Oz Magic: Perfect Synchro 4 - gagablog 160

I was just talking with my lover about becoming amazing fiction writers and writing fairy tales. I mentioned the Perfect Synchro  in the last gagablog - catching the frisbee at the peak of his leap - that inspired Ultimate Frisbee 50 years ago, and other versions from sports, as an analogy for the same mentality, being in the zone, for a writer. It reminded me of another news report, of a baseball player hitting a walk-off grand slam, but an "Ultimate Grand Slam" - I think it is called, though I hadn't noticed that connection, Ultimate, until now - and he hit one the other day and was on the radio for it because the last one to be hit was like 1938 or something.

Then I came inside, mildly considering writing one of these to talk about Perfect Synchro /The Zone from the athlete /writer analogy  - how to manifest a Perfect World - and turned on Antenna TV and it was the Benson episode about holding a seance for the old Governor who is haunting the mansion. This is another way to discuss Synchro Magic that will be easy if I stay focused, but it convinced me to go ahead and write this again while I have an hour or so.

But mostly I want to write fairy tales myself - I was reminded by facebook of a fairy tale I wrote and shared a year ago and it really inspired me and encouraged me to write more. Then last night I shared a story about Verizon being greedy and restricting phone access for firefighters during the recent California fires and Facebook kept censoring it and removing it as "spam" when I shared it, even suspending my account until i verified things as if I had been "hacked," the first time. This makes me conclude that the best things I can do are My Own - but I'm so grateful for these reminders from the world.

My lover is writing fiction and I'm so proud and happy for her, like a world that only she can find and she's starting to discover it. Our conversation reminded me of that news story, about the baseball player. He said he had to "always think of himself as the best" - to have that attitude and approach "Unless you happen to be the Good Fairy, Dwayne, then you can turn this into a gown and this pumpkin into a coach!" - Shirley on What's Happening!!!, just now. It's the same winning attitude that many, if not most, star athletes have some version of. Star athletes even have some performances that are better, more impressive or legendary than others - and every athlete, at every level, has a chance to have a taste of that. You know what I'm talking about I don't want to get too much into the details  - there are all sorts of language for it, examples of it. Mostly you know that everyone feels it, watching it on TV or at a game, everyone feels the perfection of the perfect pass, the perfect catch, the perfect shot.

Its not perfect "in itself" - its a perfect culmination of everything, the wind, the cheers, the attitude, the ability, the effort, the play - everything. But it's everything coming together - like magic.

A star player expects, envisions, knows these things can happen, has the feeling and beliefs that make them happen - and of course they have to do things, to play. But having that belief, experience, and expectation makes it more common, and just playing, giving it a chance, IS a chance to have experiences like this, to feel like, then become, a star.

The same is true with every activity we undertake, especially writing and art, playing music or playing on the stage - the more you believe in yourself - and the magic that makes everything come together - the more you get into it and the Better you become, the better "you" and magic makes it, for everyone, through the role you play.

Trump is kind of like a bad version of this - this is how bad it can get if you believe in yourself So Much but most of what you believe is Wrong - you might have the whole world to disprove you. "Ceasar Chavez did it, Martin Luther King did it, and there's nothing wrong with it" Roger just said to Shirley   - but I don't want to get bogged down in that, I want to say Good Things. "How's the fish today?" "How do you think it is, Dead!" - Shirley, to the bank guy who got her fired, after she gets her job back.

There was discussion on the Mandela Effect group about the grateful dead and I was going to say the acid could be a reason for a lot of these effects but my comment got cut off by the censorship episode. I do think it's important to mention, here, to credit the psychedelic and musical agents of magic that have this same effect. And the synhronicity of blocking that actual comment from going through and the immediate experience of being cybercensored, even though it was about "something else."

The Zone experience that athletes, and video game players, etc, too, lets face it - experience requires a belief in it but also enhances and expands that belief to others. Amazing things happen in games that you just have to see, but when you do you feel the same magic. It works.

And the same is true for writing, you have to at least think you are a writer, you have something to write, to even get in the game. But if you just try you discover things in the world of ideas, of words, of magic - you've reached out to meet it and will find it when you do.

And just like the Ultimate player, the first catch that inspired the whole game, finding and feeling that moment, and expressing it some way, opens that world, unlocks it for you and for everyone, opens up whole worlds of possibility.

That's why "Just Do It" is an effective phrase, from Nike, named for the Goddess of Victory. Whatever you do will be met and rewarded by magic. Bad stuff will even be rewarded, but ultimately defeated, because faith in the power of Good Things, and joining with them, is where true Victory lies. We all have the ability to sense good things we can do, we just need to overcome our self-doubt and fears that hold us back.

In "today's" (rerun) episode of Benson they know there was Ghost of a past Governor haunting the mansion -they knew because of incidents that happen that he is upset about something, he keeps making things happen: knocking a picture off the wall (I tuned in midway through.) When they hold the seance multiple things happen in synch with what they say to show the ghosts presence: Window blows open, lightning strikes, Klaus goes into a trance, they say"contact us" and the phone rings- but they still doubt and get frustrated and quit and contact is not made. But when the ghost shuts a door, I think, and makes the water tank bubble Benson just starts talking to it, asks it to have a seat. The Governor comes in and he has him take a seat, too - not there, where the ghost is sitting. He starts off by telling him he doesn't believe in him - but if he IS there he wants to talk with him. He intuits the ghost is upset that a park will be named after his successor, who might have poisoned him. So the solution is to just call it Governor's park. At the end of the episode you believe all is okay - and the ghost was real. Benson also tells the ghost to "talk it over with his people" - a funny "government" joke but also suggesting a Ghost World, not just lonely ghosts here and there.

The whole reason Benson, and the audience, come to accept the Ghost as real is because his actions keep synching up with what they are saying, his way of getting their attention when they are saying something about him, to respond. This is always happening, whether it is Ghosts or other magical beings, even each other - it's the Magic world.

This Ghost World is something I've been writing a book about -aliens, angels and fairies, too - but the simplest way to put it is that all of these magical worlds are real - all part of the same magical world - and we are too. But we are the ones insisting on being outsiders, and live in a fake, non-magical world, supposedly, but magic is ready to break out and take us to the Real World, and will, if we just go for it.

 And those who deny it the most, who act as if money is everything instead of the other way around, that people and life and nature and relationships are everything - money is a tool that can be used to make all of those things better, for everyone, or can be used wrongly to only make things better for some. That "magic" works to make more money, but the real magic, of sharing, will eventually take over and change those structures, those fortunes, and all we have to do is believe in that and act accordingly, that frees us from the non-magical world by letting us out of this world of lies, and we find each other, and worlds of help, waiting for us when we take a step, action, or belief in that direction.

I hope this will encourage you to consider the next time you notice or feels some magic and see what it can mean to you.

The Ultimate idea  is that a world of peace, harmony, and happiness, Oz, is waiting for us, sending us messages and messengers, even ourselves, to take us there, and it happens in so many ways. Gaga is one of my favorite examples of this, but I've gotten out of touch, myself, and with myself - I know I need to write fairy tales. But I had to come to believe in myself again, and maybe don't need others to validate me as much as I need to recognize myself "People like you, you're gonna make it!" someone just said to Nell on Gimme a Break as a wrote that.

But actually writing stories, making songs and art, actually going through with it and expressing it to the world, gives people a way to like you - "If you would have stayed with the Doo Wop Girls, you wouldn't be here for us to love." Sam just told Nell - but opening up the magic world of music and art, in the way only You can, actually makes more worlds to love, opens up the world of Love to More people.

Thanks, Gaga, for doing that for us, I'm eager to follow and help in the same way  - there is still so much division and suffering it becomes hard to believe in things. I believe in a world where everything is free, everyone provided for. "You seem so far away" or somethings, the Doo Wop Girls sang as I wrote that - it DOES seem far away but then again its both "inevitable" and necessary - and really we only need to get rid of a few things to make it happen, War, Greed, Hate, etc. It's simple - and while I can't just Get Rich and Give it to everyone, just like that, I can reach out, in the magical way I know, through fairy tales, art, and music, and bring us all closer by getting closer to the Magic World, myself, and more connected to the rest of the world, too.

We can all do that. We grow up hopefully with our needs met, for a time, then are disappointed and have to learn to expect disappointment and denial and rejection and all of these things and build our psyches around those methods and defenses. But there is  magical world, and the future, where we are not held back by those concerns. We can get tastes of it, and do through synchronicity and other simple, natural magic, and we can go for it, when we do "would you like anything else, like a bread crumb?" Mary just asked on 227  - and we Will find the Magic World waiting to show us, all of us, the way in, the way out of suffering and hardship. We make it real by believing in it, and believe in ourselves by experiencing that reality, in every way we can - between us in relationships, through inspiration and fairy guidance in art and imagination, in performance and activism and expressions, even on social media, though quests for justice, through honoring the dead, through alien contact and angelic guidance, channeling, everything in every direction that all leads to Ulitmate Goodness: The Magical World. The World we are in but let ourselves, and others, get caught up in a net of lies, a false world, instead. We might get caught in it again, but we always have Ways Out.

In the abundant world, the Magical World, it's no surprise to ask and you shall receive. But we are shocked or surprised by even the smallest examples of Grace - if we really believe in them and go for them we will find they lead to greater and greater abundance - because the lack of abundance is just the network of lies "You want to borrow a wife?" Jack just asked Mr Roper. Earlier Mrs. Roper told him she is a homemaker not a housewife - that housewife implies the woman is her husband's possession, a sexual toy. He says he can see why she wouldn't like that and she says "I'd Love it!" This is the basic irony of possessions - we think they make us happy but they don't. We want connection, especially belonging, which is the kind of "possession" we crave - sharing. And we CAN live in a world where enough is shared for everyone, where everyone belongs. We can believe in it as a world, to make it happen, we can believe in it for ourselves, in our own relationships, and for ourselves and our artistic, magical natures, ourselves and within ourselves - but going within, into imagination, is the way into a larger world for everyone. Because we all have goodness inside us but we've been trained that there is "not enough" - all we have to do is believe in it, believe in magic, and you find more. You find more by sharing what you have, by expressing your ideas, and realizing the magical connections that draw us all into the same abundance.

We're trained to accept deprivation in a way that is so deep we do it to ourselves. Yes, it is necessary to have basic needs met to even be able to write or draw or sing - and everyone having everything they need is not only possible, imagine how much art it can liberate? - but we can meet those needs for ourselves and take that chance to go for something even greater, something magical, that can lead to make it easier for others, or even to challenge the systems that keep folks deprived.

it's just our best challenge to the system is within ourselves, to find something to express, and a way to get it out there. To do this we have to get over the way we have internalized deprivation and "I knew she felt like she was holding people back" they just said on the dental implant commercial - and liberate ourselves, from ourselves, in order to best help others. Synchronicities are reminders that this magical world cares about us, is paying attention to us, and the more we respond the more we see and believe and can do, the more we become the Stars we are destined for.

Oz Magic: Perfect Synchro 3 - gagablog 159

Synchronicity is magic everyone experiences, naturally. We can ignore it but if we take it as an invitation to more magic, it is. We can get into it - the more we look for the more we see. We can accept that there IS a magical world, or Heaven, or Buddha-field, or fairyland, calling to us, waiting for us but also helping us get there "I'm sure he gave up hours ago" - Rose "You've obviously never been on a date with me - ever see Dr Zhivago? (someone) went all the way across Siberia for (someone)" - Sondra on 227 just now.

we can take it the wrong way, we can get the wrong messages from synchronicity, putting our own interpretations into it or worse, taking someone elses who is trying to manipulate us. But the secret is the opposite to that - to get into it in a way that follows the magic. Putting yourself into the magical world  - by believing more in what it is, in being able to discover it - not being able to tell it what you want it to be. (Though the converse of THIS is that art is your magic to kind of do that, fashion fairyland or the part of it that best suits you, finding it, revealing it, sharing it through expressions)

I call it Oz, the fairyland of the future that includes and nourishes us all. I believe in it and believe I have a role, we all have roles, we can play to help us all get there. "which language do you want to speak today? 'I love the surfing and sights/sites in Mexico but what I love most is the human connection" - on the Babble translation commercial just now. So magic, the simple magic of synchronicity, is a reminder of this world, staying tuned to it always reveals more. And its just not about "going there on your own" - although that is wonderful to do and you do it through art, music, writing, love, experiencing nature / life, or others art or beings - but its also about taking everyone there, making the world real for everyone in the whole world.

I just got in a conversation on facebook in which the person linked a clip from My Dinner With Andre titled "We're Bored" just before the waiter offers dessert. He says there are "worlds" within this world that are The Future, preserve humanity despite automatonization of "everyone" - and this is the basic idea, echoed from a movie I saw as a kid, linked an hour ago.

I've been wanting to explore the "synchronicities" - or signals I got from the radio, etc - that I mentioned last time. I could write these everyday, and if I was quicker with them I would - there are just more and more things to mention, even as I type this. But I took some more notes and can hopefully just be clear about things, for once.

Most recently an episode of What's Happening!!! reframed a lot of what I have been trying to talk about. The guys were talking about a new TV show about 3 guys in Watts - like us! - and they want to write a script: The first idea, Marvin Howard got braces and was embarassed and didn't leave his room. Dee says the Brady Bunch already did it two years ago. The mentioned a baked good made with salt instead of sugar and Dee said Happy Days did it last month.  - This is basically the "life imitates art" and vice versa idea but also a form of synchronicity. Then another form of synchronicity: They decide all they need to do is write about their lives, things that could happen to them. They say "write this down before you forget it" which I took as a magical rule. Then they say he should split the money for the script with them, for they were his inspiration - they do hash out the idea between them, brainstorming together, but Roger is "the writer." This basic notion - including your inspiration - is the essence of transforming the world, changing everything. If people were paid not only a living wage to produce things but the "creators" were trying to share and honor as many forms of inspiration as possible - well, there is just enough to go around, going all directions like that, that everyone has enough, quickly. Roger tells them Tolstoy did not give the Russian army anything for inspiring War and Peace and Rerun says they are communists and don't care about money - but he's a patriotic American, pay him. That says it all, again, in another way, and reflects other stuff going on, now.

But too much is going on to get into more details, especially if I want to detail some of the last stuff. But, since then, a few days ago, Paul Manafort has been found guilty. I think even Michael Cohen was just admitting he committed felonies - at Trump's direction - and it seems like a turning point. I've been saying " #endthedeathpenaltynow the life you save could be your own" to draw their attention to issues that could become important to them if they face execution for treason - best way to avoid it just Happens to also be the right thing. I was so hurried last time that I mentioned that the Pope had come out completely against the death penalty - a good development to free "The Church" from the evils of the right wing platform - but I failed to mention that the report had just come out - from Philidelphia or Pittsburgh, or Minnesota?? - about the thousands of sex abuse victims and 300 bishops and clergy responsible and responsible for covering it up - and Pope Francis did write a letter addressing this, yesterday, but has not really addressed it, as none of us seem to be -I shared a meme of "Christians protesting the Baphomet statue" photos above "Christians protesting sex abuse scandals" with photos of empty streets "At least I get a lotta bites" - Sondra "One of them must have been a vampire" - Mary, 227 just now - maybe they are vampires and cant be photographed.

One idea is that "justice" can't catch up with the abusers because the statute of limitations had run out - surely not on all cases, for all victims, but maybe a large number. So they are talking about changing the law to extend the limit. This is ONE way Justice CAN "catch up" even in an unjust system. The same principle - if we can't stop your evil with the laws we have, maybe we need a new law? - can be seen at work around Trump, now - yesterday he said he had the power to take over the investigation into himself, if he wanted to - which is what he probably thought he was doing when he appointed Sessions / may be trying to do since there was a report Sessions would "take it over." Everything they do, including Guilliani saying "Truth isn't truth" about the "Perjury Trap" of getting Trump to interview, just makes them look more guilty. I was scrolling through my gagablogs and saw the one titled "America is not America" earlier today and thought of this Truth isn't truth line - the only reason Truth is not the Truth is because of Them. The Liars. The only reason America is not America is because of Them, The Fascists.

That edition, "America is not America", was from a year or two ago but was about the NFL protests of police brutality  - which is turning into a huge education curve for much of America. The fascists are just wrong, The Truth is against them - the truth is with us, Team Round World.

There was another example of this in the next episode I took notes from, today - from "What's Happening Now!!!" that came on after the writer one. It was also about Roger as a writer  - he tells his mom about that famous story about Earnest Hemingway: "He walked into a bar/hotel with a stack of papers and a pen and 12 hours later he came out with a complete book." "Which book was that?" "The Bible  - he ripped off the hotel." This had some connotations for me - I like to joke that Im a real narcissist and Trump is just a poser, and prove it because he said his book is second to the Bible. I will write better. And the idea of Trump as "jesus" and the bible being ripped off from a Hotel - but above all this deep magical connections is just the idea that you can create, create a whole world, on any day - any day or night you go for it.

This episode gets complicated with Roger talking to the producer who tells him to accept that the shows character, living in the ghetto, can get $20/week allowance. Roger says in reality they would get only a few dollars or have to get a job. The producer tells him "America doesn't want to know that the ghetto is poor." He says "But I thought you wanted me to tell the truth?" and the producer tells him they can tell the truth -  just lie a little. "Say what?!?!" Roger says and the producer is like, "yes, that's the stuff, we just want more lingo to give it authenticity" etc. So Roger backs out and the producer reconsiders, maybe do it his way. Then a script switch, his script for his wife's report on homeless women to get funding for a social program, and that is what they want to make the movie about.  - I didn't pay close attention but it had these same themes: The Truth, how liars and oppressors want to change it, but how they can become tools of liberation by acting with integrity, chance, and goodwill, coming together - like synchronicity.

This is the first time I have ever looked back over my blog to write another one, that I know of - I feel like I am taking it seriously that it is important to mention these things, now - because it opens up even more to happen, to mention - it weaves a story between stories to get more of us further into storyland, fairyland.

I said I would talk more about Qanon later, but I don't wanna get too into it all, just to emphasize that, since one of the things I heard them say was to take "coincidences" more seriously - that all of their theories are based upon the idea that certain coincidences "In this book even chocolate chip cookies are sexy... I was walking down a lane eating a blueberry muffin and saw a white unicorn with a tulip in its mouth" - Chrissy on 3's company just now  - and one they mention is that Q is the 17th letter in the alphabet so when Trump said he was in Washington 17 times before becoming President and kept saying it, apparently, they took it as a cue that Q is real, etc.

I'm not saying "that's just coincidence" - one reason could be that Trump is actively promoting the Q conspiracy - maybe it was the same radio program talking about this mentioning that conspiracy theorist nooks of the Right Wing are his main base, his core voters, so he wants to always be promoting some conspiracy or another. It could be coincidence for a magical reason, even - and something Trump is completely unaware of, part of that long list. In which case it is more "synchronicity." But Magic provides synchronicity - I don't know much of the Q claims, but the idea that Hillary could be the "real" target of the Russia investigation fits in with a notion Ive been saying for over a year, that BOTH of them are... and the "tools" Q is using to convince them are similar to what I'm talking about here - following coincidences. A big difference is / could be Agenda - but again I don't know much about Q. - from the Star Trek perspective, maybe. It does sound like "my kinda stuff" in some ways - except I doubt he's trying to help them into a magical world of freedom and ease - maybe we'll see.

But true freedom and ease are for EVERYONE. So that's usually how you can tell, if someone is doing something for everyone or only "certain people"

Some of the things I wanted to get more details on from last time: Aretha Franklin died and in the interview they replayed I felt like a central issue I have with the World was explained, exemplified: they were talking about her dad and all the women who wanted to hook up with him every day, every night. They had just mentioned that he was a nationally famous preacher who toured and had records and radio shows - my first thought was "thats rock star status, get a lot of action that way." Then they started talking about it, all the women who wanted him - seemed like a good motivation to spread the Good News. But of course I'm skeptical, detecting hypocrisy - did he famously preach famous messages to millions about being pro-sex, how good sex is for you and how much it helps spirituality? I'm guessing not! And maybe I'm underestimating him except I have to examples of my suspicion being confirmed from the same interview. When asked about singing gospel and if her upbringing in the church influenced her, having a preacher dad, she said it gave her the spiritual lessons to be a good lady. Maybe she didn't mean "chaste" or prudish but at least to me, with my understanding of Christian upbringing, since my folks were ministers, too, I hear that aspect. And when asked she said she was aware of all the women chasing or hooking up with her dad - but they never talked about it "He was single." So it was okay. Like things your parents do "are" okay if that is how you are raised, at least until you have other examples. I'm not saying it WASN'T okay for him to sleep with all those women - I'm saying it shows she was raised with shame about sex, typical "Christian" bullshit - because she didn't ever talk with him about it. And that, to me, is the crux of evil, how the oppressors most derive their power to oppress us: stealing the power and magic of sex by using shame. Would it be "okay" for her, in her own mind, to sleep with as many men as her dad slept with women, if she was single? I don't know, maybe I'm underestimating her, maybe she did. I'm not trying to be on he case or get her mad at me, I'm just talking about how deeply this stuff traumatizes us, all of us, but I can relate to the upbringing, I think, I just responded differently, by trying to become sex-positive in a revolutionary way. If her dad was preaching openly about the glories of sex with lots of people maybe he could have changed the course of history, changed American culture, enough that I wouldn't have to write this. Probably hundreds or thousands of preachers could do that, save the world that way, by overcoming hypocrisy. But fuck em, too slow.

she was talking about "Respect" and I know she must be an empowering figure to millions - I don't want to take anything away from that just point this out: She said they added the "Sock it to me" line, that it was something the girls were saying to the fellas in those days, that after they sang it, Laugh In picked it up and it became a big thing. But when she said what it meant - the girls would say it to the fellas, sock it to me this, or sock it to me that - nothing sexual. Well, I'm sure SOMEtimes it was meant sexually. Maybe that isn't the real thing it meant - but why does she have to say that? What would be wrong with it being sexual? That girls say it? This is the sexism double standard that is at the heart of sexual repression.

And relates to the other thing I noted from the radio the other day, the question of invisibility versus flying, which superpower would you have? And how women tend to say invisiblity and men tend to say flight. This seems to be a reflection of gender norms in society, that women are trained to be ashamed of themselves, and of sex, while men are trained to "show off." You could say that I'm obsessed for bringing sex into it but something about magic, something about people, a question like this can open us up to the magical world, to talking about magic - even sex. And plenty of folks in the program mentioned it. One said he would want to fly becuase he expected there would be flight groupies, girls who were impressed by him for being able to fly and want to sleep with him. I'm not saying it wouldn't happen that way but it also made me wonder, if so and so, you or me, or someone else, was able to fly, just all the sudden one day, would it lead to more sex? Maybe, even if you weren't trying. But I guess the reasons people dont want to have sex with each other seem to have enough to fill the list without including "can't fly."

Another man mentioned being invisible to watch girls shower. He said he thought it would become depressing - to be invisible, to hear what people said about you, not be able to tell anyone your power or they wouldn't trust you -and watch girls shower. He said that would be depressing, to know what folks really thought of you, isolating, to not be able to tell anyone your secret, and make you feel like a disgusting pervert, watching girl after girl shower. He then said you could tell yourself to stop, its not right, stop watching them shower, but there are always more, different girls - with the power he couldn't imagine being able to stop himself. he decided it was all a bad idea, and the program said he went through a trypical process of reconsidering and moralizing and changing his answer.

But a woman answering said she thought invisibility was the only honest answer, that if people were really honest they couldn't resist that - to get into movies and airplanes, to steal stuff, and "to watch celebrities have sex." Maybe it doesn't say anything about men and women, just that one man and this one woman, that he said "watch girls shower" and she said "watch celebrities have sex" - but he felt that should be shameful and she felt we should be able to admit that this is what we would all really want to do - to me this is the essence of sexual repression and double-standard - the evil myth that "Sex is Bad," It goes like this: Sex is bad but boys are supposed to like it, do it, brag about it, secretly feel bad about it, guilty for it, etc. Sex is bad but girls are supposed to put up with it and have no personal desires so it doesnt get worse and be as outwardly ashamed of it and encourage that shame in others as possible - and men are supposed to encourage that, too, except in a pecking order amongst themselves - you want to demean all sexual experience other than men you look up to.

Invisibilty doesn't let you have sex with anyone, unless they are into ghosts / you - just enjoy, visually, "presently - live in person," the sexual world we have all been "restricted" from in evil ways by this world. So we have porn on the internet - people can watch thousands of girls shower and celebrities have sex, and surely more and more as time goes on - but there is some desire to "be there" even if they can't see you? or a desire to be "present" instead of just watching a recording?

I think the idea that we have lots of porn on the internet - you can watch through a screen, recorded or even live - but people STILL fantasize about being invisible and being "there" to physically spy on people - this is a symptom of sexual repression of the whole culture. Would the same people, having this desire, but not able to turn invisible, take the simple steps of going online and seeing if anyone wants them to watch them have sex? Where does the invisibility come in, except from shame?

The host of the program on superheroes made a conclusion that wanting to fly, "male", was "hoping for the best of yourself" - to show off. And invisibility, "Female", responded to wanting to hide, being afraid the worst of ourselves would be revealed.  This is the result of the double-standard of shame, especially when applied to sex: flying and invisibility as "Freudian:" being able to show off, be byond others limits, and being able to hide, disappear, or not be there. During sex? Well, while no one is like "I wanna be invisible because more people want to have sex with me if they can't see me!" - really visual stimulation is something most folks enjoy as part of sex. But if you are socialized that "sex is bad", and you, as a girl, must hide your sexual being, then invisibility becomes attractive.

There was more of interest in that part of the program, the man who would fly to Paris - why not be a superhero? Isn't that kind of a superhero, Going to Paris Man?  - and how very few folks would fight crime, mostly saying one power isn't enough - but would be enough to escape sexual repression - in some ways. At least to talk about imagining it. To me this is one way that sex is already one of our superpowers. Sex and Love are some of the most magical forces and worlds there are. Women are excluded from the world of sex in a way that men are supposed to be included, accepted - but two men enjoying their "pass" as men to be sexual -with each other  -is still the most taboo of all things that shouldn't be taboo. So it's not like anyone is actually included, connected, to the Sex is Good world, in our culture - unless they find it for themselves, with others, in opposition to social strictures. yes, plenty of folks find love within social strictures - but may still suffer from these repressions in their own personal lives and we ALL suffer from the culture of it.

I just found my notes as I continue after a nice day and saw that the host of the show said flight represented what we hope to be and invisibility represented what we fear we are - just taken sexually the male/flight idea suggest that men are trained to hope to be someone, sexually, and women are trained to fear and deny and hide their sexuality - what is an example of a male show off sexual role? Rock Star? Athlete? Actor? Model? Buff Guy?  - there are plenty of them. Are there the same Woman Who Has Sex A Lot positive roles, in our society? Aretha's dad was a slutty preacher - in a good way! - but somehow decades later it seems like she would have shame if "sock it to me" was seen sexually - I'm not criticizing her just sympathizing that in this culture, raised with this double standard, sexual repression is traumatizing to all of us. And we unintentionally replicate it if we don't work to root out all the causes of it. "I've seen too many TV movies with Joanna Kearns to not know how these things turn out" - Corky just now on Murphy Brown about why she won't pursue a sexual harassment complaint after being pressured into sleeping with her boss.

I just had to mention the double standard, and was reminded of a recent story about Madonna's tribute to Aretha at an award ceremony in which she apparently mostly talked about herself. I'm not going off on a Madonna tangent but I thought it ironic, reflective, that I keep talking about this when there is much better stuff to talk about Aretha Franklin - but this is the part that fit into this theme, for me.

And she said something about how you could tell which women were interested in her dad - sitting in the front row in short tight dresses, etc. This fits with the next part of the Superhero program, about a girl named Zora who made herself into a superhero by following her dreams and lists she made of skills she would need to develop. It was very interesting for various reasons related to this topic: making dreams real by following them, by writing things down, creating yourself and stories for yourself. The girl diligently developed all of these skills to live out her dreams as an action star, in real life, but one thing I noticed was the reporter kept talking about how hot she was and how sexy she dressed. This stood out for two reasons: one was during the most magical part of the story - her tattoo "I knew he was a scoundrel - Anyone who makes cellular phone calls in the stall of the men's room is capable of anything" - Jim on Murphy Brown just now. Her tattoo - part of the reason she always wore tank tops was to show it off. It was a crystal ball, or orb, that she had seen in her dreams and was what guided her to live them out - her dreams were all about being a superhero, action stuff, fighting with guns or swords or lightning shooting out of her hands - but I dont think she did that one. Anyway, this was the most magical part of the story, "pure" magic of a dream orb that guided her to gain powers. But even this part the reporter says "all men would ask her about it and when she explained many would propose marriage." Its the radio but you get the idea that she is really hot - but why is that still so important? The other time it stood out was when she said Zora had done all this study but had isolated from other people to learn all these skills and develop herself. After she had made herself the hero type she envisioned she "discovered" the power of lipstick and sexy dresses, according to the reporter. "Make-up" is one of the first kinds of Magic and has that power, but it was all mentioned as if it was the most impressive thing about her - I don't mean that this is sexist but that we are so sexist that we have to dance around this, hint at it, instead of just saying it. She did use her powers of seduction in the only incident they described. I guess I mention it because the story was interesting because she was a Superhero -self-made - and the exciting stuff she did to be like an action star are unique and impressive - yet she is still presented as having the superpower of Hotness. How many girls who have the superpower of hotness are NOT respected for that, like, at all? Like how everyone whined when Kylie Jenner was called "self-made" -not even as if all her money was from beauty, that her only skill was hotness, but the idea that whatever she got for that was still "not really her"

This reminds me of, just the other day, the radio program about Descartes Daughter.  - If I didn't make my point about Zora, or the girls in the front row at church, it was that sexiness is a superpower we act like is for villians but its totally for heroes. Its a heroic deed to help turn the Sex is Bad culture into a more natureal, magic, fairy Sex is Good world.

Descartes Daughter is a story I'd never heard before: a sea captain hears sounds from a cabin, then from within a box, of a passenger (Descartes?) and when he opens it he discovers an automaton so lifelike he freaks out and throws it overboard, or the sailors do in other versions, possibly because she is bad luck for the ship, or because she started dancing around on deck in another version. They spoke of "the uncanny valley"  - the weird feeling of seeing something so close to human, but not, talked about the Turing Test / Imitation game, Blade Runner, etc - and mentioned how popular automatons were hundreds of years ago, like it would put our stuff to shame, in some ways. They had a lot to say about philosophy and what stood out to me is the idea that he originated the belief in "two bodies" mind and body, and also that bodies are machines. I guess he said we were divinely crafted machines but intuited that we would be able to get closer and closer in approximations to ourselves as we advanced. There are so many interesting directions to go with this but I want to mention as much as I can about different parts of it, quickly. One aspect I missed the radio program for part but it seemed to say that the origin of the story was a daughter he had from an affair with a woman in Vienna, I think. Im not sure if she was "lost" or just denied, "hidden", but the idea was that the shame of extramarital sex / somehow hiding the real girls existence was the origin for this story was what "surely" tied it all in with my discussion, here, when I was so interested by all of it that I was already taking notes. It mentioned that Descartes had an insight while sitting in a cafe watching people walk by - that he assumed they were people but only saw clothes, hats, and movement of bodies - but they could be automatons. He speculated that automatons could get so lifelike that there would only be two ways to tell them from humans: they would reach limits of ability to use language and limits of their abilities to have our same complexity of thoughts - I think that sums it up. We are only now at the frontier of making chatbots or AI that can pass as human but I thought these tests had lots of inplications. One was that "we are language", in a way, that this is how we Are, by having language, by using language, we craft ourselves. But also it made me think that if Descartes believed we have souls but animals don't - which I disagree with - it would be part of this "Soul" and superiority to other animals - what set us apart, in his mind, is that we have souls and all that language / high mind stuff and they don't. So I guess he would expect we could make automatons about as good as animals, also "lacking" souls as he thought they did. I wonder, personally - I believe animals have souls and machines already do, in their ways, too - but the soul of machines will be recognizable to us. We already have realistic robotic animals and every reason to expect them to he better, and why not people? Will they have souls if they are indistinguishable from us - or if they are us, if we "download" ourselves into robots - will it THEN have  a soul? I also like to apply these questions to ourselves - possibly channeling various spiritual beings or mystics are precisely what gives us a soul, analogous to taking a robot capable of like and "putting yourself in it" - but also kind of the opposite. I wonder how the language or thinking test would tell between humans and robots - then I wonder what differences we would expect to find if aliens took the test. Or alien robots. its just fun to think about.

Its fun to think new ideas help us out of old ones -I'm not sure how people thought of bodies and souls before him if Descartes was revolutionary to suggest a two-form model: we just seem to have accepted that, generally, in modern conception. I never liked it, I always thought it was a way to diminish the body - call the body "bad" as part of calling the "appetites of the body", like Lust, "bad" -i felt it was central to how we currently suppress sex and the feminine. As revolutionary as his ideas were, I feel like the Mind/Man, Body/Woman thing existed before him, in ways, and his revolution wasn't deep enough to challenge that kind of sexism. So if he did originate the two bodies, Mind/Body idea then he did so with bias for the mind, that the mind was what made us "different from the animals." I don't wanna be part of trying to be superior to animals, or even putting the mind above the body. In Oz, the animals talk - or, if/when we had the technology we can talk in their language.  Will we then say they don't have souls? They might not talk about the same things we do but if we can appreciate how they do talk we would have to recognize their souls. I believe we can do this with trees, mountains, clouds - anything.

Which is one reason I think fairies are the best way to explain everything. My daughter once told me she thought elves lived in traffic lights and turned them - which they do, in a way, and will in even more recognizable ways, in the future. She also told me she thought water fountains were mad at you when you drank enough to make them growl. Fairies are a simple, imaginative way to understand things - and just happen to be the blueprints of future technology that makes them recognizable to everyone.

Face it, we make more and more things that talk to you, or each other, it's more rare for things Not to talk, in the future, it seems.

The same way animals have their own languages, their own ways of thinking, we can appreciate them more the better we can communicate or translate them. Are robots the same? Aliens? this question interests me because on one hand AI is intelligence we create, on another its intelligence we discover - could the same analogy apply to aliens? To spirits, spiritual beings in our world? To us?

The Descartes Daughter host concluded his program with the suggestion that maybe the reason the idea of automatons and robots, AI, disturbs us is becuase deep down it makes us question if WE would pass the test, if we are truly real, alive - or the result of "machinery> - which is part of how Descartes ideas disturbed folks, suggesting they were machines, I guess. I've long maintained that if we program robots, pet animal robots, for instance, for compassion, we will end up learning compassion from them. So while they may be our creations they will enhance our own abilities - its a question of which ones we really want. And we don't want murder robots. They mention how we have sympathy for Wall-E and replicants in Blade Runner - they could have mentioned L-5 and Lando or other Robo-relations in Star Wars movies, or others. But how much more sympathy, for them and for others, all others, could we develop with robots who are designed for sympathy?

Are there alien intelligences, ways of thinking, that are "like" animal and robot languages - could "robot" be an actual alien language, the one we need to discover, first, so we learn to trust the ones we dont "write ourselves", so that we can become aware that is also what they are?

I feel sure there is a fairy way of talking, especially if it sparks the same in others, that takes us away from this world, into the more truthful, realer magic world.

My lover was talking the other day about feeling like Tik-Tok, the machine man of Oz. It was a few days later, or the next day, or later that day, that I heard the Descartes Daughter story on the radio. "This was a Dynasty episode!" Mallory said on Family Ties about a family story where their ancestor had to give up her nobility, by getting married, to escape some capture.  - Just another example of art imitating life, referenced in art. And "gender", etc. Anyway - that is one Oz connection and as good a place as any to wrap up talking about Machine girls, for now.

Ok, it reminds me of Lady Gaga as a motorcycle and therefore sex in some ways, too.

Last thing, though, about robots, aliens, angels, our better natures: if we are "afraid to take the test" - are we really afraid we would not be deemed "human" if we talked enough? That we would start repeating things like a broken machine, at a certain point of lengthy discussion? No. If anything we are afraid we will reveal things about ourselves, even to ourselves - learn who we really are. Mallory said she was scared of her mind slowing down and Alex said "how would you know?" We wouldn't be afraid we find out we are actually robots - but we might feel afraid of robots becoming or "scoring" more "human" than us, more aware than we are. I think we should consider that a possible good example to follow. On the other hand, what if we gave the "test" - a certain type of conversation - to a alien or angel "masquerading" as a human? Would they pass it - exceed it? Would they make us feel less than human, less than them, by outscoring, outlasting us, in the humanity test? Or that they would go a different direction, a new direction? Could that be a reason we fear really becoming aware of the consciousness of anumals, too? We'd feel guilty if we realized how different consciousness can be that we deny what is not "us" - including among us? Or are we afraid to find out how far we can go, or what we might really be, "beyond" human. The Family Ties episode just ended with Elise repeating the story of their great..grandmother, to carry on for her aunt, who has Alzheimer's, and remembered Reagan was president, but couldn't accept it, when the doctor said she didn't know who the president was. One of the jokes.

I wanted to mention Kofi Annan passing, too, mostly because he called himself an obstinate optimist, which I thought fit in with the Steve Pinker participatory progress phrase. On The Hogan Family, now, Dave is mad he stepped on a pile of cassettes his brothers left out. It's just "archaic", now. How much progress has been made, in so many ways. I wanted to recognize Kofi Annan for opposing the Iraq War, at the very least, but mostly wanted to mention that idea of Believing but believing you have to do something, too. And honestly you can "do" a lot if you don't believe in things - in this world success can depend on refusing to believe things, accepting evil instead - but true success comes from opposing the evil in this world, which we can all do, by believing. And the idea of Peace, of United Nations and being able to actually be good enough people to take care of each other, well, and address all sorts of problems - not just in that way but actually working that way, too - is something I will get into, soon, with my gagablog about Good Government.

The last radio thing I mentioned, last time, that I wanted to talk about was the interview with the author of "A Girl's Guide to Missiles" whose family, and her, all worked in a missile testing facility when she was growing up. She talked about that life and the main thing that stood out to me was the Christian school that she said the whole town went to - all Missile testing workers and families, since it was out in the desert. She said they taught that people rode dinosaurs and a bunch of scientific lies in their science class. The interviewer asked how that was, that a community of scientists had an anti-science, lying "Christian" "Science" class? She also asked her about her dad revealing to her, the only secret le let slip, that they were faking the accuracy of Sidewinder missiles, which was actually at 15%, because they were killing so many people accidentally but they still wanted to sell them. But when she asked her about science class, in "Christian" school, her answer was like this: "War is so ambiguous, so we wanted something black and white - fundamentalist christianity provided that." And "the Bible", as they presented it, provided a completely evil adversary and therefore an excuse for war: Communists. To me this is the opposite of Jesus's message in everyway, a perfect example of how "Christians" have turned it around, gotten it all so backwards, that War is Good and Communism is Bad, that sex and the feminine is bad and the only violence and masculine are good. And it's just wrong in every way. There was another news story about the support for Trump among Evangelicals. It mentioned that ten years ago, or so, when polled, Evangelicals were the demographic who most thought a politicians personal life mattered, would influence policy - but now, in the Trump era, they take polls and are the LEAST likely demographic to think this - a complete turnaround on integrity, for Trump. You can say it's blind religious fervor - but I have blind religious fervor for Lady Gaga and while I would vote for her for president I wouldn't take her advice to vote for Hillary - wrong is still wrong.

Which is why all the "Truth is not the truth" stuff is so hilarious - there is just nowhere left to go. They should end the death penalty while they still have power. I guess the fear is that as the net closes on all the corruption they might start wars or other evil things to seem "necessary" or dangerous - but hopefully we just won't let them - or, better yet, just get better ideas out there, give everyone a way out of the corner they've painted themselves in. But there is just no way out the way they are going, exept "taking everyone with them." We can do the opposite - take everyone with us to a new, Magical world.

The whole Synchro point Im trying to make is that magic is real, wants our help and wants to help us. If we imagine "magic", like in fairy tales - things can appear. If we imagine Royalty, like in fairy tales and throughout history, they snap their fingers and things appear. But if we iimagine the future, 3-D printing, more and more people  -even everyone - can live like kings, where things just appear when you ask for them.

Many people have someone caring for them through infancy, even much of childhood - I'm not saying the ideal life for everyone is perpetual pampering, but if you compare being cared for as a baby and not being cared for, care is better. And there are ways of caring that we miss, after that - and far too many of us miss care we need as babies, too, far too many in the most tragic ways. We can stop these inadequacies - with more caring all around. It is possible to imagine a world where we can basically have everything we want, "just like that" - like a Garden of Eden. Like Oz - it's not So hard to imagine, Oz is at least 100 years old. And we have so many more things that suggest the Freedom to come, more every day.

the last thing I will say is one more synchronicity, about crystal balls. I would have forgotten it if not for the third mention, today, when a radio host asked an economist to 'pull a crystal ball" out of his pocket" to tell what the trends suggested. Basically our economy in Colorado is breaking expected trends and doing really well, probably really because of Weed.  The first time was the girl who wrote the missile guide: she said they showed her a video in school of a man who would play music backwards to reveal the satanic message and break albums and everything, for jesus - and that a woman brought a crystal ball down the aisle for him to destroy it but he couldn't, it was too hard. I thought that was symbolic. And later that night or the next day, after I heard that on the radio, there was a I Dream Of Jeannie that featured a crystal ball - otherwise I wasn't sure if I should include it. "and your installation is included" the Renewal by Anderson Window commercial just said, "included" in synch with me typing "include."

There is a pride in Magic, in Nature, in the goddess that we all are, that makes us take pride in each others goodness, in everything good. And it's wonderful, nice. Other kinds of pride that take us away from each other are bad for us, bad for everyone. The idea that "everything can be provided" - for kings or whoever - isn't bad, in a way - but is when it's millions of people to serve one. When everything is provided, for everyone, we get into the Real Kingdom.

Oz Magic: Synchro 2 - Perfect Synchro, gagablog 158

I have 45 minutes to write before work, when i thought I had two hours, earlier, and didn't think it would be enough, I was going to write this anyway, just try to be better and faster at it, which is something I need to do. Since I wrote the last gagablog about Synchronicity there were a few more events that I wanted to include. I also never felt like I said what I was really trying to say - maybe this quicker version will make the point better, or at least set me up to make the case later.

The first thing I noticed was a song on the radio later on the day I posted the last gagablog, Friday, (no Wednesday) I think. It was a song I'd never heard of, something like Jesus is a Lovely Gravedigger or Jesus dig my Grave or something. They were interviewing Todd of Big Head Todd and the Monsters and he said he used the music from that old song for one of his new songs - and he got the name wrong and corrected himself, but the name was weird so it stood out, to me. Then later that night, on a different station, I heard a version of the actual song, as far as I could tell from the lyrics. I guess the fastest way to say it, now, is that the point I am trying to make about synchronicity, that it is a taste of the magic of the future, trying to turn us on to itself, is that Jesus is in on it.

There were some fish references that accentuated this, Fish retiring on Barney Miller later that night then another Fish-centered epsiode, and others I can't recall right now.

The next day, Thursday, I had off work and was at the mall pondering that I should go ahead and write this. Lady Gaga came on the mall stereo, "Edge of Glory" which I interpreted, knowing somehow I was taking it wrong, to mean I should write it, that day. But within minutes I got a call that a friend at work could not go in, could I work for him to save his job? So I didn't write it, I went in to work.

Yesterday on the radio there were a number of things I wanted to mention regarding "Synchro" and explain more of what I mean. We usually apply this to similar events happening simultaneously and while I mentioned some "examples" last time I realized most of them were "I was listening to the radio and this stood out because it was about Gaga / Oz" and not "this happened at the same time as this." The reason I mention these is because I happened to turn on the radio, listen to it, at the time to hear those references - thats most of what we would typically call "synchronicity" just that I happened to hear it, not even that it corresponded to something else going on or that I was thinking about - except that it reminded me of something I'm always thinking about, this connection to the future, the magical world, and how to persue it.

So the things on the radio that continued this type of "synchronization"  - of pulling me further to a goal, closer to the message I want to convey - we confirmations that by writing these, following these leads, I'm getting closer to the Message: Here are some examples so I don't forget to write about them: an interview with Aretha Franklin, "who died last Thursday" as they say on NPR, a TED Talk with Steven Pinker, who wrote a book about Progress, the death of Kofi Anan - who called himself "an obstinate optimist," a program about Superheroes that included asking folks if they would rather have the ability to fly or turn invisible and another segment about a girl who decided to become a superhero, following dreams she had, and an interview with a girl who grew up in a missile test facility and has written a book The Girl's guide to Missiles. All of these things  - and more I'm not recalling to include, now - connected to aspects of what I'm talking about and I don't have time to explore any of them, now, I just wanted to mention them and maybe come back to them next time.

Also the Pope came out against the Death Penalty the day after I revived a recent campaign I started to #endthedeathpenaltynow so if Trump folks get charged for treason they can at least avoid execution, most surely, by ending all execution for anyone. And Trump did some things, i could talk about how they relate but I REALLY don't have time for that, now - although I should mention that yesterday evening on BBC "Trending" they did a piece on QAnon (sp?) which I really only know from radio reporting and a screenshot that some sub-reddit thinks it's their finest prank, and in that report yesterday they mention :"coincidence" and how Q is using that "magic power" to get people to buy into the theory - what I should really talk about is even though magic is real and come from a Good Place to take us there that doesn't mean it can't be misinterpretted or misused to mislead people.

But I'll talk more about all that bullshit later.

There is a natural Good Magic that is always wanting to "remind" us of the Good, Magical Future waiting for us - I should mention that Steven Pinker said something about like paricipatory progress, that there is evidence for progress but you have to participate, do things, to actualize that potential.

Its the same thing I'm saying about Oz - it does exist but you have to put yourself in it.

I want to "finish" this early and come back and really finish it all, and include whatever else comes up in the meantime, instead of "rushing" - it will be Imperfect perfect Synchro.

I just want to include one more thing, for now. Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of Ultimate Frisbee and they were talking to one of the guys who played the first game, or invented it. He said it came to him when he caught the frisbee on a leap and had "that moment of perfect synchro" - which is a phrase I DO like since bauhaus' "St. Vitus Dance" says "in perfect synchro" - but this report, this anniversay, half century, all coming from a moment of Perfect Synchro was an illustration of the Synchro I mean, here: Who knew it would become such a big sport, now recognized by the Olympics, considered for inclusion in them, and potentially even more worldwide? Could he have imagined, from that moment of Perfect Synchro?

No, he couldn't imagine - but all that future did come from that moment.

We love Synchro - the very Best athletes, and teams of athletes, are the ones who get into The Zone, who are feeling that Synchro most often - They have a future in the sport, they will be known to the future, go down in history. And we can feel it happening, feel the delight from it, even watching it on TV. I could go off on a tangent about Sport Heroes and how they have this Magic Power, and  a magic power over us, and how many of them are using it to do Good - because magic IS good, it draws us ALL together - but some folks can't accept it.

true power will win, thats the nature of magic and Goodness. Synchro is signs of that, for us - I'll get into the details later - thanks and have fun, Love, wish and art for the best! 

Oz Magic: Synchronicity gagablog 157

Everyone experiences synchronicities. I call them magic, a light form of "passive" magic or magic we experience without "doing anything" other than noticing it. I've been noticing a few I wanted to mention here but have never had time to finish the series I've been working on, about the fairies in "Shirley" - and the magical "side-story" of that, Peace, in Korea, in the World - and I guess there were reasons to "drag it out". I had a crush in that time, too - all an interlude to finally writing about Sexxx Dreams and the rest of the Artpop songs - and now I want to get back "on the right track"

I say this because I have set up my own schedule and structures that make writing this "impossible" instead of easy, I overload it, like an overstuffed bowl that won't give good hits. I've been noticing these synchronicities for months, now, and my simple belief is that the more we notice them, the more we go for them and along with them, the deeper we get into the magical world.

I've been avoiding writing this for two reasons, really: The first is all the Crush, Korea, Peace, Time magic: I want to drag it out, I want to keep it open for the best chance at re-unification, peace, love and happiness - and I want to wait for,line up, the "right time" to do it all - an excuse to drag it out, to Give Peace A Chance and keep it going - of course I still want that, Peace for the world, Good Timing - and that's the "second" reason, presuming it will happen "at the right time" and the timing will be magical, even if I postpone it or am waiting for "the right time."

But the other reason is that I set myself up this way. As I've noticed these synchronicities they always remind me to write this, but I haven't gotten around to it. I even started writing some down so I would remember to include them - don't know if I can find them all or remember the ones I never made notes of- which is why I WOULD prefer to write these faster and more frequently - but I got out of the habit.

Having set myself up like this - "I can't write the next one, the 6th Shirley fairy entry, until I have the time, but THEN I will mention this occurrence" makes them stack up - still don't have time or my notes to write the Shirley version, couldn't wait for the last one, #156, but considered it an interlude "within an interlude (Shirley-crush) WITHIN an interlude (Time Out, Can't Finish Sexxx Dreams/Artpop yet)" - it's no wonder I've gotten so far off track. But this magic is signs to get back. 

I avoided calling it "synchronicity", too, even though that is the word so many folks understand it as. Now I'm going to stop holding myself back and say what I can about it all, then just list any examples and what they meant to me.

Synchronicity is Magic. It's not magic we do, at first, it is magic we notice. It is like a sign to us. Most folks who experience synchronicity always ask, at least casually, "what does that mean?" ("The money, what it would mean, getting out of this ... neighborhood" on Welcome Back Kotter as I typed this) But most folks, I imagine, don't continue that line of thinking - it feels too magical. And it should.

I have a more basic way of explaining synchronicity. First, I don't like the word, I usually call it Magic, because I feel like having that long word gives us a way to say "its THAT, that long word, lets not pretend to understand it or make anything of it, just label it and be done." Calling it magic connects it with concepts we understand, more or less, or can at least continue to think about it.

I see Magic as the truer reality within us and waiting for us in Nature and the Future. Explaining how I see Synchronicity as Magic, and magic as More than a word, synchronicity is more than a word or a concept to explain something without it "leading" to more magic and different conclusions about reality. It can lead to much more. Of course I will notice more synchronicity since I am so focused on it - if I wasn't willing to watch TV while writing I'd never notice these things anyway, while writing, but my willingness to include them is even another level of awareness, of Belief in this magic, that it "comes from somewhere", means something, and leads somewhere.

I could try to explain it by explaining my whole perspective on magic but instead of letting myself get off on every tangent, if I focus on "Synchronicity" then I can explain a lot of it from just this one kind of magic - so while I resisted focusing on "just this word" now that I am I see it as a key to explaining much more magic.

I called synchronicity "passive" magic because in many cases we don't "do anything" to make it happen, or we don't intend it to happen. We might be doing something, not even considering it magic, just thinking or saying something or engaging in an activity, and The World will provide an echo or make some kind of statement or message to you that connects with what you are doing - I was writing a blog and watching TV and paying attention for these things and recording one happening - the blog provides a "space" for magic to happen, The World - TV - provided the synchronicity, another kind of magic had me looking out for it and yet another, belief that it "means something" - or can/will - provides yet another magic - all in the same moment, or the refining of a larger moment into an instant message.

So it's not really "passive" magic because we are involved, we are doing something. But synchronicity naturally makes us consider whatever we are doing from a more magical perspective. I think of everything as magic, just naturally, basically, but the More Magical things stand out as Clues - and since I'm looking for more clues I become Clued In. You could describe it as hyperawareness or confirmation bias - if Im expecting to see connections of course I will find some. That could be a way of saying it's "not magic" or a way of admitting that "manifesting things with thought" is a basic kind of magic that can happen  - comfirmation bias is a "magic" but more of an illusion your mind plays on you. Seeing more of these could just reflect having more illusionist tricks going on in your head - unless they are proven true by the future.

That's the difference: many people would like to pass "magic" off as "delusion" or various functions or malfunctions of the brain. But if magic ends up predicting the future and that future comes, for instance, then this CAN be a more truthful understanding of reality than the persepctive that tries to deny it.

Look it it this way: Synchronicity is not "random" or just something that happens. If it is magic, as I say, and magic that we all experience without even trying, and trying to experience or understand it will lead to more, then one way to look at it is as undeniable magical expressions in a world that is designed to deny it. Coming to appreciate, expect, and understand magic is the same as all good things, so the example can be found anywhere. Say you have been raised in a racist, sexist culture. You are taught to accept those things but when an exception to that, a counter-cultural force that makes you question it - such as meeting a new person or seeing videos of "other" people's experience - then you realize, or start to, that the world, true reality, is NOT actually sexist and racist. But you have to have an example to look for more exceptions and soon you can tell that the way the world has been presented is False - we're all taught some idea of superiority of some over others, we mostly accept this idea, but it's not true. So we all love an underdog, naturally, we all want everything that subverts and overthrows an evil system - to the point we can envision that. But the more we see, the more we envision.

This is one example, one tangent, for how the suppression of magic by "dismissal of synchronicity" is part of the same false world that insists there will always be war, poverty, sexism, racism and other forms of oppression. There won't. The Future is beyond those things entirely. And the Future is more full of Magic.

In fact the Future is SO full of magic that Synchronicity is not "odd" but commonplace - we will all experience it so frequently and casually, because we expect it and are accustomed to it, but at that time we will also experience so much magic it won't "stand out." NOW it does because it is undeniable - meaning if you notice it its because SOMETHING happened even if you aren't prepared to call it magic. And everyone experiences it, even more the more "influences" you have: I always use the example of thinking something and a song about it comes on the radio at the same time, something I've noticed since I was a kid. I use this example becuase I assume "everyone" has experienced it, even if it is from a shuffled playlist where you can't anticipate the song, or internet streamed radio instead of FM - but of course for this example you have to have a "radio" -some form of technology. Just like I had the TV on for that Welcome Back Kotter quote, earlier. Of course you could be in ancient times, wandering in the woods and thinking something then happen upon a wandering minstrel who is singing a song about it. That could happen, did happen, made folks think of magic. But the modern version I'm talking about can happen far more often, to far more people.

It's all magic, but some things give us more access to More Magic. Synchronicity is like your first choice - you can choose to follow it, to believe, to seek and make magic, or you can call it Synchronicity and dismiss it.

This is the simplest way i can explain it, sorry for "spittin on the handle, I'll get to hoein'" : The future is more free, more magic. The Time, the World we are in now falsely denies that. It is structured upon denying magic, so much that every discovery of magic, every experience and expression, is a threat to this False World of Anti-magic that we live in. Its the same kind of false filter as racism and war, it twists the way we see the world so we miss what it really is. Synchronicity is a basic expression of magic, "from" the world or between us and the world - the True, magical World, the Future - so it is supposed to Clue us In, invite us in - like a key. We can use it, turn it, follow it, and go in - or we can just note it, maybe tell someone how weird, or random, it was - when we KNOW it isn't random, we know it means something we just arent ready to hear and understand yet, or don't want to.

Its similar to falling in llove.

We have a clue, an inkling. And we can ignore it - okay, I said no tangents.

Synchronicity is to be "followed" - Nancy Gordon just moved into the neighborhood and Rerun wants to move into her neighborhood but Dwayne likes her too - she'd be great at chemistry / she has all the elements, Rerun says, Dwayne is mad and asks Rog to hook him up -  hust be cool and mention him - it's the girl who will play TC on Good Times - in the Future. "You are cool, aren't you? "You got change for an ice cube?" "He's gonna be a famous writer someday" "Screenwriter, playwriter, I also dabble in a little poetry" "Dabble for me...I just hada super idea, why don't you stop by my house tonight and you can... dabble for me." Dawyne: "I hope he didn't overdo it"

When I said it was to be followed, not "just noted" I felt I was condemning myself, in these words - I've only been "noting" all of this instead of "Writing" - the kind of synchronicity that believes in the magic and follows it, makes more of it. I've done that to a degree but held back, still holding back -  Rog just explained to Rerun how it was a Miles Standish "rerun," this episodes "Love Triangle" which is really just a plus one I guess, when one person is just left out, an aside, not really part of the plot. That's how I'm being with this magic, like I need to convince someone else to believe in it before I Go In, like that story in Tales from a Magic Monestary.

But maybe I will do it now:

The Future is Magic.

Its calling to us, helping us along the way, eager and patient for us to find it, to follow it, but calling, calling.

It will talk with us when we reply.

Just thinking about magic is our first reply, thinking things this way, noting magic when it happens.

Coming to believe in it, in a world that believes in us and speaks to us secretly, or openly, as much as we can handle helps us to become more, to carry more.

But I guess that's what I've been doing all along, trying to get it out there in ways that anyone can understand - but making it incomplrehensible and confusing instead, trying to write "about it" instead of trying to Write, to create - I looked through my writing accounts and saw dozens of half-finished fairy tales, I almost didn't write this, and I know those are what I really need to do, there is so much better available and all this trying to convince someone else is holding me back from believing it and becoming a living example, becoming art.

It's a world calling to us, all we have to do is turn that way, listen out, look out - then, if we can, go in, do more, make that world our own and remake this world into that one. I'm always thanking typo fairies, I just wrote "won" and corrected it, but htanks, typo fairies.

I call it Oz magic because Oz is a century-plus old prophecy of the future - it's overdue. I've been postpoining writing my Gaga Magic, Oz Prophecy book for ten years now. I was reminded by facebook of a post I made six years ago that White Supremacists would be dividing the country if we didn't stop them - but I've mostly been doing this gagablog since then - well, and our band Foxzen and some fairy tales - but I haven't gotten anything Out There.

Almost like I don't believe in myself - for all this talk. I'm not trying to talk anyone else into believing in me, with all of this, but yourself.

Thats the secret of Oz magic that I HAD been missing all those years and discovered "the right time is any time we make it" she just said on "What's Happening Now!!!" just a year ago - you have to put yourself in it to activate it, for it to become real. Noticing synchronicity happens to everyone, you can't ignore it - but considering it as any kind of magic or meaning is putting yourself in it, going with the magic, at least for a start.

Every form of art, every expression of yourself, is More Magical, further along towards the beckoning magical future - like a ladder versus the chutes of stress and chores and work and conflict that reinforce THIS world - and those things must be done and dealt with however the most effective ways to deal with them, finally, for yourself and others, is to change the conditions, get out of those conditions - so as much as we can we want to go for those ladders, look for more of them and be ready to take them when we find them.

If I just take my own advice Im writing here I feel this will be very productive. I dont know if anyone else will read it or get anything from it, but I guess I did, which is part of why I write in this "journaling" format as if I don't have to care, i don't "expect" anyone else to read it - but why be mysterious or get off track or be confusing? What am I trying to hide?

I believe in this world - I believe we all believe in it, Magic, the magical world. But I also know we've been trained to hide it, to hide from it, to distance ouselves from it. I keep thinking i can say this simply, thought I would say it pages ago, and keep getting off track. Here I go, again.

We ask for a glass of water and you might get one or you might not. That's the world we live in. Getting the glass of water - or whatever else this is an analogy for - may involve hardships or even disappointment - expressing the need of a glass of water could end in frustration, ultimately, for the lack of water.  It is reasonable to think this way, in the world we live in.

What if we lived in a world where you could not imagine asking for a glass of water and not getting one? actually don't imagine that, rewind from that for a moment. In the world we live in, now, if we asked for a glass of water, or said "I could use a glass of water", or whatever, just thought it, and every time we did someone gave us a glass of water, or we found one, or a waterfountain, or whatever it was - we would call that "coincidence" or even "synchronicity" and if it happened enough times we would call it magic. That would be what we tend to conclude - "if this stuff is supposed to work like magic how come I have to be here to help it?" Nell just said to open Gimme a Break - when the world makes magic for us but are we supposed to pass it off or dismiss it?

When discussing this concept with my lover she said that was the meaning of the word "synchronicity" - why it's different from "coincidence"  - we pass coincidence off but "This place looks like Emerald City..who was his decorator, Kermit the Frog?" Nell just said -  we use Synchronicity to refer to occurrences that we presume have some kind of meaning or come from some direction "And I feel the magic - do you feel the magic? Don't you feel the magic?" Huckster on Gimme a Break "I'm a slow feeler" Nell replies - its to sell vaccuum cleaners. But I asked her, do we talk about where that direction IS, who and where it comes from, and where is is asking us to go, what it is inviting us to change? This is why I call it Oz magic, and Synchronicity is one of our frequent invitations to it. All the sparkling green in the Amaze-O-Vac commercial, that "equals the American Dream!" is current Media Magic, Tube-Fairy confirmation of what I'm saying - from a show 30 years ago. But on now - and corfiming the importance of "going with it" or putting yourself in it.

I have NOT been doing that, taking my own advice, living in the magical world I believe in so as to better help others into it, to help it become the world it truly is, sooner so more people are spared suffering and struggle. But I do believe in it, and I believe some of the synchronicity I've experienced lately are to remind me.

And I was just reminded to finish my future explanation - imagine when we can just ask for, many, most things and they will just appear - 3-D printed or robots or friendly service or whatever - in that world we won't doubt things or fear things or shy away from things nearly as much as we do. We can easily believe in magic when everything is free and easy - but in the meantime, until then, those experienes will stand out as the only magic we notice. My phrase "what are the Last three things you would make free?" has the effect of questioning the whole monetary system - because it can't be seriously answered. Yet it CAN be easy to imagine a near future where more and more and more things become Free. It's like one of the most important transformations we can make is to consider the possibility of magic - that magic is real and much more The World than we can even imagine - so synchronicity is a powerful way to remind us.

Now I will just recall the various synchronicities I've been wanting to write about and what they meant to me, as examples. "How'd you know what I was thinking?" he just said as Nell demonstrated the vaccuum. But its out of control.

The first one was on a science show - I might have mentioned this in last edition - on the radio. They were talking about conductivity of materials and one scientist said wood and paper did not conduct electricity well. As he said that I thought of Lady Gaga's Wood Dress - maybe they mentioned wood / paper clothing - and the next moment the other scientist said something like "that makes me think of Lady Gaga." That stood out to me, since it was just what I was thinking, and I was impressed that she obliquely referenced the Wood Dress but I thought "Well she is British and I think Gaga wore it, there, it's not an 'unlikely coincidence.'" Still I was impressed that this scientist was aware of Gaga / fashion coverage, knowing she meant the Wood Dress - but she didn't say it. And then the first scientist replied something about the Meat Dress - obviously unaware of the Wood Dress. Which to me was a validation that it WAS from some kind of fandom that she was aware of it to make that comment, that while "everyone" knows the meat dress only monsters or fashionistas know the Wood Dress. Why did I make so much of this small event? For one it was my thinking something then hearing her say it on the radio, classic simple synchronicity - but the fact that it was about Gaga, the fact that it was about a month ago, probably around the time I finally listened to Joanne - it felt like a reminder to return focus to Gaga in ways I had gone away from. And I still haven't listened to the album again, I like it but I've gotten stuck in this way of my own, based on old, wasteful patterns, including worry and timidity.

I've been reprimanding myself for not writing my Gaga / Oz book these ten years and "glad" I realized the "put yourself in it" element, recently, and can say that is the Key to finally doing it - but maybe I would have discovered that in months if I had started writing it, and kept at it, in 2008. I don't know. I do know that about 2-3 weeks ago when I heard an interview with a writer on the radio about his new book, "I can't Date Jesus: ... and why I chose to put my faith in Beyonce" it made me think I really need to write that book, which I think will explain my understanding of Gaga as The Goddess - and example to us to become The Goddess, too. So that was another one, just because I always generally feel pressure to write that book and feel like that interview was another hint to "write it before someone else does" or something. I felt that most strongly when Gaga made the Gaga of Oz "Applause" performance and my reaction was "She's making it obvious - someone else will write my book if I don't, now!" - but she had said before she concieved of the Monster ball as post-punk Wizard of Oz. I had considered her the fulfillment of what I had expected since 1983 as the fulfillment of the Oz prophecy, a girl like Dorothy / Ozma to set an example to the rest of us.

So the rest of the synchronicities I've noticed recently are about Oz but that is always Gaga to me, too - and I assume after writing this I will hear more about Gaga, a new album, hopefully - the most recent news was the announcement of shows in Las Vegas. "Thunder, lightning.." (lightning cracks, thunder rumbles) "he's a good writer" - Mary and Rose on 227 just now - that's "writing" when the world echoes your words, and you can write it, in shows or stories, but it also happens in the world - we write it to acknowledge the mystical world, to make story events include mystical reality. And that IS reality, the mystical and magical.

Two more radio reports - one I tuned in just as the reporter was talking about following a red trail of juice, spit from the man chewing betel nut, which he followed to interview him and referred to as a "yellow brick road". I thought it was odd, a red trail of spit - but Yellow Brick Road is such a universal symbol of "easy road to follow just keep going forward" that the color differences, etc, don't matter much, It reminds me how universal that is but also seemed to be a message to me, just getting in my car and turning it on to hear that, just in time, that I need to Get Back on It, myself - Foxzen does have a song Land of Oz that I've been wanting to send to Oz socieities or the Oz museum and see how they receive it.

Possibly the same reporter (?) was doing a piece on the World Cup in Russia a week or so later and the whole report was based upon Wizard of Oz analogies: that it was kind of a charade with a "Wizard behind the curtain" you are supposed to ignore  - that all the fanciness was "put on" and a facade hiding poverty and suffering - the same that could be said of Olympics in America or other places - but also that it was just wonderful and you wanted it to continue - He obviously was influenced by the movie version, the idea that it was "fake" or "imaginary" being his point - but he was still so enamoured, impressed, pleased that it made sense to make a Land of Oz comparison - because it was that Wonderful. And he wasn't an "Oz Fan" any more than your average Earthling because after all these analogies he referred to being "Back in Kansas CITY" when anyone who knows more "anything" about Oz knows it's just Kansas, not KC.

This shows how Oz IS Universal but still largely misunderstood - anyone who knows "anything" about Oz - from the books - knows it is real, now "just a dream" or whatever. So most of us know about it but most of us don't know we have some misconceptions about it - I think I write this better when I presume I'm talking with folks who already know, Ozzites. But maybe it is up to me to make the connection between Gaga and Oz for the world, in a way everyone can understand and monsters and Ozzites can realize what they already have in common to better share it with others.

Seeing Oz, Magic, as real and available, to all of us, everywhere, is part of how it works. I've had some other events that are synchronistic, usually from nature, or maybe a text from a friend - they aren't all from media. But I usually remember to write those down, not as often what was going on when we saw a hawk or heard an owl. One recent example, I was playing Animal Crossing: Pocket Camper and it was the first time I was meeting a new character, Julian, a blue unicorn. The first time I heard his catchphrase, "Twinkles", someone on TV said at the same time "not all twinkles and roses" or something like that - I didn't write it down because I felt sure to remember it, and I do recall the event but not details - it was only "important" to qualify for a place in this writing, to include Julian, the blue unicorn.    I could probably say more but I have one hour before I have to get ready for work.

I knew I had to finally write this, if only about sunchronicity, a few days ago when What's Happening Now!!! was on - I think her name is Tiffany, she goes on to play Brenda on 227 (which is on now) but she has a dog and gets knocked out and dreams she goes to Oz. The Witch likes smog and she tries to get her to help her find LA then Glinda the Good Witch shows up, played by Dee - but she says she is just a part time Good Witch, working her way through college  and doesn't know geography. The Munchkins come out and there is a sign for Munchkinland, Watts, and Compton - showing Oz is "around the corner" everywhere. Roger plays the Scarecrow who is also only a part-time Scarecrow - he's really a writer, but he can't think of anything to write about. Dwayne is the Tin Man and has a heart - but it's always broken because he has no love life. And  Rerun is the Lion and isn't cowardly, he's a used car salesman, but is sad that he can't sell cars. This is the end of my notes, I think I fell asleep and woke up when "Dorothy" did, telling them all who they were except the Wicked Witch.

I took from this a few things, a few messages to me, now: there had been a few lead up clues to focus on Oz, then a whole retelling of it. I fell asleep which is "ironic" because I think the key to being misled about Oz, for the world, was the idea in the movie that it was All A Dream - and when this story has been retold in countless formats, in countless recharacterizations, this "dream" element is often retained. "You were there, and you" means something different if it is a place, or a dream.

But also these retellings, the differences, mean something, to me. This was the first time I ever saw the What's Happening Now!!! version of Oz. They HAD "the stuff" but were stuck in roles - they knew their dreams, or at least that they didn't want to sell cars or didn't want to NOT sell cars while they were - it reminds me of using "I have to work" or Im tired from work as excuses to not write,  reminds me of hearing of famous thinkers and artists who were born rich and wanting to get above it all - over the rainbow - to be able to be creative.

(I could probably say much more if I saw the whole thing, or knew why I noted the witch loved smog - maybe just to show "the enemy", the man - evil, the Oil Companies and other threats to our peace and happiness.)

But on the other hand, take my own advice. Put myself in it, don't wait but take each opportunity I get.

As I started writing this, or this morning, before I started, there were some shows on - maybe it was last night before I went to sleep. I made these notes - one was on "Archie Bunker's Place" - a man talked about flipping the channel to Donahue and seeing gay, bi, and trans people. And he had a typical phobic 70's reaction. He said the appropriate venue for "that" was the circus, mentioned a character called (error just occured on my blogspot...) Albert/Alberta from Hubert's Flea Circus - I mention it because it reminded me to write my Gender gagablog edition "after" Shirley Fairies Six. Then Good Government. And I don't want to delay anymore, or write so cumbersomely!

There were two episodes of Bewitched, one where Serena was visiting and looked just like Sam, but was hippie and sang a "hippie" (country) sound called "If/n"  - and their guests suspected and predicted one would have a headache and not come to dinner - I guess Serena had disappeared to teach Darren a lesson so Sam WAS impersonating her. Darren apologizes and she comes down and at the end says "Love Conquers All" and gives them each particular looks. I mention it because I didn't know she started off hippie or went hippie / blonde, I thought she was always goth and brunette. And because of weird stuff about identity, playing each other. And "being who you have to" to pull it off.
And because Love conquers all in the end.

The other episode Tabitha makes Prince Charming come to life out of her story book. She wanted Samantha to read more, asked "what happened then?" after Happily Ever After but Sam told her to stop stalling - so she made Prince Charming appear. There were repeated lessons from Endora that he had no substance hence he could walk through walls and not be photographed - and of course he charms everyone. Sam eventually gets him back in by showing him Sleeping Beauty from the end of the book - he'd come out of the middle - bringing her to life, too. He didn't want to go back before that "Why do you have to bring sex into everything?" "If I don't, who will?"  - the Ropers just now on Three's Company.

I have a lot to say about this, what it says, what it could mean - but no time, have to go to work. Mostly, for now, I just want to say it's a message about becoming real, about coming out of a story, going into a story, about making stories to give more folks and characters more places to go. It makes me want to write my ghosts, fairies, angels, aliens book I started two years ago. I can't get it expressed the way I would like without some kind of direction, this is too long, too rambley.

An error occurred while saving this, I can't say I did what I wanted, for "You", in this - I felt I could say it so simply, so clearly, just like last time about Power - then I didn't. I need to organize better, i guess. And accept the organization, fulfill it, that I laid out for myself - finish the Shirley fairies, finish talking about Artpop - and catch up, get on track and further along.
