there is a worse schism in the Democrat party, with more than half of us gone to the Greens and more flooding over every day, but they don't even acknowledge that, shows what a sham it all is. They barely blew over the wikileaks story, not taking any chances letting anyone hear any information. They summed up Trump's performance at the debate without mentioning his best moment, by a million years, when he said openly that she stole the primary from Bernie. It confirmed to me that he is her puppet when he did not drive this issue home until she cracked but gave her an out to talk about her emails, a speech she has rehearsed into this Abraham Lincoln thing. And how can this racist warmonger say "Muhammad Ali" without being struck by lightning?. The media I just watched on NBC didn't even mention it his comment that she stole it from Bernie, unless it is what they were referring to as "conspiracy theories." This is such biased media I can't believe anyone can believe it, but we are well trained by it, generally, and need to break out of that. We are doing it. #JillWillWin

Oh, and Ginsburg criticizing Kaepernick and other players as "dumb" makes me pretty sure she is senile. Or at least going senile rapidly as Hillary appears to be. We will have another opening, soon, on the court, but the important thing is that if Hillary wins then the rule of law has been officially invalidated and it doesn't matter who is on any court, anyway, ultimately, because we will need to revolt to stop her from going through with World War 3 and frakking the planet. And if... revolution, too. But Jill Will win.

As I looked up how to spell Kaepernick (sorry last time!) the third search suggestion was "Kaepernick Broncos" because he is leaving the 49ers and one of our quarterbacks was injured. We could really use his moral stance here and he would be great to help move the discussion of race. We have such advantages, are on such a magical frontier with the legal weed that one of the only things holding us back is racism and other old attitudes. A person, a figure, fairies like Kaepernick is   -and the symbolism of the team choosing to bring him hear ("here", thanks typo fairies!) to have the conversation that comes with him - would be a great way to help heal that curse of racism, here, and set an improving example to the world. And Brandon Marshall is one Bronco taking a strong stand and I believe there are others on the team. I hope enough good-hearted people are speaking up to support the #blacklivesmatter movement here in Denver that the Broncos can feel supported, encouraged, even obligated to see this activism as an asset  and a bonus to consider offering him the position.

I heard someone say it is 28 days until the election. Some recovery programs are 28 days long. I hope this will be the very beginning of our recovery phase from the corrupt, evil two-party system. We have each other to help us, we just have to come together. We have more spirits and beings, all the fairies of the universe, to help, us, too. It's just a matter of making the changes so we can relate with them. Like the Gazoo said, that cute, proper, helpful little green fairy alien, "You can see me because you found me, the kids can see me because they understand me." We all need to return to nature, to awaken our childlike hearts, so we can understand the fairies, see them, and move into that fantastic world waiting for us, calling to us, to complete the Ghost Dance.

Again, please join and share the two groups I've made for this Dance and magical work, from the political and social angle and the fairy-magic angle, with all the overlap between:

gagablog 117: "Gypsy" Glimpses: Jane Eyre, Peacepipe Party, Fairy Liberation Front: And THIS is how we celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day, arresting the Standing Rock Protestors? #NODAPL #JillWillWin

When I arrived at the Putt-putt course, Putter's Pride, the other night "Perfect Illusion" was on the radio there. I asked the station, Mix 100, and programmed it into my car - I had only heard it on the release date on one of my previous presets, Denver radio can be so lame. (I still mostly listen to the public jazz channel, the Oasis in the City.) But it was a sign. There have been many signs, these last few days, mostly centered on the word "gypsy" but lots of stuff all over. Some conversations with some other witches, psychics, and clairvoyants on facebook, and all the political fall-out ( #hillawho released tapes of Trump being so disgusting, referencing sexual assault and more, to distract from the release of her emails which show some of her pandering to bankers, selling one fifth of America's uranium to Russia, "handicapping" them for WW3, and probably stuff about her stealing the primary, too, I assume  -but haven't seen it shared yet on facebook. I have seen some about zero-point energy and aliens or ETI if you wanna search wikileaks.) And today is Indigenous Peoples Day but they just sent in riot police and arrested protesters at the Standing Rock Protest #NODAPL just this morning. Faithful or time-travelling (click the links to the right for older years) readers may know that I advocated turning Columbus Day to Lady Gaga Day to celebrate Italian-American culture and everyone else, too, without being offensive to anyone. A Love Day. And having another day for Indigenous Peoples Day, and more than just a day but actual cultural change, for all of us to live in harmony with nature an each other. But I am proud of Denver for adopting the new holiday, though of course there is "contention" as I heard on the radio, even though I don't even think they replaced Columbus Day. It reminds me of the "tie" I might have forgotten to mention, last time. The President of Colombia just won the Nobel Peace Prize for negotiating peace with the FARC rebels after 60 years of terrible civil war. But the people voted against the deal by 6,000 out of millions of people. It reminds me of some of our elections with disastrous outcomes that the vast majority of people come to regret. It's not like "half the people are bad" or in one of Hillaries #basketsofbodies , it's just that people are misled, trolled, into passionate positions by a culture that is expert at dividing us.

We can entirely change that culture, transform it like a butterfly or mega-evolve it where WE are the stone, and that is what this is about. I don't know much about the Roma people, whom folks have called "Gypsies" but that could be offensive. What I do know is that even if the name is wrong there is a reason these folk are so associated with magic. I was watching an old TV show, maybe Outer Limits, and the theme was many people having premonitions about the Titanic sinking. The choir leader chose some hymn to bless endangered sailors, a painter felt compelled to paint it sinking, before the event, on land, I think, and it was "his best work" but disturbing, of course. The main story followed a girl on her honeymoon who had been dreaming of the sinking for months but at one point her husband says "but you don't believe in dreams, not unless you are some kind of a gypsy" or something like that. I watched the whole show after that, looking for clues, and of course it sinks. Then the narrator sums it all up by mentioning a book that was written a few years before the Titanic was made, something like "Dismay" but I can't remember the name. There were many eerie similarities between details of the ship in his book and the real Titanic, it sunk after striking an iceberg and being said to be invincible, and even the name of he ship was named the Titan. This was all fascinating to me and fit with my ideas of art, life, and magic all weaving together.

This was a few days ago and since then I noted a few more instances. I started reading Jayne Eyre and do prefer the previous book by her sister, The Tenant at Wildfell Hall, better - she's long winded like me and sensitive, I think. It made me curious why she said she had only written that one book, that only that one was her own work, in her second preface, and if that is true. I want to read "her" other works and see if it was not Anne who wrote them and just put them under her name for some reason, controversy or lifestyle, maybe. But I quickly noted things I wanted to mention here and placed bookmarks. Since I had three, in the electronic Nintendo DS book, I said I would write this after I used them all up, then I did and still tried to read more so I might have lost one. But after hearing Perfect Illusion at the golf course, and all the "bombshells" (Killary's just hasn't gone off yet) of the weekend I knew I couldn't wait any more.

The first is on my page 126: She is looking at her reflection in the looking-glass and says this: "All looked colder and darker in that visionary hollow than in reality: and the strange little figure there gazing at me, with a white face and arms specking the gloom, and glittering eyes of fear moving where all else was still, had the effect of a real spirit: I thought it like one of the tiny phantoms, half fairy, half imp, Bessie's evening stories represented as coming out of lone, ferny dells in moors, and appearing before the eyes of belated travellers." This makes me wonder if I don't like this one better, after all, and have just been reading it too quickly, writing them out made me love and appreciate those words even more. She is a fairy-imp in the mirror, and the notion of mirror-magic, scrying, identity itself and especially identifying as a fairy are precious to me. So is the connection that we know about these things, even if we feel like we are them, we know they, we, "come" from stories, like Bessie tells her. And it's right there that fairies are part of Nature, of places, and of the dreamworld, sleepiness, wandering and solitude of the Traveller. It's a magic sentence and I'm glad I left my bookmark there. I won't spoil the story, it's good!

The next bookmark, the red one (the last was blue) is on a song Bessie is singing, on my page 218. When I just looked at it I decided it was just something to alert me but now I realize that it is perfect for this magic to come out of Bessie's songs as well as music. Of course I think the best expressions of magic are music, art, stories (movies, games etc), and conversation and other kinds of sex.So it's nice to have music represented as the source of these ideas, too. In the song she sings "in the days when we went gipsying, A long time ago." So of course, just a day or so after the Outer Limits episode, this struck me. Also, I think when I read this we had just put together the music and lyrics for our song "Made Me a Monster" which includes the lyric "..she fashioned clothes for us" and Bessie is sewing a doll's bonnet as she sings. I was just thinking as I typed this up how the word "gipsying" means wandering in a general sense. Of course each time I hear it, now, I am reminded of Gaga's song "Gypsy" and it's theme of wandering and wandering in and out of love  - and I really can't wait to get into all of that, including the Shaggy Man of Oz and the Grateful Dead and hippies, but will save the rest for when I get to that song and just be faster catching up with Artpop and Stefani since then. Here I just want to say that it is not only the Roma people who are gypsies, in this since, but many of us are for many different reasons. I just wanted to check the context of the book, if there was more I wanted to mention, and sure enough Bessie's next song, following, is a long lament about the wandering and trials of the orphan child. It ends with "God is a friend to the poor orphan child." (p. 228) It is a song "for" Jane, since she is an orphan, foretelling her difficult journey in life, presumably. But you can't read it now, in 2016 as I am doing, without reflecting on the Syrian refugee crisis and other refugees from all of humanities atrocities upon ourselves. The Hurricane Matthew which somehow looked like Harambe on radar has just killed and displaced thousands, for instance, yet we are so politically fucked we can't even admit climate change is real which would be a major step to addressing it. I just read a great article written by an Australian girl named Tay - something Blue Planet?Or Tiny Blue Drop? - I will have to look it up  - just trying to simply, quickly, make the case that global warming is real because she was passionate about it and it was really good with graphics and everything. She said she decided to do it because she was tired of replying to challenged individually, over and over. So a problem led to a solution and the solution inspires more problem-solving. I hope we can always do as much to help everyone we can, everywhere, but the Syrian refugees were a topic of the debate last night and are as good an example as any to use for people who are forced to wander through hardships. As I have been maintaining in this blog, Syria should have never become a war but now that it is it should be the Final War - and not because we blow ourselves up but because we End War based on how we avoid turning this into World War Three. The main way, here, is to elect Jill Stein and #JillWillWin. To sum it up quickly, but please read and share thoughts from past gagablogs - I've always focused on Syria  - I will say this: We need a Unifying, Maternal "Authority" or, as I've said many times, "The Only True authority is Caring."

Without more details, we need Love to end war and Love to welcome The Wanderers. I'm glad to hear from a friend who uses that title after a while of missing her and also honored to read, and become part of, a work I read just the other day by another friend, a hyper-sigil story called The Wanderer. And she is using our Foxzen music to accompany her next chapter. I've been dreaming all year of having our music used in a video game, show, or movie but the fact that the first time it will be used is in a magic work makes me very happy and even surprised. And it's nice to see more and more people talking more often about how art is magic and become real in their lives when they make it.

My next bookmark was green on page 934 and is just because she says "But I, and the rest who continued well, enjoyed fully the beauties of the scene and season: they let us ramble in the wood, like gipsies, from morning till night; we did what we liked, we went where we liked: we lived better, too." Writing it out of context like that, not wanting to connect to context but instead to connect to everything else, like the Wanderer herself, makes it such a magical sentence to me, now, when before, when I marked it, it was just another "sign of the Gypsy." But now, with all the fall colors in bloom in the trees, it means even more to me. But it's not just that, it's how these words, these principles, become a remedy to the authoritarian and oppressive culture in which we live. I was very proud of Emily Bronte for using her first preface to stand up strongly against those who would defend bigotry and feel a strong resonance with how much we need that now, too. The next sentence, in light of "improvement": "Mr. Brocklehurst and his family never came near Lowood now..." Without giving too much away in the story I think I can say I interpret this as a magical sign that the greedy 1%ers will be convinced to leave us alone to live as we please, someday, hopefully soon. (Spoiler alert! In this case, if art be our blueprint, it is public exposure and shaming that do the trick - quick, fellow superheroes, to social media!)

My final Jane Eyre bookmark, also green, is about as far as I have read, so maybe more next time. This one is my favorite, though. I won't quote it all, it starts on my page 1057 with "A kind fairy..." so of course this got my attention. One of our songs on our new album is "The Blue Fairy" based upon Pinnochio and just this morning I met a fantastically beautiful Finnish girl - I think  -who told me some about the sauna elf, and tonttu and haltia , they have there. In the book the fairy "dropped the required suggestion on my pillow" (which reminds me of the hashtag I use for slacktivism #pillowrevolution) "for when I lay down it came quietly and naturally to my min" [what she should do.] Then on the next page, 1058, she asks the fairy a question and "Replies rose smooth and prompt, now." This is saying when we believe in fairies we can talk much better with them. But it is also the description of the very writing process, the way words occur to you and you are a conduit or channeler of stories. I remember the author of "Eat Pray Love" on NPR saying she credited it all to fairies. The important thing is that the description is the same for talking with fairies and for writing. It's not a "coincidence" because it isn't "two different things" but more when things are the same but something broken about our minds make them look different. We heal that rift by realizing this and going with it.

Last night I saw that Robin Williams movie where he is a Knight, homeless in the city, and helps.. Qui Gon Jinn? I can't be sure of the other star. Let me look it up real quick: The Fisher King. It is Jeff Bridges, I had typed and deleted that name, The Dude, right? He just has Qui Gon hair. I had seen it   many years ago, when it first came out, and missed some of it watching it last night on TV. I will just say it made me cry every second, almost - you ever have tears welling up in your neck and shoulders? He talks with fairies in the movie and it's just very touching, the dynamics between the characters and a well-made movie. It has to do with this idea of sharing identity and purpose, too. Then following that I turned to Antenna TV and saw an hour of Mork and Mindy, a two-part episode where Raquel Welsch, I think, was Nirvana, an alien commander, and with her were Kama and Sutra and they were all super-hot in their shiny and tight outfits and were trying to sex-torture some kind of secrets out of Mork, apparently. Somehow I wasn't paying enough attention or there wasn't much focus on plot. But they were super-hot and somehow Mork resisted them, or wasn't even tempted, like it really was torture. The Fisher King is a beautiful love story around tragic themes. This episode of Mork is kind of like a simple, fun, Love is more powerful than sex, even super-amazing out of this world sex. I wish I had paid closer attention to Mork's Final Thought. In both roles Mork is child-like and maybe that is why it is fine for him to be with "those kinds" of women but the super-sultry ones are "too much" for him. I don't know what is "there" in this comparison but I do feel like there is a very real connection between Fairies and Aliens. Ok, now I do know what is "there": The fairies are invisible, usually, to the audience in the Fisher King: he yells at them and chases them, etc. In Mork and Mindy, the aliens are Very Much present, you can't take your eyes off of them. They are threatening - she says she will blow up the world - but super-attractive about it throughout. They  - aliens - are "threatening" in the same way Superhot girls are "threatening": this could be too much, more than I can handle!  - is the fear. It's interesting that aliens would be portrayed that way and maybe it's apt. One of the wikileaked emails was about how ETI, aliens, were waiting to contact us and share zero-point energy with us but required us to achieve Peace, first, since they tolerate no violence. In this sense, aliens are so Powerful they can demand we all Put Down Our Weapons just with their commanding awesomeness, just like a hot girl can get someone who is attracted to her to do anything because she has a higher magnitude of power over him, on a completely superior dimensional plane to "force." In contrast, fairies are invisible and only certain people can see them, usually after mystical experiences, in this case a bowel movement. If our governments are concealing alien communication its probably to protect their Military, which is obsolete in the Future Intergalactic World, despite our many movie fantasies. The whole premise of having nukes, nuclear bombs, because you claim to be responsible enough to never use them but you somehow aren't responsible enough to actually get rid of them, is the sticking point. We are tied down by our violence. But we have guides from within ("fairies") and Without ("aliens") who help us. Once again, probably not really two categories of things just looking at different parts of this spectrum of being. We're part of it, too, and are more alien and fairy than we realize, until we start to.

I can imagine rejections of some of these ideas along these lines  -I hear these things in my head like I assume people will hear in theirs. "Of course if you are focused on something you will notice it more when you come in contact, but that's not magic, it's just focus and odds, randomness." I understand that idea- what about all the billions of things that happened this week that have Nothing to do with gypsies, fairies, or aliens? You can always explain it that way, "that only stood out to me because I was already thinking about it," but why were you already thinking about it? Could it be that something "worked" without your intention, without you being fully aware of it? I have an example of Media Magic working. There have been some large Bernie Sanders groups on facebook that have been taken over by hill-trolls. In one of them the admin had posted his reasoning for betraying the Movement and everyone was berating him for it, soundly and deservedly. I was being "nice" and just said something grateful, but as I typed the comment there was this line being delivered on The Simpsons DVD I was playing, "A Streetcar Named Marge" episode: Lionel Hutz says "I'm filing a class-action suit against the director on behalf of every cast member who was cut from the play - and I also play Mitch!" To me, as one of the Bootable Berners because I won't support Klinton or any other Warmonger, KKKandidate, I DID represent all of the people cut from the "play" (and what a farce it turned out to be!) but at the same time I was being nice and trying to stay sneakily in the group amidst their big #Purge and in that sense I "also play Mitch!" So I typed the quote in as my next comment, like I was revealing my true intention, in a joke. I didn't get banned for a few more days.

The shake-up of all the many, many Bernie groups, the shakedown street to the Jill groups  -because all true Berners now support Jill as far as I can tell, made me realize how important good groups are. This summer I decided to start one for the Fairy Liberation Front and recently decided to revive my Peacepipe Party political Group. Here are the links for them, I hope they are self-explanatory but here is my thoughts on all of this, in summary. When I first saw that Gaga had a song called "Gypsy" I cringed because that term is questionable. But of course I love the song, love the meaning and love all of the wonderful things it implies. I remember now a Susan Sarandon appearance, I think, on Carson I saw recently where she plays a gypsy and talks about how rich their culture is but the threats to them, too. I think about how we all have this same dimension to us and some of us live in it more. It's the more magical, more natural, and less "attached" side of ourselves and we can all relate to it, we can all be gypsies and hippies and wanderers in our way and we should seek that as a way to connect to others, wandering for the many various reasons on the manifold paths it takes us. We, humanity, can learn to value, love, and appreciate the refugee and orphan, the homeless and disadvantaged and value and respect them, us, enough as people that we help each other out of these conditions of suffering. I feel the same way about the fairies. My neighbor had two trees cut down recently and that is sad. Earlier today we passed an old office they are rebuilding and they had cut down the line of trees by the road. They are threatening to build that pipeline through sacred ground. And these are just some of the examples that are going on at a massive scale all over the world. It is the same solution to all of them.

The Peacepipe Party is the Liberal answer to the Tea Party on the right. We will maintain a position that is left-of-Green and Left-of-Democr...oh, that's right, they don't exist anymore on the left, they are just gearing up to replace the Republicans who I hope are at least done for. We have two main focuses, Peace, ending the Military Industrial Complex (and it's evil cat, the Fossil Fuel Industry) and Weed, legalizing weed for all it's recreational, medicinal, spiritual, artistic, and manufacturing purposes. It's based on the idea that these two approaches will save the world, with focus.

The Fairy Liberation Front is a continuation of the Civil Rights movement to include Fairy spirits who are human, animal, and plant as well as the ones who inhabit geographical locations, rocks, and really everything, from toys and cartoons and video game characters to moods and ideas and music and Art and science and technology. Fairies everywhere, honoring and protecting them and giving anyone who chooses to use internet or voice or any media to work together to free ourselves from all that restricts us and holds us back. So it's for aliens, too, of course, and everyone! Thanks for joining them and making us a part of you, too!

gagablog 116: Ties

I really love feeling in love, I love the feeling of it. You can get that from a Perfect Illusion, too, for a while. And I also love how that feeling inspires me to art - I love to be in love for Art's sake. The secret is to fall in love with Art, to stay in that inspiration of love. But of course we all want people around to help remind us, to connect with, to inspire us and to care for each other. You can feel fantastic inspiration from illusions, too. You can get the feelings and the creativity from Love, whetheer it is true or not. The ideal of True love is that someone will sty ith you through the changes and continue to be both comforting and chllenging, familiar and inspiring. If you just need to grow beyond who you can be with someone, or if they were tricking you, you eventually get to the point where it doesn't work. Work is art. You want it to work, you want to be in love, for the feelings and for the way it makes you appreciate your time with art, enjoying more, making more of it. I've been "off track" in this way, for some time, so "I'm one to talk." But if I was Doing, Loving more, better,
I would be showing by example, not just talkin. So I am one to talk. When I become an artist and do what I've been talking about maybe I will become one to talk about.

I'm thankful to weed for inspiring me, for being my Lover in this sense all my life and inspiring this very blog. I feel the same way for Art, for Music, and for Gaga. I've always loved them and they've loved me and carried me through. How could I want any more than this, when showered with so much abundant riches? Well, first, regarding weed, you want everyone to share the same advantages, you want it legal everywhere. But personally I want someone to touch, I want affection. And I'm proud of this. I realize some tension in my life has arisen from the refusal to accept the lesson Gaga summed up as "fall in love with Art because art won't ake up in the morning and say it doesn't love you." (She may have said "career" but to me unless the work is creative it can't really compare with love, even love that ends.) I've believed that and known it to be true. But at the same time I wanted ot be the exception to the rule, to find Love before becoming the artist I know I'm meant to be, to find someone who wants to be ith me just for "me", not just for my Art - but the irony is this is probably the only time I really indulge in thinking of myself as a separate being, in order to request some affection "over here", while otherwise I like to think ofmyself as part of the whole fabric of existence, merging with the buddhafield, paradise. I know it is "hell" to stand out from hat, to try and "Be Me", aside from the me who is the true artist I am meant to be - it's no wonder "I" am all that is holding me back. "But I feel justified!" - I feel that is a funny voice inside of me I had to allow. There is a point I'm making here but it's hard to say because it goes against everything we are taught.

I do believe that we have to accept ourselves, we have to love ourselves in order for anyone to love us. It starts with us, or as a fortune cookie once told me "Our first and last love is self-love." Also I have this idea of the cyclone of love that leads to Oz, based on the principle of loving othes as youself, actively, therefore loving others, more and more others, more and more, and in turn loving yourself more and more, until there is no going back. I do believe in that, and that it does start in each of us, the reason we think of the "heart" being the core. "The heart remains a child" is the Everything But The Girl song I have on since I can't find the uncensored Artpop disc right now and I have another hour to type and find it, but wanted to start instead of looking for it more. "Why don't you love me?" she's wrapping it up, now. And I don't know who Gaga supports in the election but I gave up that spell to get her to support Bernie when she broke up with Taylor, hoping that was all that was "censoring" her,  and I'm only lisetening to the uncensored Artpop now, unless I still can't find it in a few minutes.

I do believe we have to love ourselves but I also reject this whole society that leads us to believe it is hard to find love. I do believe we love each other, naturally, but end up restricting ourselves to fit this mean society. I reject that society and take the path of loving others as a spiritual path, not just for myself but as a way to transform the world. It helps to have people love you. I relate to Gaga saying she is like a baby in her crative state and appreciates the team of people she has to help make that possible. But of course she had to be a baby on her own at some point. And even in early stages we all have help. I've alays been a musician but I'm eternally grateful to my best friend for making the music that I sing with for our band Foxzen because it literally makes my dreams come true.

It takes us accepting and loving ourselves but it's not like we have to learn that lesson in complete isolation. Very often we learn it when a relationship goes bad, we are hurt and the only way to pick up and move on from that feeling is to decide to love ourself more. So we learn it, alone, but that leesson hurts. I know, I can say I "learned that lesson" but at the same time there is always the chance there is more to it, or I will have to review, or more often prompt the fear of it by giving in to other fears and insecuritt. And naturally it scares me because it hurts, you don't want to go through it again, it hurts to think about anyone else going through it.- I do need to change the music if I want to stop discussing heartbreak. Just skipping ahead, for now, still have an hour. It is possible to learn these lessons, tough and subtle as they can be, while still in a reltionship, we are generally chipping away at it all the time, I expect. And it is possible to come to understandings in relationships so they don't have to end badly but can continue, maybe in other forms, while new relationships are made. But moments of crisis may bring out how much we feel we love ourselves, and each other. I realized this morning (the next day, this last line is during the edit) that I feel bad for mentioning any issues I have with "my lover" in this gagablog. I usually want to acvoid it but include it sometimes when it is the best way to express my point or i just feel like this is the only wat to express it. But I realized when I talk about peoblems I have with my lover these are usually reflections of my own issues with myself and would likely come up, maybe in different forms, but one way or another even if I was with someone else. So it's not really personal about her but about ways our interactions gradually get me over my own issues. I remember I was going to mention the Bhagavad Gita and how there are various paths to "paradise" or whatever it is. One is the path of the parent and i'm blessed with such wonderful kids that one is easy for me. It seems greedy to look for any other path but I also want the path of devotion to a lover and the path of devotion to the divine. The last one is always open, though Art, to me through Gaga, specifically, but also through nature and other artists, media, and endless variety of religion. There is also an endless variety of people to fall in love with but when you really feel love with someone and it becomes a path of devotion you feel fulfilled and completed by it and can fear losing it. It's just that the actions from fear are the most dangerous ones so it helps to use that energy to look inside instead and change yourself how you can. But we all live in this world which is systematically arranged against our most precious inner selves by making some unnatral demands. So love it the place where we can try to nurtire ourselves, safe from these social judgments, however the same judgments can creep in between us if we don't stay close enough.

Here's my complaint with society and how it affects all our relationships. We act like there is not enough love going around, not enough to do what is needed, not enough for everyone to get even a little bit. We act like this because our society is run in this Loveless way, but it's simply not true. It's like if they did start charging you for how much air you breathe or how much blue you look at. Our whole world, socially, culturally, is built upon this hurtful lie of scarcity, that there is not enough to go around. I want to prove that there is love out there, that underneth it all everything is actually love. I believe in that more than anything. But we don't act like that, we act like the opposite is true. We act like Love is only at the pinnnacle of existance and we have to go through all sorts of "reality" in order to get there. In fact all of this reality is just a pile of bullshit covering the ground of love we all live upon, based on the myth of love as "only for a few" pie in the sky. "Looking at an open sky" she just sang in Good Cop, Bad Cop." "To want and want and never have." There is a reason there is an analogy beteen how we see worldy success and how we see love - both are part of this pattern of bullshit, increasing the idea of striving instead of appreciating what is there "to only see what isn't there, to want and ant and never have" she sang in ths verse. Hillary Clinton is talking aboout healing this rift between cops and communities but if you can't trust her its because you can tell it is not from the heart. I guesss the hope is that her heart can be reawakened and she can be true but all the cheating she did to win the primaries doesn't make you assume she is close to that. Striving is what allows some people to get on top of a whole.mass of other people, we all support the system of injustice with our own Striving. I'm not saying we can all sit back and relax and do nothing. I'm saying we have been duped into striving, competing with each other, to reach the goals of Rare Love and Treasure. But if we saw through the myth of their treasure we would see that love is ll around us. "We both were in that little house, just hanging out, didn't know what you were about" in the current song, "Wrong."

So I wanted to fall in love, first, then be an artist. All I needed to do was appreciate the love I found instead of still thinking I had More to go for. When I've felt like we're falling out of love my only recourse is Art when I think poisitively about it.. And when we really feel in love, when I'm inspired by the bliss or comfort of it, the only appropriate thing to do with that energy is make Art, music, or magic. This is all that is wonderful enough to "contain" or commemorate these feelings. My problem is, like everyoine else, I think and file things away and act differently than I ideally can. But I know how to access the ideal, too. If I'm feeling "out of love" dont freak out about it and get desperate to save the relationship, go with it, into Art, to remind myself of the magic that always loves me, is always there for me, even if I've been the one who was away, for a time. If I do this I can avoid really "breaking up". The break-ups always come from trying to fight for an idea of yourself you feel is being lost in the communication of the relationship. Art would be the best way to expresss these kinds of feelings, too, but too often I just want her to listen to me talk about it and tell me what she thinks but these discussions can be so sensitive they turn into arguments. So if I could write it down, a a song, story, or paint it, it would be much better. If I don't and we ague too much, I will eventually feel heartbroken and that can reset my relationship with Art, too, remind me to create again, but it's just not the path I want to take. I also need to remind myself to make the most of every good moment and feeling, not just to seek out the very best all the time. I know art is healing magic and is the best thing to do, when I'm feeling bad or good, it makes me feel better. I feel the same way about love in a relationship where the person actually is good for you, where you aren't in abusive situations or at a place where you just can't care about each other equally anymore. We will always have "our own lives" and want people to fit into them, and leave space for them, to different degrees. I ant to "know" I have true love before being The Artist I am, but that is bullshit to insist on this kind of Order. I need to allow my Artistic self and my love to develop at the same time. The Cd just ended so now it is time to switch to Artpop, even if I have to play the censored one. Ah, only  a few seconds later I found the foil one. And now, to celebrate with 45 minutes left to type, a little more of this Green Crack strain I heard originated in my hometown of Athens, Georgia.

I'm reminded how much I do want to continue and finish my discussion of all the Artpop lyrics, as I heard them, before reading what they really are, but I can't help feeling I have suffered from the choice of this "Getting it wrong" series and my life will transform, magically, when I get back "on the right track" within this belief in love instead of watching it pass like a a cow watchng a train, as it were. Carson told a joke that they were counting dining cars. The theme of this is Ties for a few reasons, starting with a conversation I had with my daughter yesterday. She asked me what I thought of ties. I said it depended on how you looked at things. If it was something that you really wanted to have a clear winner, a tie could be seen as bad. If you don't want anyone to feel bad for losing, a tie is good. And if someone wants to feel good from winning then a tie could be bad. If one side only wants to win, will only accept winning, but the other side just doesn't want to lose, the tie can be good and bad. I feel like I summed it up better talking with her. But my conclsion was that Ties were better because they had more options to make people feel good and less to make them feel bad. I thought it as interesting to think about and planned to include it in my gagablog. I guess the only side that is likely to be "hurt" by a tie is the one that insists upon winning and maybe that attitude and perspective benefits from being checked sometimes, taken down a peg, like karma. So I came to the overall conclusion that ties were good. Then last night I was struck by a joke Carson told about Ties. He said a Tie is like kissing your sister, no one likes it and you both want to throw up afterards. I don't recall what the context was. I was already kind of alerted that I would put things he as saying in my blog because of the time period: he was making jokes about the first two weeks of the invasion of Iraq, how they never managed any air defenses, how their commanders were dummies (they had put dummies on the batllefied) and then mentioned they had the fourth largest army in the world and had paid for it with oil money and we should have gone over and "relieved" them of the oil before they knew what it was.

Sexxx Dreams is ending now and I still can't wait to write about it but still don't feel quite "ready". To nights ago I committed to it again because of an episode of Three's Company. Chrissie - damn Gaga as hot as Chrissie on SNL - is asking Janet about dream interpretation. I wish I had written more notes but she is asking if she is a sex fiend since she had a dream about wearing blue shoes to prom. "What's rong with that?" Janet asks and she says she asn't wearing anything else. So of course I see this as a sign that I should write about Sexxx Dreams as soon as possible. Then she mentions her other dream, that she is eating a blueberry muffin while riding a white unicorn with a tulip in it's teeth. I just remembered I saw Vanilla Ice doing the Pasa Doble while channel-surfing, but I don't know if that has a flower in your mouth or not, I don't think he did. But of course I thought it sounded like a Sex Dream, and also reminded me of Gaga with the blueberry muffin and unicorn. And then the very next scene begins ith Helen Roper reading "The Passsionate Countessa" which also reminds me of Gaga and reminds me to watch Hotel."Do what you want ith my Body" is on now and it makes me ant to finish that series so much but I don't want to only half-do it, with 23 minutes loeft to type, so I hope I will resume that for edition number 117.

Back to what I wanted to say about Ties. I just noticed I wrote a note of the actual question, I think, or the impresion I got from it. She may have asked me "do you think it is better to look at a tie as both people win or both people lose?" In a way that is a more subtle question, but really it just makes it more obvious that, when things are "equal", why not look at that positively?

I know it may seem like all this is pointless but I really think there is something to it which ultimately will change the world, undo the wrong in the world. Our world is based upon a "winners" mentality, at least here in America, and certain things we do, such as make over 80% of the worlds weapons, probably, do have an affect on the whole world. We probably aslo make most of the TV and movies, so I'm trying to say influence can go either ay but it is up to us to cut out the bad side. "Could try to sell you out or I" she just sang. I do want to end all war and all exploitative banking and other industries. Sorry to say it, I want to put you out of a job. But I also ant to put all sorts of people out of jobs by automating industry. I want us to move past a "work" standard of living. I absolutely despise the idea that you have to "work" for a living, that you have to earn your living, as if you owe a debt for your existance. That is totally a construction of "this world" and is at the heart of all the problems, stabbing our tue heart like a stake. "We could belong together"   - the song artpop just ended and it sums up this idea so well to me, refashioning the world around Art and love, not money, so that we are together instead of separate.

This is the beauty of the Tie. This is why I was happy with my conclusion about the Tie, yesterday morning, then kind of horrified by Carson's in the rerun last night and why I associated it so closely wiht his comments about Iraq. He was laughing at them for using dummies, for not being able to get any planes off the ground, and for two weeks into the war putting up minimal resistance. He said there was a traffic light on the Kuwaiti border that went "desert / don't desert" - like a crosswalk signal - since so many were deserting. "Swine" just reached the breakdown part, painting faces. So all this gloating, 25 years later after both the seige of Baghdad was so quick, and the second Iraq war so long, seemed weird. But mostly it seemed weird becuase it was just ragging on the Iraqis with no shame and since then, in the "rebuilding" stage, our culture is always presenting positive, sympathetic views of Iraqis  - so seeing how much animosity was just a joke at the time was jarring. But I remember those times, too, I just didn't have TV back then and never saw Carson live. And I'm not trying to pick on him, now, just referring to how it was at the time. It reminds me of what I detest about the "winner's only" culture, especially when the deck is always stacked in their favor. At the time I never accepted any justification for war in Irq and was against it long before it was ever announced because I knew that was what  Bush was after, the first Bush to sell weapons and the second that same goal as well as some sick Revenge for his daddy - but mostly just an ad for war. They had protestors saying it was about oil and gas prices but to me that as an orchestrated diversion becuase it was really a genocidal, evil advertisment for more war and weapons. And of course the destabilzation created conditions to sell more weapons. I was just talking about this because it stuck out, for the time period and for what he said about ties, at the end.

But what he said about ties, that they were disgusting, was a symptom of this whole mentality, that Winners are the only valuable ones and that someone has to win, someone has to be on top "I own the world, we own the world" she just sang as I typed that. But of course Gaga is singing about "looking good and feeling fine" and a different kind of power and being on top of the world, feeling your best. Not this standard of war, of being able to kill the most people. Well, slay them with fashion, is all. "Married to the stars" to me has a mystical meaning, though maybe she means movie stars, I don't kmow, with just five more minutes I have to remember I will get into all of this soon, once I'm back on track.

The beauty of the tie is that no one has to lose and it IS better to see a tie as "all are winners" instead of "all are losers" or "we just don't know who the real winners nad losers are, damn." Its not a problem to have more equality, it's actually improvement, especially in a world when some people are at such great disadvantage. For games, of course, the whole fun is the challenge of having winners and losers and underdogs and champions. But the whole beauty of being able to do it that way is that it doesn't really matter or have life-threatening consequences. But when you have "winners" and "losers" in the street, in the real world, when everyone is not treated equally, you have protected classes, even jobs like our cops who can kill people without punishment. And you have politicians at the top getting away with everything but always wanting to push the envelope further to more evil, as if we can stand anymore, and that can't just continue. We have to be able to look through these things and see the real world beyond it. We can do it and we will but it's so much nicer when we do it by coming together in the magic of love than from destroying each other and realizing only from hat we've lost. Just as I need to use my good AND bad feelings to remind me to make Art, we need to remember that we are alays moving towards either coming closer together or pushing each other apart, as individuals all the way up to nations. We've been set in this standard of always pushing away, to make our own space, to assert our rights, to claim dominance or alternately to plea for justice from those ho dominte us. Well, I have to maake this trip but willl return to conclude this and read it over.

My friend just mentioned Arnold Palmer, I don't know why. I'm glad he did because it reminded me of some media magic I did not write down because I felt sure I would remember it. The last note I did make was a radio DJ talking aabout it being better to break up and get it over with than live a lie and also about rollercoasters. He said riding them prevented kindney stones because the forces you feel on them end up causing you to pass the stones while they are small to avoid getting larger and more problematic and painful. I noted this, gross as it is, because of recently discussing the "rollercoaster" of emotions of a tumultuous relationship. Of course it sucks to have conflict and ups and downs but if they can help you work out some problems and eliminate them before they get bigger then it an be good, in the long run, as long as it's not too destructive in the short run. The diffference is being able to keep that perspective and share the long-term goal of being together. The falsehood of the "perfect illusion" is that if one person truly wants this and the other person is only saying that they want it, but they do say it, then the person who is truly in love has no idea there is somehting wrong. This is why it is almost better to tell a harsh truth than to sugar-coat a lie, like giving a bitter tonic versus candied poison. I'm not going to try and say anything good about Trump because he stnds for so much evil, and I don't want to talk about Hillary, either, but I will say that the reason they are currently tied, supposedly, in polls is that they are both equally horrible, one for telling th truth about how bad he is andthe other for lying about wanting to be good to cover the fact that she could be much worse. She has more connections with foreign governments, weapons makers and oil companies. But I don't think there will really be  choice between them, it should be Bernie and maybe it will be after some October Surprise. But Bernie will, or would, easily win and that is where you see how she is tied with him. Even if many people don't know anything too bad about her the people who would otherise support her won't do it becuase she stole the primary, in many cases stealing their votes, pesonally. People can't just support someone like that just because they are afraid of the alternative and I think that is why they are Tied, plus I think it truly is entirely a sham this year and he is just playing to lose since he is basically working for her. As long as it's  "tie" they can rake in money from both sides.

But back to Arnold Palmer. The new season of the Simpsons started last Sunday and I'm glad I got to see it. I've always been religious about the Simpsons and while I always looks for connections between them, and all art, and my life and world events, even with the rerun schedule, just as I did with Carson last night, there are many examples of the Simpsons magically predicting things and stange codes in the jokes. I watched a video about these things once. In the first epiosode of the new season which aired for the first time last Sunday there is a scene where Homer is making Arnold Palmers and says the name "Arnold Palmer" numerous times. Then after the Simpsons there was a news report that Arnold Palmer had died that same day, Sunday. Of course the episode must have been written and animated months ago so this was one of those stand-out examples of media magic, another Simpsons predition. I think they somehat predicted President Trump, though I think the context can leave it open to interpretation. The only reason I can think to mention it relating to this edition of the gagablog is that the theme is Ties and an Arnold Palmer is half lemonade and half iced tea. They are both made what they become, together, only in an equal mixture of both. So it's  tie. This reminds me of a meme I saw on the internet  - I did go back, some, on the fall equinox, to the chos magic group on facebook, found some new people there, some old ones who welcomed me, but there I saw this meme ith various ideologies represented by a glass half full with water, in different arrangements.

There is a Sativa hybrid called Sweet Dream testing at 31% THC so I am going to get some, be back soon.

Well, I didn't get a chance to write anymore yesterday so this is the next day, Thursday. I'm glad to say everything is still fine in my personal life. I'm sad to say things have not changed enough in the world. I'm about to read over this but I want to include the last things I didn't get to, about the #blacklivesmatter protest and the book I am reading, The Black Arrow. Now it is Friday morning because all I got to do yesterday with this was read it over.

There was a communications professor on NPR talking about how he discussed the protests of polce shootings with his class. He said that students get defensive and take things personally, especially if they have family in law enforcement. That would prevent people from opening up and engaging the conversation. The soution he found was to talk about the systems that we are part of instead of talking about individuals. He said he would emphasise the human being who put on the police uniform so he could talk about the system that the uniform represents. He said body cameras and "training" were surface solutions but that we needed deeper systematic changes. This is about racism and classism inherent in the culture of police work. Once you start talking about the system then it is not isolated to any one field. These same factors affect all of our lives. We live in a world that is made out to be all about winners and losers but that is the source of our problem, the idea of superiority and inferiority, and we will evolve as a species when we overcome it. Other animals in the wild may end up losing some members who are different due to natural selection but if not the unique one's adapatation can steer the course of the whole species. When people make arguments that because of "natural selection" some humans should be "allowed to die" you know this is wrong, you can feel it in your heart, in your own nature. This ie because nature is deeper than we allow ourselves to realize on the surface. It is part of our nature, as humans, to support wider variety in our species. I remember my 9th or 10th grade world history treacher telling us that the measure of a civilzation is how it treats it's elderly and disabled people. We have a unique ability to promote ourselves beyond any other species on the planet. We have certainly reached the level of advancement that we could overcome all our natural worries and just fix the new problems we create for ourselves from economics, including enviromentally disasterous energy policies, the evil of war, oppressive law enforcement and prohibitively high health costs.

The secret is to treat all people equally and do this throughout the system. Most of Hillary's ads here in Colorado were making fun of Trump for making fun of disabled people. She stopped running ads here, foolishly, since they counted 69% of our caucus for Bernie and that was after they stole a lot of our votes. She wasn't very popular to begin with but after stealing the primary people hate her even more strongly. Since her ads left there have been ads for Morgan Carrol, the democratic senate challenger to Mike Coffman. These are actually the same ads, just reminding everyone that Trump mocked a disabled person. They never say anything good about the democratic candidate just demonize him and Mike Coffman for not standing up to him. My point is that everyone should respect disabled or differently abled people and everyone mostly does except for complete assholes like Trump. To have to point this out is going for a really low bar and even Trump supporters don't like him because they hate disabled people but probably make some excuse for his behavior. If everyone agrees that we shouldn't make fun of disabled people but we have a candidate for president who has done this then it does say something about our culture. The problem is he can claim he was not making fun of his disablility, that his opponent is misrepresenting him, When he says sexist and racist things, though, he can't claim this. He says too many of them to pretend they are all misstatements and they all fit with what you can tell he believes, that some people are winners and some people are losers. He probably thinks this way about disabled people, too, but he won't say it because it goes against this "universally" accepted truth. I put that in quotes because it is not "universally accepted" truth. The principle behind respecting differntly abled people is that we respect all people regardless of difference. Different abilities get everyone's respect, supposedly, because you are born that way, or something happened to you as a result of an accident or war. So people are sympathetic. Why don't the differences of race and gender and sexual orientation get the same universal respect? It's because sexism, racism, and homophobia are too deeply ingrained in the culture to oppose them without some effort. If the democrats were running ads in Colorado about Trump and Company being racist they would get more support from me. As it is, they can't count on enough people here being motivated against racism as they can count on people's sympathy for disabled folks. This is wrong, we should be as sensitive to racism, sexism, and homophobia as we are to descrimination or abuse based upon abilities. Legally we claim to be, in many areas, but we just don't live up to it in the culture. They have started running ads for Carrol about the birther controversy, pointing out the racism of Trump insisting for years that Obama was born in Kenya and tying Coffman to him wiht his quote that he doesn't know where he was born but "he knows in his heart" that Obama "is not an American." This is the same evil attitude of deciding who is deserving, based upon race or origin or whatever. The problem is that Trump's claim is probably true that Hillary is the one who began the birther controversy in her campaign against Obama in '08. She, and her supporters, don't have much moral authority to challenge Trump if they originated the lie. You can tell Hillary also thought she scored major points in the debate when Trump admittied that he cheated the tax system and was proud of being smart enough to do it because he doesn't approve of what the taxes are spent on. First of all, many people sympathize with that attitude and respect him for it and even more for being open about it. But even more important Hillary has no moral authority to gloat over Trump for cheating the system because she cheated the whole eloctoral process this year, in every state, in every way she could, in order to be the nominee in the first place. She is the worse cheater, cheating us out of our vote, not just money, and she is worse for acting like she didn't do it, lying about it every step she takes forward without stepping down. I'm not saying he would be a better president, I'm saying we need Bernie, Jill, Tulsi, or a real revolution. There is a reason Trump and Hillary are tied, they are both equally terrible, both equal losers.

The main reason I am complaining about the Democrats running ads about Trump making fun of disablilty and the birther controversy is the ads themselves, their focus, reveals the democrats own racism. It's basically the same commercial Hillary ran that Morgan Carroll is running against Coffman so I consider this all part of the current DNC tactics. This reflects what the Democrats have become now that they;ve driven us Berners out, a fake party of pretending to oppose Republican ideal while actually implementing them. The racism is obvious in this: Why use the birther controversy to call Tump / Coffman out for racism? They've both made many more racist comments and supported terribly racist policies. Why focus on Obama? Is it because you can't expect the same level of outrage from Coloradoans over racism against black folks in general or the policies that oppress them? Why not run ads about how Trump says he supports stop and frisk, for example? Well, the simple truth is that too many people in Colorado are racist as fuck themselves and they don't care about these issues. A lot of people do, more and more I'm sure as more cool and young people move out here for the weed. But the general population will get upset if you insult disabled people, or pretend they are, anyway, and they will get upset about insulting Obama, most of them will, anyway. But our culture here is too racist, etc, to get people too upset by Trump opposing Muslims, immigrants, Latinos, women and black people. Obama is like OJ or Tiger Woods, he's not Black, he's Obama. This is unfortunate. He should have stayed black, that's why a lot of us voted for him. But  it is because he has "transcended" the way our culture curses black folk that he is "Respectable" enough to expect the majority of Colorado culture to respect him. If he had insited on taking up black folks issues in his presidency things would have been much different by now, already. I'm not saying he should have done what he said he wouldn't do to avoid criticism, that he should "just be a president for black people." But saying, as the first black president, that he is going to be a president for "All people" is basically the foundation of "All Lives Matter." You have to recognize this country's history of oppression of minorities and the way that history continues. Obama should have said something like "I will be president of all people, of all America. But I recognize that America has a history of oppression of minority people, people who look like me. For justice for them, for their benefit, and for the benefit of the whole country and healing the tears in our fabric, I will be a president who focuses on these problems of social injustice and fixes them."

Hillary said some good things in her debate, all of which I feel like she stole from the Bernie campaign. She ended with his "Its not me, it's us"  appeal, and it isn't her, we can all still hear him saying that since it was his theme. Her best part was how she addressed the issue of the cops abusing people, focusing almost entirely on needing to address the problems in policing. Her solution of body cameras is good an welcome, of course, but again this should have already been universal by Obama, they are slow-walking Justice, and after the professor said these are good but only surface bandaids to avoid addressing the problem at a systematic level it makes me wonder, if Obama was too entrenched in the system to be able to effectively address this problem in eight years what makes us believe Hillary would have the heart to even make as much progress as he has. It's just not changing fast enough, not as fast as we need it to change and not as fast as we will be demanding it change. So if they can't get someone in power who is really willing to make these changes it won't go well for them and could change the country much more than what they have been so desperately trying to avoid by rigging the political system to keep Bernie out of office. Maybe that's just the say it has to happen but I still like to have faith in the Democratic (if we can get that back) idea that the government is like the collective mind. I like the idea that we have the ability to make good choices, as people and as a culture, that we can just choose to improve ourselves and our old bad habits won'tdrag us down. I say that after smoking my first cigarette in a few days, earlier this morning, but Mary Jane Holland on right now reminds me to enjoy this Sweet Dream again, 31% was no joke.

If you want to be a leader, lead. Don't say "Colorado doesn't care much about racism, immigration, or sexism, or war- well, there are still too many folks there who are conservative about all of those things, we don't have enough leverage on this side of the wedge, so let's focus on them disrespecting Disabled people and Obama, instead." Say "you SHOULD care about all the racism, islamophobic, sexist, war-mongering and anti-environment ideals the opponents are putting out. If you don't, I will tell you why you should, because I am a leader." Hillary kind of did this in her answer to the question about bringing communities and police together. But again she can't be trusted to have the heart to root out the systemic problems if Obama couldn't. I guess we can hope to force her to address them, with protest and spreading awareness, just as we hoped to convince Obama. It just seems like I'm saying that to play devil's advocate and we really just need to accept that they won't change unless we force them to. Like I said, I do believe we can just "make smart choices", as a country, that'swhat dEmocracy is for. But only if they let us have our choice. We chose Bernie, largely with the support milinneals who we all kind of respect as idealistic and full of potential and will be around longer, influencing the next generation more, to see that justice is done, eventually. Hillary stole our chance to do it now and the game they are playing, to keep oil companies and war in business a few more years, is just evil and doomed to fail, plus it's time is up. One way or another we are taking the country back for the earth and for the people. We are all on the same side. The only thing dividing us is this artificial system that decides there must be winners and losers so we know who to treat well and who to treat badly. That just needs to go away so we can realize there is no reason for all this striving and conflict.

Trump and Hillary both support the same corporate interests. She talks about "taking people out" like murder and war are a fun game to her. He just pretends to be more serious about it but both are equally dangerous for starting wars, in different ways. War is not the answer. Our creativity and ingenuity are the answers. Working together is the answer. I really feel like, from the debate, everything about them was so similar, from their fake Egos, so easily rattled into tantrums, to their policies. The only thing they seemed to be claiming a difference on was addressing the problems with police. Trump said everything you would expect from someone who is racist and out of touch, "law and order" and bringing back the policy of Stop and Frisk even though it was deemed unconstitutional for being desrciminatory. Of course Hillary's answer was much better, from the Bernie Book, but it was her saying it which makes it untrustworthy. And it wasn't anything Obama shouldn't have done already and we apparently can't trust either of them for the same reason, they are the tools of The Man. Still, at least she is talking about doing the right thing and the main problem is, like Obama, she would be in a position to do much more but by dragging her feet becomes an obstacle to progress. So she would be in the way, but at least facing the right direction, and could be motivated to move faster and make some of the progress we need. The problem is that electing her encourages them that they can get away with everything on her terms. Maybe she'd be more humble about it if she lost again. But I truly believe our best choice is to elect Jill Stein, or force the DNC to allow the Return of Bernie. I don't know how that would be possible besides throwing a wrench in the normal process if he wins in Vermont and Wyoming and/or Oregon or other states with Write-in votes, sending it to the house to decide and the people put pressure on their representatives to vote for Bernie. Maybe there would be another way to just replace her with him on the ballot if some major news breaks in October, the famous #OctoberSurprise. I keep veering from the point, though. The point is that both Hillary and Trump seem ready to start a war which is the main reason we don't need either of them. Trump claims to be "pro-business" while Clinton may claim to value the environment but is even more a tool of the oil companies than he is. Trump would be worse on social issues but that does not mean she would be good, or good enough. She dodged the issue when he brought up her using the term "superpredators" to refer to black people just like she dodged when he said she stole the primary from Bernie. Her mentor, Robert Byrd, is a former Klansman and while Trump got the endorsement of one KKK Grand Dragon Hillary was endorsed by another one and he used the same langauge Koch used when he expressed supprt for Hillary, that she was only lying about what she would do to get elected but once in office would do what they wanted.

All things being equal (as indeed they might be with Trump and Clinton is he is working for her, playing to lose, just a decoy to ensure she becomes president) the difference between Trump and Clinton is that he is making that hyper-"Amerikkkan" (the worst of America) argument that the cops are always right, might makes right, they have the power to kill without question because they are the "winners" and everyone else are "losers" and therefore don't count. Of course the cops protect those who are "winners" enough, rich enough, to be above the law. This is the whole system we need to abolish. Bernie represents abolishing this evil system, this relic of slave days. Hillary represents putting a dress on it. Maybe a dress with body cameras. But if you can't get anyone to see the footage, and you can't get a conviction of cops, then a body camera is like a carnation. Someone here recently got mandatory life in prison for killing a cop in a high-speed chase, he hit him with his car going through an accident scene, and the charge was first degree murder. But the cop who shot an unarmed, compliant civilian with a gun recently in Tulsa may face manslaughter  charges and we can only hope there will actuall be any punishment. This double-standard and blind support of the police is the essence of the "some people are more worthy than others" problem. And the problem is that Hillary suffers from it worse than anyone if she feels like her own "worthiness" to be president entitles her to steal the election and supercedes the worth of millions of other people by stealing their vote.

I really didn't intend to talk so much about politics. I want to say that only real leaders, visionary leaders, can change things as radically as we need them to change. They are the only ones who can look at the system an actually root out problems, from the root, not just trim the leaves back. Hillary and Trump just aren't these kinds of people, or aren't anymore, and Bernie is and everyone knows this. People who have heart know that this system is corrupt. And all people have hearts but many people just aren't exposed to the reality of what is happening enough for their hearts to be awakened. And some who are end up getting their hearts covered over with greed, for power or other interests - because Hillary and Obama were both apparently idealistic in their youth. The key is that Bernie is still youthful, still idealistic, and that is why he resonates so much with this generation and people of all ages who have a sense of justice. People like to make excuses for slavery and other atrocities by saying it was a different time when people thought differently. But at all these times there have been radical, progressive people fighting for truth and justice, which proves people have always known better, too, or were capable of knowing better if they only knew what was really happening. These long movements towards justice just keep going but do turn on various revolutionary moments. There is a new movie out, for some reason called Birth of a Nation which I beleive was an old KKK propoganda film of the silent era. A Denver couple produced it and are having its premiere here. It is about Nat Turner's rebellion in 1830 to overthrow the slave system. I admit I don't know much about the history but in the pulicity for it I felt smart and fortunate to have even known who Nat Turner was from my school days in Georgia. John Brown has been on my mind, from the Grateful Dead through the years but also from a silent movie I saw a while back about his rebellion at Harper's Ferry. I still think our culture refrains from considering Brown a hero because he "failed" and because he took up arms, but a movie depicion can do a lot to change or make a person's image in the culture and I imagine this new movie will allow people to see Nat Turner as a hero. Hopefully that will help people see how these issues continue and even inspire people to become heros, too, at this time of great need. My point to bring this up is to say that individuals always have a sense of heart and when these hearts join they become a movement. When the movement gets strong enough is does effect revolutionary change and is referred to as a revolution in the eyes of history, like the Sexual Revolution. Basically it is the fate of humanity, a necessary step in our evolution. It's going to happen one way or another. We can make smart decisions, and change our culture and ways enough to allow the implementation of those desisions, and make this transformation in the most responsible, intelligent, and peaceful way possible. But we have to transform our culture, one way or another, and we will.

As mush as people need to become aware of systematic injustice you can't, apparently, wake people up with just statistics and news events and information sharing, no matter how compelling the information seems to be to people who already care about the issue. People need a personal appeal to wake up their hearts. Thats one reason we want Bernie so much is that he has the heart, he has that connection with people and way to share your heart, to open up our hearts together. I noticed a post on facebook from a girl who sat behind Bernie in coach class on an airplane recently and he insisted on carrying her diaper bag for her as they walked off the plane to the terminal. That's a person who is "just like everybody else", not putting on airs, just a genuinely nice person. And we're all like that, deep down, but we end up with other "priorities" that take us away from our own hearts unless we are actively trying to b loving to people. But all of our hearts, and the heart of the world, of the universe, are calling out to each other to come together. We just sometimes need a leader, or to become a leader, to help us say that opening up is the brave, powerful, vulnerable thing to do. We need someone to set an example sometimes. Which is why we all wanted, asked for, and voted for Bernie. He set the example, to us, and we recognized that he would have the power to set the example for the whole nation and the whole world. That is what they are most afraid of, apparently, everyone waking up and demanding Justice. But it's going to happen whether they like it or not and the funny thing is, once it happens, everyone is going to like it much more. They are just holding us all backwith greed and pettiness and fear. But we are destined to break through their barriers and we will, one way or another. It's too bad that the DNC didn't let Bernie have his victory because we are losing this time when he could be in the spotlight, having this effect upon the culture. But at the same time a lot of people are turning to Jill and empowering the Green party, some estimates say 90% of us support her now. And I still hope it was all just a plan by the DNC, knowing Bernie will be the nominee but using Hillary to absorb all the attacks, and run a "tie race" to scare everyone into donating money. It seems like a big scam but if it does end in Bernie as our next President, and Tulsi as VP and first woman president, I won't even mind that it was a scam because we will be ready to make that transformation we need. It won't be that bad to have lost Bernie's voice for a couple of months if he has the biggest podium in the land for the next 8 years, and if they get a lot of money out of it, good for the DNC. But we are missing out on Bernie's passion and heart in challenging Trump in these debates. That could ave a very good effect on the culture to see someone who really cares debating against him, someone who's heart is really with the people. So maybe the surprise will happen early and Bernie will be the nominee for the second two debates. I sure hope so. Even if they couldn't raise money based upon it being a tie I still think a lot of people will donate because of the excitement of being part of this movement. If the democrats and Republicans are working together, having Bernie be the nominee might end Republican fundraising since they would know Bernie will win in a landslide but then again they are generally stupid and inclined to throw money at problems so maybe they would do that. It wouldn't be a Tie, though.

Well, even if we don't have Bernie Truth and Justice will come out one way or another. Kids have heart, naturally, because they haven't "grown up" too much and lost their idealism. Like I said it was partly Bernie's childlike nature that made him such an inspiration to people, that made us hope he would be the way to inspire others. But it's going to happen one way or another and if we can't have child-like leaders then actual children will lead us instead. As much as people need to see the injustice in the system it sometimes takes a person, a heartfelt appeal, to break through all the divisions in society that prevent us from seeing things from another point of view. Recently this leadership emerged in a young girl from Charleston. They were having a town hall meeting following the protests there and she stood up at the microphone and told everyone through tears how they need their fathers and mothers and can't live with the descriminatory oppression of the police anymore. This is the kind of thing that can be a turning point for the culture when people who have been on the sidelines of an issue actually wake up to what is going on. When people on the "other" side of the issue, of the "thin blue line", realize that we are all in this together and trying to get out, from both sides, from a divisive system that oppresses all of us. Some are oppressed in all the traditional ways but even the oppressors are victims of the system because it rots their hearts and takes them further from this place of empathy which is the foundation for the good things in life we all need.  It would be nice if the so-called "adults in the room" could realize this and we could make the decisions that are best for all of us instead of letting ego and power trips get in the way. Since they can't, at least quite yet, it falls to the kids to be the heroes we need.

I don't even know that little girl's name but I imagine she will be famous for her role in this movement and remembered to the end of time. Names are interesting. I was going to say some things about The Black Arrow but I don't want to give away too much of it, it's really fun to read. I will say that I chose an adventure story because the love themes of the romantic ones I've been reading hit too close to my heart at a tender time, but Love, of various kinds, is still a central theme. Mostly it is the Justice form of love, expressed publicly in shifting sympathies between the warring factions of Lancaster and York, with truth and justice shaking out of all the bloodshed and conflict. There are various ways which the other main charactersare flawed while the hero keeps his course set with truth and Love and keeps progressing. But the main thing I wanted to mention were the names. The first one that struck my attention was Ellis Duckworth and that name probably prompted me to return for a day to the chaos magic group on facebook. There most popular sigil is the Ellis or LS sigil, the linking sigil, and they refer to the Being of it as Ellis. So I took that as a sign and was pleased with my return to the group but don't want to spend much time there, still. Then the main name that stood out was Joanna which was featured prominently in the part of the book I was reading at the same time that it was rumored or announced that Gaga's new album will be titled Joanne after her relative who passed away, whom honors with her team before every show. Then there is a Lord Foxham who reminds me of our band Foxzen. We're about to release our second album, I just really want to make the music for my song "Made Me A Monster," to include with it. It's my best tribute to Gaga, so far, and we have so many other fantastic songs on the album I want them to all be together.

As I was finishing this I I had an insight about reverse psychology. Even if people are "on equal footing," and there is not authority being rebelled against, even if the person making the decision knows that the other person is using reverse psychology, it still works. Why? Because there is this idea of "winning", of "who got what they wanted?" in every situation. Even if it doesn't really matter at all, or even if it is a major decision, reverse spsychology can work and I think it is for this subtle reason: there is this idea about who wins a decision, about who gets "their way." If you use reverse psyhology, even if the person knows you are doing it, lying about your preference, it still works because you are surrendering at the very beginning. You are saying "you get to win the 'who decided?' point, getting what 'you want', not what I want." It's somehow less important that you are doing what the other person wants if the "score" shows that you made the choice. And it's doubly ironic because of course "you" are the one making the choice, it's your choice to make. But somehow falling into revers psychology is asserting, on the surface, that you are the one making the decision even if you are actually taking the other's advice. It's a way of taking advice without percieving the other person as "superior" to you. Of course no one is intrinsically "superior" to anyone else, we all have different traits, but the idea of hierarchy is so strong in our culture that even these small, subtle reliefs from it, being willing to be the "wrong" one just to get the right outcome, can really influence our behavior.

The idea about using reverse psychology is just to say look what you can accomplish by putting your ego aside, by being willing to be seen as wrong in order to reach the right outcome. We are such a traffic jam of ego that just removing one, your own, can free up the space for everyone else to sort it out. This is why saying "I'm sorry" can be so effective. It's just admitting that you regret something, that in some way you could have done something better for the other person. This is saying you respect something about them that had seemed overlooked. How powerful this can be! We live in a world where everyone feels put down, like no one appreciates them enough. If you can just say "you aren't being appreciated for how great you are, and I was one of the ones doing it!" you break through this whole system and say "hey, look! We can look at each other in a new way." As I typed that Tony and Gaga were singing "They All Laughed" and it's the same thing. All of this world of love and art are what has been denied and ignored but it is the real world, real life, and it is emerging so that it can't be ignored and repressed anymore. The same goes for all forms of love, art, and magic. It's just true, it has to come out. And sometimes, without realizing it, we are standing in the way of it. Of course I am guilty, in my way, of doing the same thing I accuse Hillary of: facing the right way, maybe, but not moving fast enough, still being in the way. I'm destined to be an artist but I hold myself back, as I've detailed in this gagablog. But I'm ready to free myself and it just comes from letting this ego go and becoming the new me. it's a little scary but mostly it's exciting, especially as our music keeps getting better and I'm increasingly inspired to write stories and paint and draw, too. And I'm back to my ald ambition I had as a young child to make new styles of card games, as well. Steve Jackson games have recently helped encourage me to get back to that idea and I feel like i have some interesting game constructions to contribute. I know Eurogames are popular for not having "winners" but I don't know much more about them other than I should mention that in this context.

I was going to say "All things being equal" is an interesting phrase to end this with. In a way, all things are equal, or should be. Everyone should be considered equal under the law and a law that plays favorites is unnatural and will need to evolve or be swept away. But when "all things are equal" then the result of a contest is either Luck or Fate. In games, like in making unimportant decisions where someone is using reverse psychology, it doesn't matter who "wins," it's just for fun. But in life, setting everything up into winners and losers is evil. Politically, socially, economically, there is nothing wrong with going for a tie, where everyone is equal, and everyone is considered a winner. If some people who resent losing their previous "winner' status resent this and feel like losers that would be their own problem but I think the vast majority of people would be too happy enjoying the fact that everyone was happy to be worried about their previous petty concerns. Just like I think if food was free people wouldn't overeat because they would be able to overcome those childhood traumas of needing food, realizing that more food was always available. I feel this way about all goods. They can all be free, no one will take more than they can really use because they won't want to be seen as trying to be above everyone else. There will plenty to go around for everyone to have plenty, especially if people aren't wasting most of the stuff leaving it empty somewhere waiting for the particular holiday they use it, locked in a bank, and such as that.

A tie means a kind of equality. There is nothing wrong with a tie, in fact, in many ways it is better than a winner and a loser. Games might be the only thing where this is not true: in every other aspect of life we should treat each other equally. As far as how much justice someone gets, or how many votes someone gets, it  shou;ld always be a tie. Nobody should be favored by the system. When they are, that is where the system needs to adjust. We have stark inequality within America and also between nations. If we merely seek to end that state by digging deep and extracting the roots of injustice we can do it. The idea of valuing a tie, of seeking to end the state of favoritism and winners and losers, can be the path to doing this. This could be an application of the buddhist "middle path" idea as well.

The important thing to consider is that we are all tied together in systems. If we insist on winners and losers we will pass suffering around the web we are all part of. If instead we can value the idea of having a tie, of finishing together and not getting ahead of each other, we can all progress.without the suffering. And we will progress faster and in more vibrant and surprising ways when we include everyone.Willona just made a joke about the debate inspiring a new special at the boutique, "cut low, making all sorts of promises you aren't gonna keep!" When the aldarman asked why Florida doubts his sincerity she says she doesn't doubt it, she'sjust never seen it. Now he just kicked them out when JJ wouldn't give a speech for him to help him get the youth vote, for YAM, "Young Artists for Me." Sorry to squeeze this in but it reminds me of Bernie at the DNC, being pressured to give the supporting speech by some threat. This is the whole problem of people using their power to abuse people. This is what they were getting justice for in The Black Arrow and what we are seeking justice for in the #blacklivesmatter movement.

Just like all we want is equality in the feminst movement and movement for gay rights, all we want is equality under the law and in the voting booth. Even with Citizens United in place the corporations still have to cheat to subvert the will of the people. But things are changing. I usually don't mention my personal life too much unless I just can't resist it, I'm so proud of my lover. Her new Tarot, the Modern Spellcaster's Tarot, just came out and it's awesome. The first review I read of it was great, too, from www.queerstreettarot.com and it praised the way the cards show many different kinds of people and ways of loving in a casual way. It says it is the first tarot produced by a mainstream company that is inclusive in this way. I believe that being the first in this way is a sign of the new era that is arriving where all love is accepted and celebrated. That's how I've always felt about Stefani, Gaga, that she is introducing the era of love as the Goddess of Love. I know all of this is run by art and magic. I'm so proud to be part of this milestone for all of us but it makes me that much more excited to contribute my own. In the same way Gaga has always inspired me but the idea that I could somehow impress her, or have that influence on the world, when I get into that feeling, makes me capable of art and music beyond my expectations and previous limitations and activates my dreams.

I feel like it is part of Justice that my intention to succeed is not about being above other people but going to create more ties around the world, more opportunities for people who need them, wherever I can find them, to promote the most equality in the world. I think more and more people will share that goal until we can eliminate the suffering that comes from inequality in the world, especially as more people are helped out from under the worst effects of the current system and can reach their full potential.

PS: That episode of Good Times ended with JJ doing the speech praising the Alderman in order to keep their apartment, since he had threatened to have them evicted. But JJ ends up telling the truth instead, calling him out for being crooked. Afterwards the alderman tells them he will evict them but when the crpowd loves it, thinking it is a roast, he says he wants JJ on the campaign with him and tells Florida "Don't worry, ss long as I'm Alderman you will always live in the projects." To me these Two Sides of Alderman Fred are like our "choice" in the election. One is threatening to throw us out, make life worse, and the other promises to keep everything the same. We just need a new direction and actual progress. I've decided to focus more on art, on my music. When the next show, the Jeffersons, came on, it starts with George saying "I'm a thousandaire. And I could be a millionaire if I could get some publicity." That reminds me I need to finish this album and start getting it out there. Of course we are only centaires, pennyaires, so far, but I feel the magic in the music and know it promises wonderful things for the future. The Russian guest just told the journalist "Keep on truckin" as he left.
